    Most of the ones I remember seeing had the old style rear lights. I guess the Talbot Samba became a lot more popular in the UK in the 80s because it looked a bit more modern than the Peugeot and Citroen.

    The Dyane, Visa, and of course, 2CV are ingrained in my memory. However, before seeing your video, the LNA was kind of forgotten. I am sure that most customers would have opted for the Peugeot original. Love the basic interior, and sure wish that we could get simple small cars like these today.

    Ah yes I remember the LNA, although they weren't all that common in the UK. The Talbot Samba was another model from around that time, which also appeared to be based on the 104.

    I can remember very well when the LN has been introduced. I saw it those days first on a summer holliday in Italy at the Lago di Garda. Some young people drove it quickly through the City of Salo. In Germany I saw the first advertisement in some magazines. In Italy I saw it the first time driving. It was in a nice dark bluemetallic colour. I wondered about the typical 2CV-sound. The first versions, I think from 1976, had the 650 cc-engines of the Dyane with 32 HP. Like the 2CV you could see the rotating fan for the aircooling behind the frontgrill. The LNA was an improved version of the LN. It got the 652cc aircooled engine from the Visa with 34 HP and the watercooled 4-cylinder engine from Peugeot. It seems in Britain there was no 652cc engine available. In Germany people said, that the LN/LNA, especially the small aircooled 2-cylinder, was a typical Ladie's car😊. But really practical and made for the town. Thank you for showing this interesting video, especially about those underdogs.

    It was basically a rehash of the Peugeot 104 3;door model using the three door chassis.
    Citroen's first three door hatch since it's recent seventies merger in PSA Groupe.

    According to the car magazines I used to read, the LNA was on sale in the UK up to 1986. Of course this and the Visa were replaced by the AX that arrived in 1987.

    I have always liked the Citroen version of the PSA cars over the Peugeot versions. Same with this, the LNA being a rebadged Peugeot 104 3 door. If I was looking for a small economical hatchback in the late 70s I would have considered one of these for sure, The British offering at the time? The Maxi? Was that about it? Not really a small car though was it? The Vauxhall Chevette hatch? Or of course the Ford Fiesta. Im sure the ride on the LNA would have been really soft and a nice comfy ride compared to the others which may have made me choose it overall. Nice video and good to see the French version of the brochure too

    Thanks for the brilliant broucher review. I don't remember seeing many of these in the UK, but the example's i did see were usually low spec model's. I'd prefer the Citroen version over the Peugeot, but feel these LN/ LNA's/ lack the usual Citroen quirkyness" and may of been regarded at the time as being not Citroen enough" as I've heard something similar from current, Citroen owners of that period, on the classic car scene who prefer the other Citroen car's Of that era.

    My sister's first car was the Talbot version (their's was named Samba). Sadly, it was not the truly aspirational Cabriolet version.

    I don't think these were sold in Australia. I've only ever seen them on UA-cam videos. I do remember that Citroën had no choice but to use the Peugeot 104 as the basis for the LNA, because they didn't have sufficient funds to be able to develop their own small car.

    Useless bit of trivia,but I believe the tunnel shot was photographed in the Blackwall tunnel,London.

    The Japanese car in the tunnel could be a Datsun Laurel 🤔
