Very useful information. It's great that those side rails can be removed for an extra thorough cleaning. 👍
When is the confirmed ship date?
Super helpful. Much easier to clean then when I first saw the Arden!!
Thank you for this! This is legit one of the biggest things I've thought about, is how long will it take me to clean this after I'm done?! And the fact that you guys even thought ahead about cleaning under everything, just shows how amazing this smoker is going to be!!!!
Thank you! Love my smoker
0000 steel wool does a great job on the inside and door glass without scratching.
Would lining the drip pan with foil affect cooking in any way? I’ve tried it a few times and it has saved me a lot of cleaning time.
It shouldn't affect anything except your cleanup time.
i would love to see a video on smoked fruits
so would we. Good idea
Yep ship dates any update on ranger of orders and their ship time frames ?
Great when should this show up at my door steps? I'm an early backer and there is no concrete date at the moment.
2nd this!!!!!
As we get close (which we are very soon) to the time window we initially laid out, we will be announcing the specific time frame. There is always a little wiggle room in the beginning, and now we want to make sure that when we announce specific day/week/date(s) etc. That they are solid and won't change cause or confusion.
Shorthand: we will be announcing that time frame very soon. We are very close to the finish line.
Can you smoke a ham thanks
I’ll just call the merry maid service, problem solved-then we’ll sit down together and be carnivores!! How bout some smoked salmon?
Oooh, good call! We love making smoked salmon in Arden ... it's fast and delicious! Vote counted. :)
Pretty soon we are gonna have to make a special kcwilcox1 tribute video haha
Can you post a video with more details on the WiFi capabilities?
And what about Bluetooth?
It would be great to match an Arden up with a Combustion thermometer for ΔT cooking.
working on it
would be cool if you can fit single use drip trays at the bottom to catch the fat or to make a sauce like for a french dip.
Excellent idea. Our drip tray does have a specific shape but shouldn't be too hard to replicate for single use if needed.
@@Firstbuild You guys could try making your own aluminum foil drip trays to sell as another revenue method that fit in Arden as i dont think any current "standard" ones will.

You guys thought this out ! Can i use the Arden as an "everyday " counter top oven ?
I'm probably going to keep on my counter top. I would like it to replace my small oven.
Cook thing like frozen dinner or bake a small cheesecake.
We don't see any reason why you couldn't give it a shot. Just remember that Arden is optimized for low and slow, so it might not hit those higher temps that some conventional ovens can and there could be some slight residual smoke from past cooks, even without the pellets. Something to think about.
Makes perfect sense. How hot does it get ?
when do you funders get their first smokers?
Have you done smoked "shotgun shells" or "moinks" yet? 2 great bbq appetizers.
we have not but we can add it to the list.
What type of light bulb ? I already want to change it and put one with a blue hue to it like a ‘daylight’ bulb.
Why is there “spent pellets” instead of just ash like a traditional pellet grill?
I believe they previously mentioned they only barely smolder the pellets for the smoke generation (and probably safety) and they use the heating elements for bulk temperature instead of actually burning the pellets to ash. The smoldering limits the smoke, which is why you will never produce a smoke ring, and is likely needed to match their catalyst system for filtration.
@@flynace essentially, yes. The cooking heat comes electrically, So we don't need full or large amounts of combustion, just enough to add smoke flavor without it becoming overwhelming, since it is much more of a "closed system" than a traditional smoker. Also correct why there isn't a smoke ring, which requires lots of combustion. But that smoke flavor is great and everything stays very moist.
With all of the the available FirstBuild resources, how about holding a measuring tape to the inside and providing us some dimensions?
Found these dimensions from a reply on their IdieGoGo update comments:
LORNE DAY
BACKER
➦LORNE DAY
I just got these dimensions via their help email.
Arden needs 3" of clearance in the back, and an inch on either side.
Its dimensions are:
16.54" width
20.35" depth (door handle to cord wrap)
21.52" depth (when including the optional counter drip tray)
16.24" height
@@davevinton6754 Thanks
I am actually wanting the dimensions inside the oven cavity.
They were once saying roughly 9″ × 11″ (I forget how tall) before they implemented the ladder rails, which is actually pretty small to fit a lot of cookware, especially deeper pans if you want to smoke soups and the like.
Many were strongly encouraging FirstBuild to at least support standard 12″ × 10″ half pans, but that looks unlikely.
They have been quite cagey about not publishing the dimensions, probably because they don't want to advertise how small the chamber actually is, which is understandable.
Their smoke generation and catalyst filter has to be well balanced, but I would have gladly given up some height if it allowed more versatility to accommodate cookware in the same total volume.
will y'all ever give the option to deliver to europe or send it through fed ex or something, when it becomes fully on sale
or should i stop following the project, find a different product?
International release is a tough nut to crack. We won't rule it out but for this first major run, it will be staying on this side of the Atlantic. Sorry.
@@Firstbuild i mean, i can figure out the wall outlet issue, can't y'all like just send it over with fed ex if i pay the shipping?
Is there a specific brand of pellets that we need to use in our units or is it compatible with any brand of pellets?
Should be compatible with any brand. The main thing is the size and shape so they don't get stuck internally. Arden takes "standard" size pellets. Most brands stick to approximately the same size pellets.
Is there any plans for a larger version?
not currently but if the demand is there then I'm sure it will be taken seriously.
@@Firstbuild thanks!
How about you make a video about WHEN WE GET THEM? I've got meat just waiting to be smoked
working on it. Lots of content is coming soon.
Great product. Will you cater for international customers one day? We have money but have not been able to back you.
international release can be a really tough thing to do. Maybe one day, but for the immediate future we are staying in North America. Sorry.
When can I purchase the indoor smoker?

Great info. I can't wait for the next video. It's all so amazing. 😀 BTW, does it come with a starter bag of pellets?
Great question. We will get back to you on that one...
