- Deleting the ABS system on my 1997 Chevrolet Silverado k3500 GMT400 truck since it hasn’t worked in the 2 1/2 years that I’ve owned it. I will be replacing it with a combination valve for a disc/drum application. This video is not meant to convince anyone to delete there ABS System. It’s just to show what I did to fix my brake issues. There are risks to deleting your ABS so please do your own research and if you decide to delete your abs understand that your deleting your ABS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
ABS lights or shorts are usually hub issues
your good you have time to work on my truck cant get anyone to touch my abs problem.......lol
Do you have part info for combo valve
How did you bypass the security? Is it the yellow and black/ orange ohm hack or do I have to disconnect the intermittent block with vehicle on?
Just run new brake copper lines.im do the same with my 92 suburban k2500 hydrobost and i also i want to convert the rear brakes to disk brakes.
How's that white truck now. Did ever get the big rear axle installed with the brakes.
Well shit what if I want to delete it but don’t have the ability to tune it
there are tuning taps available to adjust the pressure difference on the real brakes to compensate for the real wheel's tendency to lock up due to less weight on the rear wheels...you can dial down the amount of pressure going to the back
How do you bleed the new part?
What is the brand and source of the new valve?
Also, I see you have the 1:4” brake lines crossed over from the MC to valve? All the kits that include the premade lines don’t cross over from front to back?
well, holee sheet! u dun catched that boy in a fukd up deal. a different u tuber agrees wit u. well, he did say the truck is working better. oh well.
My 99 suburban did that I changed out the The front wheel speed sensors and it didn't come on anymore
Thats the parte number on that valve plz trying to do a ABS delete on my 95 ram plz help
If there is no answer i can assist you im a DIY guy!
@@SpidercarfixHello Mr DYI guy. I've tried everything to get the ABS and brake light off. 98 dodge ram 1500. Changed all 3 speed sensors, abs module, combo valve... still on. Suggestions?
@@keithhaynes5348 it won't get off if the module is configured to work with ABS . You need a module that Is not configured to work with ABS.
What I can suggest you: if you're sure you remove every single related to ABS because you want to get rid off ABS system. You still get the light on which I will consider normal. Next thing to do is to take off the ABS bulb in you cluster.
@@keithhaynes5348 if you meant to get the ABS system back to factory . You need to make sure that each components of the system is working. And the last step will be to bleed the system and reset the ABS module
What lift do you have on this truck
6” pro comp
So what are you do to get it inspected if you need to have no lights on the dash I mean I know I could take the bulb out but won’t still show up in the computer
Abs light doesn’t matter
What else can you do to not have the "security" unplugged issue due to the purple wire, besides tuning it out?
What year is your white truck?
