    For anyone curious about the noodles they're called fresh pulled noodles or shanxi planed or shanxi fresh noodles. They are Oriental fettuccine noodles and you can get them in the Asian markets !!!! Really good 😅

      I literally hate these noodles. I know some people like it, but I grow up with handmade noodle and this to me just has this weird texture. The sauce looks fine, but change to fresh noodles in Asian grocery would make a huge difference.

      @@sunhannah2937 very few places in the world besides Asia have fresh/homemade noodles for sale. So we gotta stick to store-bought ones:/ making them at home everytime sounds time consuming

    Black vinegar: Mix 1 part balsamic, 1 part rice wine vinegar and 3 parts water. Avoid syrupy or sweet balsamic. Can also sub rice vinegar. Recipe link in description. Leave out chili oil and or chili flakes if stomach is sensitive.

    If you wanna make a butter sauce version, I'd recommend this!
    On a hot pan put your butter, add as much soy sauce as you want. Let it heat up so you get that smokey flavour. Then I added the pepper flakes, garlic, and vinegar. I liked adding roasted coriander (cilantro) and sesame seeds at the end.
    Your noodles don't really matter, but I found chow mein noodles to have a good springyness to it.
    I like butter sauces better because they don't require really hot oil, but it's all up to you on your flavour profile 🥰🥰

    Can you try my dad's recipe?
    First:
    2 spoon soy sauce
    1 spoon oyster sauce
    1 spoon of lard or any oil from frozen dishes
    1 spoon sesame oil
    Some chili oil
    2 dash of pepper
    Very very tiny bit of msg
    1 spoon dark sauce
    I clove garlic
    And then you just add ur cooked noodles

      My Mexican twist is dried Chile piquine and lime juice . Soy sauce and sesame oil.
      Garlic and pepper corns smashed in a molcajete.

      @@areebah8297 No, málà is a type of seasoning that features Sichuan peppercorns and chilli (in whatever form). "Má" refers to the numbing sensation you get from the peppercorns; "là" refers to the spiciness of chilli; together they are málà

    Try adding freshly ground Szechuan pepper before you pour in the hot oil.
    Personally I prefer a good Aceto Balsamico over Chinese black vinegar in my dishes, but to each his own.

    I made this, and it was pretty good. I took her advice and customized it by adding a little sugar, curry powder, and instead of just seame seed. I used rice seasoning, which has seame seed and seaweed.

    My friend made this for me. She did the pull version and it was the best meal I've ever had my entire life. I have now made it my goal to replicate them. I haven't tried the pull yet but I've made them like 15 times and they're an incredible workout to as well.

    Is the homemade chili oil separate from the hot oil you poured in, or did you just heat the homemade chili oil? If the hot oil is separate, what kind of oil do you use?

      I think it's separate. And the boiling oil is probably any flavorless oil like canola or vegetable oil or palm oil.

      The homemade chili oil is the chunky stuff, the end is just your regular cooking oil heated until it's hot enough to fry.

      they are called "hand cut noodles"! You can usually find them in the International isle of your grocery store :)

    I never learned anything about Asian cooking but I rushed out to the local Asian grocery store and got the ingredients. I made this recipe. It was AMAZING. But not cheap. I spent over $30 (US). There's still plenty of sesame oil and black vinegar in the bottles so I can make it again, but it's still not cheap.

      Depends on the bottle size you bought. These ingredients definitely is staple in cooking so if you got the "western" size, it's not budget friendly.

    Does your recipe actually mean 3 tablespoons of black vinegar or is that a typo? I made it a few weeks ago and was shocked that it said 3 tablespoons. I was excited to make this recipe, but had to throw it away because there was just way too much vinegar.

      She makes her own chili oil but it's very easy and simple to do. You should try making your own it's so good and you can add it as a finishing oil to a lot of Asian dishes!

      they are called "hand cut noodles"! you can find them at T&T, Sungiven, or most asian grocery stores 🥰

      Or you can also use shanxi planed or shanxi fresh noodles; they're basically the same thing! They are Oriental fettuccine noodles and you can get them in the Asian markets !!!! Really good 😅

    Just made this now for lunch , it was so bad , it was just bitter and spicy at the same time and all I tasted was cucumbers. It was so bad I gave it to a dog to eat. Just wayy too bland for me .
