This is a good study of the human psyche. There's a fine line between affordability and desirability. Pricing the watch too low makes it undesirable and too high then people are disinterested. It's human nature. Also, making it available online as opposed to having to go into a boutique increases it's desirability. You only want more what you can't get. That's the marketing theory. Having said that I think they had the MoonSwatch at the perfect price point. Swatch got greedy with the Blancpain after the initial success of the MoonSwatch. This collab has not generated the same heat. So to generate desirabity I think they are going to make this black dial release limited or at least even more difficult to buy. Also to prevent cannabalization of sales of the other 5 FF dial variants they need to scale back production. Although they say it's not limited. They lied before they will do it again.
The in-person acquisition is part of the experience. Enjoying the watch, about one hour queue on the 11th. One per customer. Someone else had an issue with the seconds hand..
I can agree the in person requirement can be part of the experience that adds more excitement or gratification for when you get one. Seems this release was less of a buzz and most who wanted one got one. That sucks about the seconds hand defect 😢.

My first watch was a Swatch, found it, it didn't work, but I wore it lol. Had a velcro strap, best fit i ever had, surprised they aren't more popular
