All ten are grails, but novelty alone wears off quick, so it has to offer more in terms of use and function. I love the Prestos, but they are just sneakers. I prefer a solid pair of trekking shoes, when it's wet and cold.
FARGIN I think that's a good attitude to have. Ultimately it depends on how much you value the grail status as to whether buying most of the things in this video is worth it
I'm wearing my black Y-3 Qasa shoes right now. They're the coolest shoes I've ever owned. They might be "overdone" within the community, but I've never met anyone else that owns a pair.
That's a good point actually, it's easy to forget on Instagram/the internet generally that stuff which appears to be really common is seldom seen out in the real world.
I do agree with this list. I think that when ppl get interested about techwear they start searching about it and they always find at least of those items, they are like "the can't go wrong kit". but most of them belong to the techninja/urban ninja section and techwear isn't only about it.

600 dollars for a jacket is crazy. I’ll never understand hypebeast culture. Why wouldn’t you just buy a different brand with the same quality. I guess it’s because people think money is what makes clothes look good.
the kamakura parka from kapital is the ultimate in tech for me!!! utility and funcition down to a t! the neck pillow seems so useful and the design seems so perfect for such a variety of conditions. Plus it can pack up into a lil bag!
So glad haram style tapered pants became popular, they look so good on me. Mostly cause like I have kinda wide hips but not like at the hip, but further down right at the start of my thigh, so they really give me a much nicer shape.
I am surprised no one mentions Maharishi since most of the stuff tech wear does today are heavily inspired especially by their sno pants albeit lacking the total black aesthetic.
Swiss M70 Alpenflauge load bearing combat jacket. King of old school tech wear. I call having video surveillance by police of the public and online scrutiny of what you say "dystopian ".
I do know them! Doesn't have much of a performance focus and often their clothing is far too crazy for me, but they present some very cool and interesting looks
Hugh Dweek I know right, both those are flames but the prices are mad. Rumors floating around about more ACR Prestos releasing though so there might be a chance yet
Wrangler got some tech wear shorts and pants. I used them in the summer. Kinda like athletic and it has spf protection for a certain extent. Just FYI. Walmart getting tech wear by surprise.
I still have a steep tech apogee from 2006 with the front pouch. As tech as it looks, I feel like it's still not exactly techwear, it's just tech clothing... Or something... Hard to explain, but it goes well more with hood fashion to me like with timberlands than techwear. Maybe it's because every drug dealer in my neighborhood had one lol. Although, I do wear it with said clothing type, but I feel fine rocking it with baggy jogging pants and some air force 1's. Nonetheless, it's my favorite jacket I own period, I even wear it with dress shoes sometimes, even compared to my way more expensive coats and jackets. A true grail that can be had for not bank breaking prices.
Hey I'm looking for some techwear pants of some sort in a black or cream or white that are somewhat affordable, are there any styles you could recommend or retailers? Thanks, loved this, very cool!
Do you find that the grid Tanks fit large? There is no XL offered and often wondered how they fit? Would they fit similar to say a basketball jersey?? Thanks!! As always, awesome content!!
Muzz Milk They do a little yes, and they're really long as well. Mine is M and I normally wear L so large would probably be fine for you, particularly if you mostly plan on wearing it as a layering piece
This Is Antwon sincerely appreciate that!! As helpful as they are on social media I just couldn’t get the confirmation I needed, until now. Thank you kindly!!
I think that what happened with J28K is what happened with GmbH x Helly Hansen, Stone Island and several other brands i've seen in their quite recent collections, they've probably just had enough of that urban ninja style and are trying to relate to a wider spectrum from the cyberpunk genre, because let's face it, techwear started there (be it from the sci-fi anime/movies or regular asian industrial working garments ). So instead of doing endless black collections that i honestly think after 3 or 4 seasons become boring, they've opted for colour for a variety of outcomes, for a more vivid display of this once counter-culture, that is becoming more and more famous.
If you have a look back on the channel page there's a bunch of affordable tech videos which have some options in, but there'll be more on the way for sure
LOL- 'Over the top, because we don't really live in a dystopian future' Fun watching pre-pandemic videos. I am a girl obsessed with functionality in my clothes. However, I have a serious bent towards color. I can't bring myself to buy black. I prefer navy blue, but I could go for olive drab. Burgundy, golden yellow? I love gradient color fabrics. I love embroidery and technical textile skills of all kinds, but I think it is important to know where to place every detail. I love performance materials, even more when they are an ecological redesign. I need pockets, but such statements don't begin to describe my passion for them- for the carried universe. I kind of hate logos, and I really love bright or richly colored cyberpunk. I'd rather be efficient or majestic any day over cute in what I project. The true test of fashion I believe is in backpacking or hands on trades where one dresses for unique, and/or extreme environments, and an activity that requires tool or consumeables management. I think deep sea diving and space exploration have more to say about the fundamentals of fashion than the average runway show. Is there space for one such as me in this arena?
those who have no budget for even ACG, can u give me affordable brands name? Or cheap brand in tokyo? (im shopping in tokyo rn) i only know Zara makes some cargo like ACG. Give me ur recommendation.

It’s like techwear enthusiast we’re planning for the pandemic
Now it's finally paying off 👀
listening to him say wearing a face mask is costumey in 2020 is surreal.
all the talk about a dystopian future... ouch
Lmao, here we are in the dystopian future
I was really confused for a second then I saw the 2018 date.
And the fact this comment was made a year ago and we’re still in the middle of this, is also surreal.
You just ruined my unconditional love for the J28-K at 1:56 with that caption, Artillery. Can't unsee

holy shit thanks a lot for the $5k+ outfit rec /s
Y-3 underrated for techwear aesthetic (not necessarily technical performance, relax nerds)
People love to hate on Y-3 for not being 'proper' techwear performance gear, but aesthetically I think they have a lot worth considering

you can get "real" tactical cargos on amazon for 20$ hm same price but shit material (or not tecc) tbh lol
