Spinnaker Fleuss Limited Edition
Spinnaker Fluess watch review:
Explore the Micro Brand Offering Something for Everyone
Fleuss 40 Automatic - 145th Limited Edition
A Neo-Vintage Classic.
In celebration of the 145th anniversary of Henry Fleuss’s groundbreaking rebreather test, this Fleuss Automatic pays tribute to a rich history with a refined 40mm case size. Featuring muted, vintage-inspired colors, these timepieces blend the heritage of dive watch design with modern aesthetics and craftsmanship.
I Think of it as a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Reduced, but with a uniquely uncommon color palette that sets it apart.

Custom watch build. | Should you try one?
I got one of these for a ridiculous price, one of the best purchases I have ever made. Immediately removed the bracelet and just put the strap. The colors are amazing. I am a bit confused though, your watch's brushing looks a little bit worse than mine.
Well, now I’m curious as to how much and how. The bracelet wasn’t too, too bad. I agree, the colors are awesome for this lot. Not sure about the difference in the brushing myself. Honestly, for my personal collection, I don’t really care much about that, but as a reviewer, I have to mention everything I catch myself. Which model/colorway did you end up with? And spill the tea on how much you paid. 👀😆
@Skyler.Santana I got the brown/light blue one. I wrote how much I paid in another comment hahahaha. $210, it was very lucky. The brushing-wise mine looks a bit finer, I am not sure why, maybe the light difference. Hunting for a Fleuss 50 Phantoms now.
Ahh, I think it’s called Cerulean Blue. Nice! $210 was a steal 😵💫. Maybe it’s the lighting, or maybe because mine wasn’t numbered-it was a prototype-and they tightened up the brushing after the fact. The Fleuss 50 Phantoms is also a really cool watch. I wish you the best of luck 🤞. If you end up scoring it, send me a wrist shot on WatchCrunch 😉. I appreciate your input 🤝.
I've got a handful of Spinnaker watches and I love them all. Lots of variety. I've never paid full price, so if the pricing is off putting to you...there are lots of deals and second hand watches available.
Oh, nice! Thank you for the information! I’m sure this will also be helpful. I agree they do have a nice spread of very interesting timepieces. It’s a brand that feels like “something for everyone.” If you’re on the WatchCrunch app, send me a message on there. I would love to see your collection of them! - Santana
yeah exactly! I got my Fleuss 40 for $210 only open box, never worn.
The Fleuss is loose!
🎯
Nice looking watch! The loose safety lock and sliding strap keepers would be really annoying. The design and color combination are very appealing.
Thank you Rich! I want to be abundantly clear that I haven’t had any issues with the safety lock failing altogether or even getting caught on anything yet. I simply observed that it felt a bit loose out of the box, but I haven’t encountered any frustrating situations with it so far. However, on the rubber strap, I did experience the second keeper sliding off the adjustment strap at the 6 o’clock position, and that is definitely annoying, to say the least. That said, I absolutely love the design language and colorway of the watch and still feel that, overall, it’s a quality timepiece for the price in my opinion. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts Rich! 🙏
A comparison with a custom SANTANA! Now that's a fight I would watch 😂
lol I’ll definitely get that out there!
YOOOOOO🎉
My GUY!
i like it. there's no per 1 minute (that no one cares about) and IS summarized 5 minutes (i prefer it this way for faster think/read) , and it's symmetrical looking without being completely symmetrical so you'll never get bored looking at it.
You make a very good point John! Thanks for sharing and tuning in my friend.
Replay Squad 🎉💪🏾
🤝
I reached out to Mark after his announcement. Let's see what happens! Another great vid bro! You're killing it!
That’s awesome! Let me know what happens. He’s a really good guy. Thanks for tuning in bro I appreciate you.
👍🏾 Skyler, this was a very nice video with a lot of great suggestions for people to glean from. Those who may want to collect like you may embrace most or all of the points you lay out while others may gravitate towards one or two or maybe just a few. 🤔 I think the trap sometimes (in any "hobby" area) is when it begins to get too prescriptive. You know: "you're not a true collector until ..." As an "enthusiast," I love watches and pens and going to shows or community groups and talking about them. But I feel the same way about classic movies, jazz music, and art. In all of them its wonderful not to have to fit in a prescribed mold or accepted pattern to enjoy being an enthusiast. In the end, pursue and purchase the watches you really love and want ... and wear them. 🫡
I couldn’t have said it better myself, John! I always try my best to have awareness of my beliefs and values as I share them on my channel. I want to remain positive and respectful of opposing views while still having a point to make and a definitive stance-all of which could change over time with more knowledge and experience, of course. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and look forward to chatting with you in the future.
Great live, well put skyler! 🙌
Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it! 👍
Support Mr.Santana!!! Watch Cruncher here!!!

Do that unboxing right MEOW! 😂
If you name the movie where that is from I would be impressed! 🤣
@@Skyler.Santana Easy! Super Troopers! Now go watch Beerfest! You can thank me later 😁
@ 🤣🫡
That strap is crazy. Perfect color combo!
Right?!! It’s one the money bro I’m so hyped so do a review video of it. And rock out with it. They both happen to come at the same time without planing it! Craziness
@Skyler.Santana I'm really feeling that combination bro!
🤝
So it sounds like this isn't just an off the shelf setup. Those details definitely matter when choosing what goes on the wrist.
Yes sir That has to mean something, at least In my book it does. But I know there are plenty of collectors that value mostly the movement which I can respect as well at days end. I guess that’s what makes all of this interesting to begin with. Always appreciate your support my guy. 🤝
You and this "supple" business 😂😂😂😂
My saying supple is like you busting out the Micky mouse pointer hand during your live. It gets me every time 🤣
@Skyler.Santana 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Play it back
Thank you for tuning in Trapflix
This is a nice looking piece. I own 1 True vintage Hamilton, but this could definitely add to the collection.
I have to agree with you Eric! It’s nice to hear that you’re attracted to this time piece after owning a true vintage watch. Which Vintage Hammy do you own?
@Skyler.Santana , it is a 1949 Hamilton "Eric ". When I saw the name I HAD to have it!. I am wearing it in profile pic.
@ haha makes sense! That’s an awesome square shape vintage watch brother, congrats
Take a shot every time you say Cesium
🤣 Yea I fumbled the ball a little in that part haha
I'm late 😪
Better late than never 😉
Great review.
Thanks Neil 🤝
Great review! Great watch!
@rodriguezg23 much appreciated 🤝
Thanks Skyler great review
@@johnliley pleasure was all mine John 🤝
Excellent review!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Very nice dial!
It’s a real looker, isn’t it? 👌
Excellent presentation!...
You broke it down sir. Great presentation 👏
Appreciate that! I tried to get all the key details in 👍
Love the way they have retained the vintage design with modern elements on this one
It really does have a nice mix of classic and contemporary style, doesn't it? 👌
Thanks Skyler, I really like this one. However I would rather go for the silver case/blue dial.
The pleasure is all mine. You, sir, have been an amazing support to this channel since the first cringe-worthy videos. Thank you for believing in me, bro, for real. Of course, man, if you prefer that, then I’m all for it. Cheers! 🍻
Here we go with the encouragement 😂

🏆
This watch is the love-child of Grand Seiko and Rolex. I love it.
🤣 love the way you said that! Cheers 🍻
Keep up the good work,sir
Absolutely, i appreciate you 🤝.
This watch looks very similar to my Omega Seamaster Aqua terra which makes me smile every time I put it on my wrist. The question I’d be asking myself repeatedly is do I really need a homage with a sparkly dial especially if I have to pay a fairly high microbrand price of $795 and would it give me the same pleasure and a sufficient incentive to go get myself ‘just one more watch’?
The watch was purposely built to pay homage to more expensive luxury brands, so I can understand any hesitation to buy one if you already own a piece it heavily resembles. That said, the watch isn’t $795-it costs $499 for the aventurine model, and some models are priced at $450. For what they’ve put into the timepiece, I think it’s well worth it if your collection could benefit from this design language-just my opinion, of course. Thanks for stopping by the channel, my friend!
Can you swap out the chapter ring?
I do believe that the removal of the chapter ring is very possible. It should be simply sitting in place and can be removed once the bezel and crystal portion are taken off from the case itself. Namoki offers four different colorways for the chapter ring to choose from, but I don’t think it can be purchased separately. Hope this helps, and thanks for watching! www.namokimods.com/collections/all-cases/products/nmk951-alpine-tool-case-steel-finish?variant=44200562098351
I like it without the logo and with the glass case back so I can see the 24 jewel automatic move back. I do believe the movement is Seiko snd you can't beat that! Overall I'm very impressed, but it could use a rotating bezel!
Sounds like you’ve got a solid appreciation for the finer details! A exhibition case back to admire the 24-jewel automatic movement is always a win, especially with a reliable Seiko movement inside. You really can’t go wrong there! I agree, a rotating bezel would be a fantastic addition to take it up a notch. Glad to hear you’re impressed overall! Thanks for stopping by Turkey 🤝
On my left, an Omega Seamaster 300 Professional. On my right, a Garmin 7 Pro Sapphire Solar. The Garmin was all I needed. However, I admired the Omega for a long time. The Omega is my own present/reward. I bought the Garmin on January 2024. I bought the Omega on December 2024. I tend to hide that I wear 2 watches. I wear the Garmin to go to the gym, to go out at nights, and to sleep. The Omega is for day time. I like both.
Thanks for sharing your story! That’s a great pair of watches-practicality meets luxury. The Garmin is perfect for those active moments, while the Seamaster is a timeless reward for yourself. Nothing wrong with wearing two watches; it’s all about what works for you! It sounds like you’ve found a nice balance between function and style. Enjoy them both 🍻
@Skyler.Santana Cheers!
Great points! Great video. I'm a vintage collector , so your right when say buy the seller.
Thank you Johnny! You’re too kind. Yes sir, buy the seller is all I mostly hear from people I know that actually collect vintage. That and do your research Cheers.
Love it
No applied indices, doesn't look the best finishing wise. Doesn't float my boat but not a bad first stab from Zezame. Berny watches leave this one well behind for value and quality of finish at the moment.
@@Megavector2022 Thanks for stopping by the channel and sharing your thoughts! I totally get where you’re coming from-applied indices and finishing can make a big difference in how a watch resonates. Zezame’s first attempt may not be perfect, but it’s an interesting start, and I’m curious to see how they evolve. I definitely would like to check out a Berny one day to see the comparison that you speak of. I Appreciate your perspective-hope to see you in the comments again!
@@Skyler.Santana Hi Skyler, thanks for your reply! I've got a Berny diver arriving shortly, it's in transit from Berny in China to the UK. Berny AM134M, white dial, HKPT PT5000 28,800 bph movement, C3 luminova, applied indices, Sapphire etc. I'll let you know what I think when it arrives!
@@Megavector2022 nice! Especially the PT5000 Mvt! I think that movement is under rated and should be talked about and utilized more for affordable watches. Definitely keep me posted and send me photos on WatchCrunch if you have an account on that platform. 🤝
@@Skyler.Santana I don't currently have an account on WatchCrunch, but I could set one up! 😊
@@Skyler.Santana Thanks. I don't have an account on WatchCrunch currently, but could set one up 🙂
Good marketing, wish you luck
Thanks! 🙏
Exquisite take.
I was actually looking for my daughter as a Christmas gift…she’s 26!🤣 I then saw the bundle deal & got the Fuchsia for my daughter & the grey for myself! Btw, my daughter actually loves it & I explained the story behind it, the number offset & the “Blok” references for timing. I have a vast collection of watches including Omega Speedy, vintage Rolex, Breitling, & Casios by the tonne!😂 But I love watches with character & a little quirky! This fits right in.👍🏼😎🇦🇺
Hey Andrew! Aww man, such a cool story-thanks for sharing this with me. I love how you view watches and your enthusiasm for timepieces, regardless of category or style. I’m the same way! I hope to one day be able to afford watches with a long brand history and prestige, but I’m in no rush. I’m having tons of fun with the wide range of watches in my collection right now, and any future purchase has to make sense for me personally. Thanks for watching and sharing, my friend! 🤝
