These delightfully imaginative ideas made me smile! What if, indeed, borders were designed as places where different cultures meet and mix. Like, shopping malls and various public places. Instead, they're often desolate places with very little infrastructure. I think there's a missed business opportunity right there. :)

He rightly explain why walls work. Look around you...everything we have is almost medieval. Should we throw them away? Chairs...they work. Buttons for our clothes and even cloths in general are medieval. Spoons and folks we eat with. Roads are medieval. America is a country. Mexico is a country. Just like company's have walls..you don't get to walk in and start working. There's a process. Follow it. Don't cheat the system.

The number of comments here by people who think a 30 foot tall wall will be built across 2,000 miles of desert and mountains, when no progress has been made halfway through this term, is absurd. The Berlin Wall was continuously worked on for decades until the day it was torn down, and had to be perpetually staffed. It was 11 feet high and 60 miles long. It's a shame so many Americans have lost any and all connection to reality.
