Nice brochure, never seen a Ford Firefly trim line here in Finland, but interesting anyway. Cool music at the end, especially when played with 2x speed :)
Nice looking car and probably better value than the 1.1 S . A lot better equipped than the Capri calypso which was basically the base model with a stripe on it I think a passenger door mirror was an optional extra on a ford Cortina Ghia in 1980
When I was 21 (1988) I had saved enough money from my wages to buy a Ford Fiesta Firefly new from Westwood & Clark Motors in Clacton. Reg F810 0RT. I had it 17 years and absolutely loved it. Sadly I had to part with it when it got too costly to keep on the road. By then I had a child and bills to pay so it got sold. Over the years I have tried to track it down in the hope it hasn’t been scrapped and buy it back. The Firefly was such a brilliant 80’s car.
Basic but good value. I'd have the optional appearance pack at £100 to get the benefit of a better triple band MW / LW / FM radio, as reception is better on VHF, and you don't get fading, whistling and European foreign radio station bleedover at night, that you got on MW.
Hmm I’m not exactly sure what the tax is made up of. It does say in small print that these prices DO NOT include the cost of number plates or delivery charge.
Good value when I first started selling Fiesta 950 popular in March 1980 for 2995.

Yes I keep experimenting with the music and endings - in a not really sure I know what I’m doing sort of way lol

Lovely and we will be covering the later Mk2 Firefly soon
I have heard of the Firefly limited edition but I had no clue whatsoever what spec is was based on. I do like the colour coded wheels.

I remember the Firefly mk2 Fiesta, essentially a Rosso red 1.1 ghia, I don't know what changes over the ghia model it had though?
What would be the wheel colour on the silver version,
I’m assuming silver so you probably didn’t know you had it
Car tax, Was that the first registration fee at the time? Also applied to the option pack though.
