Great job on planting the new tree. Unfortunately, there will always be those that do not respect nature. But, whenever, wherever we can, we should always do our part in correcting their actions. We owe it to nature. All the best to you and yours.

Alot of people are definitely oblivious to their negative impact on their surroundings due to their negligence. If there were more people like you, the world would be a far better place!

Mother Nature knows that you made a valiant effort to heal one of her many wounds that humans inflicted, often without ANY concerns for Her. She knows, Jeep. Bless you, Brother.

    Hallo jeep.
You are an angel, a nature spirit like Pan. I have loved your channel, your art and your videos for so many years and I say thank you on behalf of everyone who loves nature. My heart hurts and screams and bleeds with every tree or even branch that was cut while still alive. I'm so glad that there are still people like you. thank you for being like that. Kind regards from Vienna from a long-time user of your hammok chair. Michael

It seems to be getting worse every year here in Eastern Ontario. I’ve been to a few lakes the last couple weeks and I found new fire pits near the water and several live trees cut just like you did at your lake. And of course lots of debris and garbage around those areas too. Without a doubt ice fishermen are to blame for what I found. I’ve returned to those lakes and cleaned up the mess. I just hope I don’t need to do that again this year. Thanks for sharing.

Hello from Southeast New Brunswick... nice to see a new video, only wish it were under better circumstances.. Thought you'd like to know, i've owned your camp chair/bed product for several years now, and has become one of the quintessential pieces of gear in my pack... what an amazing product.. thanks for putting them together and offering them to the public.. hope the little cedar does well...seeing how exposed it is, a good 4 inch layer of forest debris mulch would definitely be something i'd add around it.. just not against the trunk... cheers

The weather doesn't care about technology. No matter what you say or do, there will always be jerks who tear the place up and then leave a bunch of garbage. You are correct in everything you say. I used to restock my own hunting grounds. It's a wise idea to replenish the places and resources that we use. Hey I think we should have a contest to name the little tree. And if you wanted to have a fund going for this project and others like it, I would be willing to join in and donate. We could call it Project Ding Dong... LOL

The effort and sentiment are commendable. Sadly one or 2 missing trees from that campsite make very little difference as it is already damaged beyond repair. Extremely trodden, completely picked clean of all carpet vegetation, and likely all fuel for a wide radius around it.
Surely it is important to do our best to respect these spaces, but the heavy traffic spaces all inevitably end up exactly this way. Natural spaces do not maintain their wildness when they become highways for 3-4 months per year.

Well done Jeep and I hope that cedar takes to her new stop. I've never understood the unnecessary destruction of natural areas especially by those who "like" to go to them.

Cutting down live trees for a fire. 😳 Unreal. I can see why this prompted you to try and ameliorate the damage.

You know it makes me so angry and so hurt to see the kind of carelessness and destruction that goes on in the bush, especially there.
I’m starting to think that maybe you need to find another spot.
I think you need to find some crownland that isn’t a crown camping spot…a place that you can go to that you know no one else is likely to find or go to.
Another body of water in the area or a different area altogether.
I just feel that you’re experiencing far too much Sorrow by going to that place having to deal with the same thing season after season, year after year . Because unfortunately, as we both know it’s only going get worse it’s not going to get better because there’s no one there to enforce anything.
I would find it hard to believe if you told me that you’re getting any kind of employment at this point. How could you?! How could any caring person feel renewed when every time they go to place like that and see the damage that you’re seeing? Still find some spiritual and enlightenment.
You can’t tell me you leave that place and not worry that you’re gonna come back to something different or worse but not better.
And you know there’s nothing you can do unless youcamp there 24 seven 365. I think it’s time to find a new place.
I still remember that time you did all that work to try and prevent damage being done and the people who are supposed to take care of that place undid it all!
how can you make any progress that way?
    How can you find peace?
I wouldn’t want you to look at it as giving up, but perhaps moving on.
Just my thoughts and feelings, of course, buddy.
I wish I could help you make it better, brother❤❤❤
    Be well
    Craig

I applaud your efforts my friend. Truly. But I think it’s a losing battle. Clearly the people in that area are disrespectful louts they are uncaring waste of breath.
But it never ceases to amaze me how hard you fight that area and I really wish you could make some gains.
Like you said…. Dodos. They’re not going anywhere and you just can’t be out there often enough to reverse the damage they’re doing.
Seem like I am pushing and fighting for you to give up on that but I think at this point it’s more about you finding peace and contentment somewhere else instead of anger and frustration. Surely that’s not what those trips are supposed to be about?
I hope my comments are coming across the right way…this is truly about me caring about you and yourpeace and happiness

i have often found the worst offenders in terms of trash and destruction are ..... drum roll ..... fishermen, which i find really odd, as you would think they would be the most respectful,
2nd worst offenders are mountain bikers, but least their damage and trash is confined to tracks and paths.

4 to 500 dollars,?^ those were mature trees , they would be having to do a whole lot of overtime to fix the damage.. We have to accept that, this world has a lot of flakes in it..

Why not go back into a near by cedar swamp and select a couple or three trees and dig them up for the project? It seems you tried to make this more expensive to prove the point. Similar or better results could have been had with the native transplant trees. Maybe taller and more to block the view. I did catch you had a bad experience with another transplant, but cedar are rater resilient and easily transplant.

Taking a live tree from another area isn’t the answer even if it’s a swamp area. Thats like cutting down a live tree.

you should buy those hunting trail cams to see who does this . ( what a nerd ) cutting trees that close to a waters edge is forbidden by law . you need a stupid person to do this
