- In my opinion, the Uniqlo Blocktech Parka is an essential shell jacket for a budget techwear wardrobe. After owning one for a year, I feel I can give a good review on the parka. This has been a staple piece in my techwear style ever since I have got it.

Even their other parka is considered tech wear because it's dwr treated nylon, I got mines for a steal too. Maybe not something for heavy conditions but it keeps up and looks stylish.
oh and its packable, so I can clip it on my molle system when not in use :)

Watching this in 2022 and with the rise of Gorpcore, I feel like this piece is more suitable to be used in a Gorpcore setting rather than Techwear (Because those small hood resembling Arteryx piece)

Can you tell your height and the size of your jacket? I am trying to order it online but I wanna make sure I get the right size for me.
My biggest problem with mine is the lack of lining in the pockets. I find that my hands get pretty cold when I use this as an exterior shell during winter time.

dude i just got this jacket it's great. it performs well and looks good. perfect for casual to light technical wear. HOWEVER how the hell do you tighten it around the bottom ? It has a elastic cord on the right side but nothing to kinch it to hold it in place. Is your jacket missing this too??
mine has one of the drawcord toggles. I'm sorry to hear about that! It probably is a mistake on the manufacturer's behalf!
i think you might have a slightly earlier version or something. i rang the uniqlo store on oxford street and he checked one in stock, it didnt have it either!
i think you have to pull the cord into the smaller holes

Great review. What detergent do you use when washing? I can't find detergents here in the Philippines without brighteners. The care tag recommends that you avoid it.

i just got my rust parka and i dont know how to wash it and im scared it might damage my jacket
did you soak this jacket into water during washing process? and how long you wash this jacket using hand? is it necessary to iron this jacket? i have it, but its looked messy after wash, need to iron it, but I fear it will be broke the seal

The pants are Rothcho bdu pants but the last pants are cargos that he tapered.
As for the shoes in the first two pictures are qasa’s from Y3 while the last ones are Nikelab komuyter’s.
The bag in the first two pictures I’m not sure of but in the last is a R202 black eagle from Orbit gear.

Mine was already wrinkled so im not sure if steam ironing it will do good or bad.

I wouldn't recommend it unless you wear (a lot of) layers of clothing underneath the jacket.

Hood really doesn't look bad

Blocktech parka is not good for rain. First rain test then suddenly penetrates water inside...its only for acronym style.. not recommend for outdoor use
That is not a Parka, it's merely a jacket.
