Yes who knew I thought they had long gone although turns out there are still 62 of them around. Kings Lynn is well worth a visit we were intending to go on to the Castle afterwards but ended up spending all day in KL so will have to do castle next time. Best wishes 👍
We enjoy wandering in Kings Lynn and often pause here if heading to the North Norfolk Coast. Those narrow lanes near the waterfront and their historic buildings are really fascinating. Murky old day but still interesting. Have a great week.

Hi Dave & Dawn this was lovely what a gorgeous area we have never been to Norfolk so thanks for showing us! Oh wow it has a Wimpy, one of our favourite eateries growing up but they closed them all down up north, nice to see some are still open! The architecture is fabulous! Glad the rain didn’t stop you. Great shots, no people looks very quiet! Lovely church and gardens ooo a mini castle on a hill! Fabulous! 👍❤

Happy Independence Day! I've visited Norfolk a couple of times - but never visited King's Lynn, sadly. "Trinity Guildhall": I love the square-stone pattern! "Minster": Imposing! "Hampton Court": 'Wot(!) - not even a mini-maze??!' 😲However... the residents have tried to compensate for not having any front gardens to speak of. 1:18-1:31: Quite the most original seat I've ever seen! Did you have to book to sit on it, Dawn? (Sorry!) 1:51-1:55: I wonder who the artist was...? "Captain George Vancouver": I haven't looked it up - and my Canadian history is a little rusty - but I'm wondering if Vancouver was named after him...? (Seems logical - but I'll check it out at the end of your video.) "St. George's Guildhall": Thanks for filming both inside and out. "Ferry Lane": That blue building is a bit of a contrast, isn't it? St. Nicholas' Chapel: Good floral arrangement outside to complement the building. 4:10-4:14: What's the story behind the boat? "Pilot Street": Couldn't spot anything outstanding... "The Walks": A pleasant way to round-off your visit - ending with a more conventional seat! Overall impression: So clean and tidy! No litter; no weeds growing between any cracks/edges of houses or roads. (Unlike my street, sad to say!)
Hi Phil yes Kings Lynn is a fascinating place with such a history and another one of the important places on the east coast that used to be very prosperous. Pilot Street refers we believe to the pilots that used to take the boats up to the port. That area was part of the fishing and port area.
