Just love the voice he gave to Lord Charles..very memorable.. Prayers for his family and friends at this sad time.. thanks for the great laughs you gave..
I always loved it that Lord Charles often called Ray Allen "A Silly Arse". The vents act is such that he's calling himself a silly arse but it's so funny that Ray Allen used the phrase so often. I still love the act and still laugh. If you can laugh and admire an act after watching it many times then it has to be great,
This guy lived down the road from me here in Reigate Surrey :) He passed away not too long ago.I had no idea he knew stan and Ollie until i saw he had passed away in our local newspaper. If i had known i'd have made conversation had i seen him about Reigate town.
I agree that Ray was the best in the business with Arthur Worsley coming a close second. If anyone out there has Ray Alan with Lord Charles' sketch where Lord Charles also is a venriloquist with a "dolly" please post it.
ray alan is probably the best ventriloquist i have ever seen.i only wish i knew when his show were on,so i could go and watch him,i wouldn`t mind meeting him too.i think one of the TV channels should rerun his shows.i don`t think i have ever seen them.
Ohhh! What about Tich and Quackers bring back Tich & Quackers.. The BBC ...why don't they show the old shows...my god it would save them a fortune Ray Alan get back on TV with Tich & Quackers
@@smudger671 thankfully j disagree with you. Ray Alan was seriously very overrated. And on occasions hid a tape in the back of Lord Charles to help pronounce certain words. Not very impressive. But Mr Spicer could do multiple voices in bottles. But he died after performing has amazing act. I just do not rate Mr Alan. Thanks for your comment.
@@darrylashton8428 Yes Dennis Spicer was very good but Ray Allen was superior.I saw Ray live late in his career and he was absolutely brilliant. Where did you get that nugget of information from about him using a concealed tape in the back of Lord Charles ?? I have never read that before in anything about Mr.Allen and I am a big fan, in fact I don't believe it is true or even possible to do without anyone knowing, utter rubbish in my humble opinion. Also Arthur Worsley was a close second to ray Allen in my book.

Stan's advice to ventriloquist Harry Worth was to give it up. He saw Harry's comedy potential and we gained the comedian Harry Worth.
RIP Ray Alan who passed away today.
ray alan is probably the best ventriloquist

Dennis Spicer was the very best. Ray Alan came second.
I have to disagree having watched some clips of Dennis Spicer. Technically Ray Alan was superior IMO.

@@darrylashton8428 Really? What proof do you have he hid a tape? I find that hard to believe.
