Thanks for the very busy video Josh and Im really loving the change of scenery with your new position, and love dairy farming as that's how I was brought up. Love seeing that the farm is being kept tidy, as it makes it look so much productive and efficient. Thanks.
Hi Josh great video as always I love to see a clean farm and machinery Thistle's are a real pain and hard to kill a bit like mears tail and Japanese knot weed. It looks like you are enjoying your new job great stuff take care.
Another great video Josh I'm really enjoying your videos from you're new place you seem to be happy and enjoying the job and it come's across in the videos Looking forward to the next one
Plenty of Irish made machinery in the yard I see…. Keenan diet feeder, Mastek dribble bar that caught my attention 💪. Any chance of convincing Rob to go green on the tractor front?? 😂
It's amazing how quickly you learn to duck when you hear a cow cough isn't it Josh! Anyone who has milked will have received a cow poo poultice at least once in their lives lol!
Hi Josh another enjoyable vid, I liked your vids at North Wyke but as an ex dairy farmer much prefer these vids mate, also have you considered trying pre-mowing the grass.
Thanks Mark! Glad to hear it! The farm doesn’t actually have a mower, but interesting you say that as me and Rob were only discussing pre mowing yesterday!
@@JMFarming No problem mate, and I know pre mowing isn't everyones cup of tea, but at least it cleans up the field and the cows eat pretty much everything even grass they wouldn't normally touch, and you get a nice leafy regrowth ready for the next rotation.
Good idea about showing the farm animals your new round-up machine, it won't spook them now they have seen it. Josh, you know what they say about treading in dung, they say its lucky, the amount you have on your overalls I would buy two or even three lottery tickets.
Dry cuffs which are a kiwi brand are great. Made out of similar material as a wetsuit. Used them when had a mag burn on fore arm otherwise harden up lol. Can't stand milking gloves so unless it soaking wet & cow's muddy roll sleeves up and get in to it mate 😂. I wear bibs till it hot then apron and shorts and even milked in barefeet before. Do miss dairy farming but blown out back ruined that so other then odd milking here & there for mate's I'll stick to staying in a cab, workshop or fencing. Cheers & beer's Josh & 'boss' Abbie 👍🏻🍻🚜🔧🐄🇳🇿
Ideal! The afternoons I dont worry and i just have a shirt on, it's just the mornings when i wear a boiler suit I would to be a bit cleaner come the end of milking! It can be bad on your back and knees, gotta keep yourself right!
We have some great milking selves here in New Zealand happy to send a pair over for u too try? They water proof and can wash them during milking and after to keep clean and dry by afternoon milking let me know if u keen to try a some.

It’s becomes a subconscious reaction! 😂 all part of the job as they say!
@@JMFarming haha so true!
Good vid 👍 nice cubicle shed for how many?they say if you cut/top off Thistle just before rain the water goes down stem and kills it 🤞
Cheers 🍻
350 cubicles! Ah we’ve been smashing them and it’s now raining! 👌🏼
Try some kaiwaka milking sleeves or a milking top and bib and brace that’s wot I use
Thanks! I have the bib and brace already, top quality!

I don’t suppose many dairy cows have seen one! 😂 imagine all the shiny things I could buy with lottery winnings!

I’ve got myself a set that I’ll try out this week, I’ll let you know in a video! 👍🏼
How are you finding the McCormicks?
Spot on! Comfy enough and plenty of power! The exhaust brake is brilliant especially when the tanker is on!
Hi Josh found some arm sleeves on amazon
Got some delivered yesterday!
Which silage contractor do you use ?
Yeandles
Cows hate shiny! That’s why it was such a dirty milking
They were good as gold this morning! 1 cow out of 341 made a mess!
Rain jacket covers all accents in parlour pit just rinse off afterwards
Definitely going to look at something like that for the winter! Gone for some sleeves for now, hoping they arrive soon!
How about a bib an brace set
I wear one in the parlour already, just want to keep my arms clean 😂
u better take good care of belle :))
Of course!
@@JMFarming Thank u !!
