glad to see some love for the Blue Mask. my favorite Lou album hands down. every track is incredible, especially Underneath the Bottle, the title track, Waves of Fear and Heavenly Arms.
10:38 - I do think tho that rap tends to neglect the chorus more than other genres (rock, pop, etc), cause they focus/rely much more on the lyric-packed verses.
We can focus on more than 1 white rapper at a time, but every white rapper is subject to becoming overly hyped, loved by all for like 5 months, then a downward spiral where everyone hates them.
Tbh the posse cut take had me thinking of BH, and I get that it’s not the same as many different artists coming together for like one time and crushing it, they are (were 😢) a band. Love your energy on this one
The person talking about there Dilemma on going to a concert.
Gave me flashbacks asking my mom to let me go to BVB black veiled brides concert and her saying how she was, “concern”,…. I’m serious Black veiled brides. What happened at most was other teens and tweens wearing face paint with choppy colorful hair and glows sticks a lot of glow sticks that night.
Y'know, on the topic of good chorus/bad chorus, I really love the verses of Black Hole Sun and I think the chorus is super sluggish and boring. A couple decades of hearing it all the time on classic rock radio has made that really pent up inside me, haha
Got the same style of to-do List Anthony - if I don’t have Calendar reminders or my whiteboard marked up it will be forgotten
Let's argue: NAV will drop the first 11/10 album
glad to see some love for the Blue Mask. my favorite Lou album hands down. every track is incredible, especially Underneath the Bottle, the title track, Waves of Fear and Heavenly Arms.
10:38 - I do think tho that rap tends to neglect the chorus more than other genres (rock, pop, etc), cause they focus/rely much more on the lyric-packed verses.
Fr tho, this episode was great. I think choosing more questions and less hot takes allowed for a far better dynamic. Keep it up, melon boy
Really loving the people aspect of 8:41 - 9:46
Thank you for another great vid
We can focus on more than 1 white rapper at a time, but every white rapper is subject to becoming overly hyped, loved by all for like 5 months, then a downward spiral where everyone hates them.
My homie Sik produced that cypher track back in 2016...dope posse cut
From the title I thought this was just going to be arguing about every single white rapper one at a time.
Tbh the posse cut take had me thinking of BH, and I get that it’s not the same as many different artists coming together for like one time and crushing it, they are (were 😢) a band. But that energy, the bouncing off each other in a large group and building collective energy throughout a track, letting each other shine, very reminiscent. When I think of “posse cuts” in the late 2010’s, I think BrockHampton
Very true, the energy and chemistry they all had was one of a kind. Every track felt like a posse cut.
As a parent I think fantano is giving some solid advice to the teen here.
Fantanos the goat for teaching his followers how to talk to girls
8:41
This is some great advice melon, just one problem...
People are also scary and make me feel weird.
"1 people = girl" was the enlightenment of the day. 😇
As of May 31st,Eminem is one of the top 10 most streamed artists of 2022, despite being a 90s artist who has not released an album in 2 years. Some People keep claiming that Eminem is no longer relevant, but it's just not true at all.
Fantano feelin' a little more brain meltier than usual today
Melon seriously bringing his A game on his advice this time. The concert advice and the shit about people being people were some S tier shit.
Doolittle is a masterpiece.
