    Watched on tv and loved Patsy Cline when just a young lad. Then life took over, but every once in a while I'd think " Someday I have to revisit Patsy Cline," then Leann Rimes hit the scene touted as the next Patsy Cline. Still "Someday I have to...". Last year testing some new stereo equipment, and access to spotify etc. I finally did. You know how some things are just a big letdown? Well...words can't express the powerful impact the experience of revisiting Patsy Cline had on me. To me, she's simply the greatest vocalist of all time, all things considered.

    I had the cassette tape as a small girl, I could not sleep without it . Now I can't resist singing along. Thank you very much for sharing! This woman helped influence the woman I have grown into .

    Patsy set the bar for every female vocalist to reach, and all these years later after she has gone no one, i mean no one has come close. Pure class, and shear magic to listen to. You are missed. Thanks for the great upload.

      I beg to differ. I believe Linda Ronstadt is a very close contender.

      Introspective Wisdom Linda Ronstadt I don't think so Patsy Cline and Karen Carpenter Connie Francis are miles better then Linda Ronstadt any day of the year.

      Agreed. Let's not forget Etta James. Many have copied her, few have succeeded.

    Winchester, Virginia was never the same after that plane crashed. I remember that day of March 5, 1963 like it just happened. I was 19 and in the Navy on an aircraft carrier in the Med when we heard it on the news. One of the greatest voices EVER!!!

    For people whom been asking me how did I get the hi-fi sound outta this recording, its easy, I had the turntable hooked into my stereo like normal, then one of the tape output from the stereo hooked into my line in on my PC, video of course isnt as good cause I had a shit webcam to record it with. Actually its not even synced properly but who can tell lol. What was playing in my headphones at that time was about 2 secs before what the PC sound was putting out. Those line in's seem to have a little lagg for some reason. Maybe I didnt have the greatest sound driver installed at the time, even now a days though, my big badass PC I got now, still there's lagg through the line in.

    Well as far as I know Patsy Cline died just before she was able to make that song which was written by Bill Mack, instead someone named Kathryn Pitt sung it in 1965 I believe, where then there was 2 others that sung the song just before LeAnn Rimes made it popular. Two guys and a girl sung it back in the 60's I guess. But yeah Patsy Cline died in 1963, song wasn't sung by her unfortunately :(. The first of it was released in 1956 and was sung by Bill Mack himself, as far as I know.

    I dream of how fun it would be to have her sing the words I have written. Here's a challenge to sound engineers and programmers. How about putting together a program of all the nuances of her voice so that you can have her sing a song that the end user has written. Recorded songs as well. Perhaps throw in a choice for Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt and other dynamic female singers. A choice of duets between the female singers would be fun too. Perhaps call it: "Great Female Singers of The Twentieth Century Interactive Songs". Just a thought. I'd buy it. Hell, I thought of it!

    nice. what kind of turntable is that

    • @MrMjg81
      @MrMjg81  10 років тому

      It's a Technics Model SL-BD27. From the late 90's. Plays records just a tad bit fast but a nice turntable otherwise. No manual speeds adjusts though. Just a switch 33 and 45. Say it was about 60-80 bucks new.

  • @MrMjg81
    @MrMjg81  11 років тому

    I cant adjust the speed on that turntable, plus the needle's broken lol, cheap ass needle, I think it is playing a tad bit faster than it should, but its a fairly new turntable so I dunno why it would be doing that. I have a WAY better turntable but I wasn't using that one at that time.
