- After taking the train from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Penang, we spent out very first day in the vibrant town of George Town and quickly fell in love with this bustling town!
We enjoyed searching for brilliant street art which was at every turn before visiting some of George Towns many beautiful Temples. Beaten by the humidity, we wolfed down refreshments from a street vendor before finishing our day at the world Heritage site of George Town, Penang.
Nice place my friend 😊
Penang my home town...
I see the plastic bag cup on a string hasn't changed much in 50 years.

An elderly lady living there (we interviewed her for a school report) said it is called love lane because there used to be brothels there (pre war). Other theories include it is where businessmen once kept their mistresses or it is named after a British officer named Love that was once posted in Georgetown.
Great pacing. I really enjoyed the video. You captured George Town perfectly.
Thank you 😊
Hi! May I know which chinese temple was in the clip when you said same of them are free to go in?. The one with the altar display
Hi Amber it is Choo Chay Keong temple. Thanks for watching and Happy Holidays
👍💖
💪💪💪
In case you're wondering where Love Lane got it's name - many years before, room services were then established along that road. Later years, as the Chinese and the Peranakans moved in, some businessmen kept their mistresses along the lane which is a known during it's time. But it has changed alot since then and now it's well known for bars and mini hotels stay for tourists.
Hi Mark! That’s really interesting, we had no idea! Thanks for sharing with us 😀
