@MacroBioBoi what's the reason that you don't want to do this with Lidless Wall? I used your MaxRoll build initially, but like you said, it felt way too squishy. I was lucky enough to find a GA Lidless Wall and decided to try it with shielding storm and it works like a charm. The fact that it has + Bone skills is a huge plus and makes up for the lack of +resource IMO, and it rolls with CD reduction. "Downside" is that I'm hugely overcapped on armor (14k), but that seems like an easy weighoff for so much more survivability and not a ton less damage.
Thanks to your videos I am really working on learning the build. I havent played since launch so leveling up and learning this build has been interesting to say the least. I am only 95 currently but am feeling more confident as I play it, going to add in the bone storm because survivability has definitely been an issue without the mythic unique to fill that void
Nice fix for the build i was struggling on even lower tiers of infernal hordes. One thing its worth to mention, doing high tier of hordes is one thing doing it efficently for great rewards is another. But i think the latter comes from playing in well coordinated group so i hope the blizz will even push this idea further to reward teamplay over SSF
This buid is still sort of an enigma to me still, but it definitely delivers the punch, no doubt about it. You have excellent life in the 50-60k depending on optimization. You will even hit for 2-3 Billion. HOWEVER, he does point to it, BUT it needs more emphasis...you have to have everything clicking together in synchronization to some extent. I built this as soon as he had it up...essence is obviously key. You CANNOT stand still, especially in T7 hordes. You will get melted. I still sometimes get 1 shot even with everything clicking. One key thing to remember is make sure you do not forget about your minions...keep them up or spawn immediately if they die. When they produce a corpse, you get fortified and you need every bit of defense you can get. ALSO, and this is pretty big, this build doesn't speed farm. In T7s I will survive but only pull 150-250 aether. Some may do better but i can't see 400+ unless you have an ungodly build.
My go to infernal horde build utilizes the blood artisans cuirass unique+the corpse tendrils upgrade that gives enemies a chance to spawn blood orbs when I yoink them. It's been incredibly reliable so far. I don't really have a problem with dying because most things don't live long enough to hit me. That said, my build is really only good solo, and sharply falls off in places like helltide where other players will make it difficult for me to actually have enemies to hit and do my damage rotation.
I've realized the cd dropping when using decrep, but i thought it was from the abhorrent upgrade, good to know that we should spam it instead. Thanks for the more chill and tanky version, will definitely change to it.
You’re a genius for figuring all this out and extremely good at explaining it. In a perfect world you’d be a sorceress main so I could get guides like this on my favorite class. I’ll settle for you making Necromancer my second favorite though.
cant lie I've played necro in the past but never pushed past the leveling phase with the class. this season I've been completely enveloped with this build and how involved it is, I really don't understand the people claiming bone spirit is boring.... holding right click to win the game is boring.
Not to sound bitter, and I can appreciate having some temporary cursory notes before there's time for a full revision, but the Maxroll guide uses some misleading language on this. I was left with the impression that the Blood Mist version with Grasping Veins on the weapon was the primary preferred version for most endgame areas and that the switch back to Bone Storm was a specialized niche version that was only necessary for the very highest tiers of Infernal Hordes. I was seeing phrases like, "doesn't translate well to other areas" and "EXTREMELY focused endgame gear." And so, not having any mythic uniques or awesome greater affixes, I assumed that I'd better stick with Blood Mist. After grinding the highest Pit level I was comfortable running (80) in order to masterwork my gear and still failing to clear a single T6 Infernal Hordes (came close, even took down 2 out of 3 council members a couple of times), I happened to watch this video. I swapped some skill points and aspects on my gear, then tried Bone Storm. It was SO MUCH better. T6 Infernal Hordes was a piece of cake. Blitzed through the Pit so easily I couldn't believe it. My necromancer feels powerful again! After I've had some time to enjoy this, I'll dare to try a T7. Maybe even take on Tormented bosses? Not yet. I'm not ready for a reality check just yet. So yeah, I am grateful for the video. And I don't just want to whine about the Maxroll guide because I'm cognizant of the fact that there are probably a lot of considerations going on for when the Maxroll guide gets a full revision. But it would have been nice to have some kind of note in there to point us casual scrubs who are bad at the game in the right direction, kind of like this video did.
I'm glad the horde build is working for you on other content. I can take that note into consideration. I don't believe it's necessary for other content, and a personal experience doesn't degine a failure point of a product made for a different thing, but the insight is valuable.
@@MacroBioBoi Yeah, I don't think it's a failure point. And differences in playstyle and experience are bound to cast a whole spectrum when it comes to which specific build someone prefers for which content. Another issue in my case might be that getting gear to have sufficient crit chance and attack speed left me sacrificing too much CDR, which compromised my Blood Mist uptime. If the tanky Bone Storm version is less sensitive to that, then I might have just assumed it to be better once I tried it, even though failing to prioritize CDR is my own fault in the first place. Also, a player who is more confident of which mechanics are deadly (and how to avoid them) might navigate better against elites and bosses in the Pit than I have, which would make the tankiness from Bone Storm less relevant than it is for me. I found myself slowing down and approaching fights with caution with the Blood Mist version, where the massive barrier on the Bone Storm version made it easy to get in everyone's face and spam Bone Spirit to kill them faster. Someone who is comfortable using more timing, evasion, and precision to blast through with a glass cannon build might find Bone Storm superfluous in the Pit, for all I know. The real crux of my comment was that (until I watched this video) I had the misapprehension that the tanky Bone Storm version NEEDED Shako and possibly a second mythic unique too. So I wrote it off as an option that I was locked out of (haven't tried Tormented Bosses this season at all, but I had a rough time against them with Infinimist in Season 4). Seeing Shielding Storm on the helmet and Osseous Gale on the weapon was a light bulb moment for me. And I thought, "Well, I wish the guide would have presented it that way." Not sure if anyone else even had that misunderstanding besides me! But I do appreciate that you've taken note of it.
If I may, the new curse aura aspect actually works VERY WELL and doesn’t require either curse on your bar. This means we can run mist with corpse explosion blood mist aspect. Every time an enemy enters the aura, you get spirit and whenever they die your cooldowns…ALL OF THEM go down insanely fast.
@@TheRealSmallville To be honest, I’m not entirely sure yet. Potentially replace one of the uniques with it until gaining the unique? I’ve messed with the aspect a bit and only just realized before needing to go to work that it applies everything from both curses…only thing left to test is if it applies it regardless of ranks in those actual skills
@@Orthus100 I understand, I was merely trying to point out that there is a way for more survivability with Blood Mist being accessible, potentially saving some perk points and getting a permanent source of spirit gain/cooldown reduction just by being near enemies and having bonestorm/corpse explosion constantly going off. @@The_Heartless88 I had to try it out just to see the difference, but unfortunately I couldn't get it to trigger the cooldowns as fast as I can when spamming Decertify. Great idea though, since I'm not a fan of the spamming technique.
Thanks for the video! I've been looking for a tanker version of Bone Spirit. Just one question. You use the exact same paragon board for this version of the build right? It that still the optimal version or would you tweak it in any way?

It's tanky, but utterly inneficient..., A tier 7 with 9 waves means that you practically just hid in the corner and hoped your reapers didn't pick a fight. 7 Also, let's be fair... Tank necro dies in t7, speed farming andariels rogue stands still in t8 and clears the thing in 15 min. With mythic uniques obtainable in the first few days of playing is this really a fair game anymore :) ¿
I just want a decent chill necro minion like last season. No way I am doing this build with a controller lol. Liked anyways because Your work is awesome.
Bone Spirit is agressively mediochre at hordes. It is a burst nuker made for bossing and you should just have a necromancer alt who is the speedfarmer which will do this with twice the competence. Dont waste time on attempting to be ok at something the build isnt for.
I'm not fucking enjoying this at all. 40k life, armor capped, resistance capped. Im geetting deleted by level 71 pit trash during bone storm. pretty much literally 1 shot
Lmao 1bil damage from a single shot, which can easily mop pit 100 with that damage output. As for Res , armor cap is a must in NMD 100, not unusual in pits 😂
This build is clunky as hell, hard to gear up and slow too. yes it can crit for lots but watching the bone spirit slowly goin g to target is boring! Bring back fast paced necro with 100M crits
My least favorite necromancer build - no hp, no defense, no mist, useless in combat stats such as essence and essence per sec, too glassy, just one big boom in a few seconds, meh
What's the desired outcome of the question? If I have some kind of syndrome or disease, you feel bad. If it's just when I lock in on controller I move, you learn that. Whenever curiosity rears its head, I'm reminded that often, people don't like for their tics or issues to be called out, and it makes me feel bad when I need to respond "Ohh sorry, I was just curious".

why does it look like you are having a seizer when you play. Is that you're camera?
Wow, it's called bobbing your leg up and down. Thanks boss.
Can you please relay to Raxx how to properly pronounce Shako?
If he asks, i'll say it. Im not one for demanding "proper" pronunciations.
I WANT loadouts. Says tanky yet he is getting hammered
This video is from over a year ago. They was tanky for Necro back then.
NecroBioBoi.
Tank necro dies in t7, speed farming andariels rogue stands still in t8 and clears the thing in 15 min. With mythic uniques obtainable in the first few days of playing is this really a fair game anymore :) ¿
Did you know destroying your bone prism gives essence on kill.
Yep! For each section.
I just want a decent chill necro minion like last season. No way I am doing this build with a controller lol. Liked anyways because Your work is awesome.
Minions is still really good!
Bone Spirit is agressively mediochre at hordes. It is a burst nuker made for bossing and you should just have a necromancer alt who is the speedfarmer which will do this with twice the competence. Dont waste time on attempting to be ok at something the build isnt for.
And how did you come to that conclusion? Gotta do stuff to learn stuff.
How is it so large....???? youre bone.... prison..... is there a aspeckt for it or how??? jokes aside
Path of trag oul boots
imagine doing infernal hordes 7 and only getting 200 aether 🤣 nty
How much aether you get is completely based on the boons you get to pick, but pop off king.
@@MacroBioBoi now now no offense
My least favorite necromancer build - no hp, no defense, no mist, useless in combat stats such as essence and essence per sec, too glassy, just one big boom in a few seconds, meh
Show that you didn't watch the video without saying that you didn't watch the video.
Did we watch the same video?!
why does your head shake like that?
What's the desired outcome of the question? If I have some kind of syndrome or disease, you feel bad. If it's just when I lock in on controller I move, you learn that.
Whenever curiosity rears its head, I'm reminded that often, people don't like for their tics or issues to be called out, and it makes me feel bad when I need to respond "Ohh sorry, I was just curious".
He’s getting in the groove. Weird question, dude.
Compared to other classes, this is the slowest and most boring class in Season 5, only suitable for bosses.
I have a Barb with shako, GF, and doombringer. Tried an upheaval burn build and a deathblow build.. annnnnd I went back to necro
