Basically I love your simplicity ! ❤ Just walking on the roads... Saying 'Hello' to unknown people... Trying typical and local foods/fruits... 💐 Best wishes from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰
The fruit you bought which is called "Anoda" is very unique. (English term - Soursop and scientific generic name - Annona) Because it has a unique taste and rare nutrition composition. It contains around 70 - 100 calories per 100g, vitamin C, vitamin B6, iron, magnesium, potassium and dietary fibres. The special thing about this fruit is the leaf of the plant has been nicknamed “the cancer killer” and, as the name suggests, is also used in traditional medicine in the treatment of cancer. Many would be surprised to know that Anoda has miraculous cancer cell killing properties, almost 10000 times stronger than Chemo which has been found from research studies. I would like to say this fruit is a gift from nature. It is a natural medicine for protection from pathogens and diseases. By the way, don't eat the seeds... 😁
@Headlines Generator yes you can I live in Canada, ( farm boy , produce Depot) is hard to find normally they are available in summer . Try local Produce Store . My.mom.is cancer patient I always buy it when ever I can find it
I love how you buy from each of the sellers and support them. It's awesome. Great seeing the roads and local area too. Enjoying your videos, and the other day you bought fish and gave it to someone that was so generous!!!
@13:57 you've walked past probably the most unique fruit of this stall: The red bananas. Of the anona there are many different varieties and there are sweet ones and sweet and sour ones.
Sri Lanka A1 First class Mango Name is in Tamil "KARUTHA KOLUMBAAN " that mean Black Colombo - it is very very honey tasty - my favorite fruit in colombo its name "LAAVULU" try that very nice smell nice
My family grows corn, in Canada. We boil it for 3 min ( no longer) and slather in butter and light salt. The Corn kernels should “pop” in your mouth. It cost $3 🇨🇦 for 6 corn.
Br. Thanks for being at my hometown. I do work with one of your nationality. He is very Kind Person same like you Davood.now wish you all the best and good luck for Explorers....... take care.
that mango name is " alponsu mango" that is exxpensive in srilanaka but it is very sweet. you can try srilankan " karthu Kolamba mango " it is low price brother..
The orange colored coconut is actually called "King Coconut", or in Sinhalese "Thambili". If you ask someone to get you a coconut, without pointing at a King Coconut at the same time, you run the risk of getting a coconut that is used as an ingredient in cooking. They grow in similar (Same family.) but different trees too.
That yellow mango was introduce to sri lanka recently, Form india. May be 8 years ago. They are called "Alphonso" They are so sweet and meaty. You should try the mango called "karthakolomban" unfortunately its not the season, but you may find them in some fruit vendors. They have a nice combination of sweet and a little bit of sour, and very unique texture.
You are a superb person indeed as you speak very simple English with these innocent people and take their love and affection ❤️ people also love you a loooooooot more than crazy politicians like you say " crazy buses" 😋 May Lord Buddha bless you 🙏 and I know that you belong to Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 and that's God's plan for you.... Stay in Sri Lanka forever 🇱🇰
Usually fruits are expensive in Sri Lanka. The mango you bought is called TJC, a variety of Alphonso. It is very expensive one. The same price even for Sri Lankans. Very true, Sri Lankan bus drivers are crazy, specially the long distance buses. Short distance buses, method of operation is some what different. They stop on bus stop for several minutes until passengers come and drive slowly for a certain distance and starts driving fast when the destination is near, to reach the destination on time.
Thank you for making videos of normal life. Not getting into politics is so refreshing. Courageous effort is appreciated. The fruit stall may have over charged you as they charged the same as a super market in the UK
for pineapple we call in sinhala "annasi" . but I think it is not sinhala a name . it came from Portuguese language. they also called "annasi" to pineapple.
Shrilankan people are very honest and friendly for tourists ...nice to see ...you people ..treating such a way ...love from ..india

Custard apple is a smaller fruit with smooth skin also pinkish in color.
English name for Anoda ( the green fruit with thorns!) Is SOURSOP. Good for patients with kidney stones. Enjoy..
