🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but currently call Vietnam home. I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

Hi everybody!
I'm Nguyen, the translator in this ep. Thank you for your compliments for the unique insect cuisine of the Black Thai people in Son La, Vietnam.
In fact, I’m not black Thai, I just work with the people of this ethnic minority. But trust me, their food is awesome 👌
Stay tuned for the next video to discover the best food ever!
It was certainly an interesting episode 😊

there are so many shows out there that try to make foreign countries and ways of living alienated from the rest of the world. Like its some wild and bizarre thing for people to live their lives differently and its so disrespectful. What I love about these two is that even though they come from a completely different background, they have respect and appreciate all the diversity in this world. Even if its somethings as simple as trying new food.
lol why is it disrespectful to be in awe of what we might think is bizarre. It doesn't mean you are being offensive to their culture. I swear you younger generations are such weak people. Your level of stupid would never survive in these places and it is sad that the West has allowed stupid to procreate for so long.

Also eating bugs IS gross but to say that's being disrespectful is just you being a weak child which is literally what I said from the beginning. So I have explained this quite thoroughly and the only one getting upset is you.

@@KrunchTastic ya bro but we indians considers nature as our mother as respect
You might find it crazy
But we do this so that our younger generations become kind and sincere towards the sources of nature
In hindu dharma
We consider food as a god
Water as a god
And everyting in nature who belongs to us is a god
Even we own are god
There is no one who created us
We are created by us own
If you would born in a forest then tell me how you would know
That you are alive
Or what is death
What we are today is the reason of our karma (deeds)
Jesus and Lord krishna also said this
That your deeds are the god what are leading you to achievements
Go to church or temple or wherever you wanna go
If you don't want to be happy no one could make you happy
And if you even go to graveyard and there you feel happy and motivated
Then believe my boy
One day the graveyard gonna do the same as church or temple

@@olivebudolivethis can’t be true. Nothing can be the cause of itself; everything must be caused by something else. Even if you believe in a creator deity it had to have created nature, and so could not also be that which it supposedly created.
Anyhow, ‘nature’ is more than just plants, trees and flowers (etc). It is all things, the processes of all life. One such process is human creativity, and one such act of creativity is the use of chemicals and preservatives in food. We are not distinct from nature. Nature is the deforestation as much as it is the forest, the can of Mountain Dew as much as it is water.
