Aren’t you supposed to have at least 4” clearance on all sides for ventilation? You don’t have much clearance on top so perhaps that’s a contributing factor.
Awesome video! I cooked my first brisket with my Arden tonight and i still gotta learn how to use this thing haha. Yeah the smoke smell goes through the entire house and had to open a few windows. But overall happy with the Arden so far. Happy smoking!
I don’t see an issue with the smoke smell. Kinda like complaining that your fireplace has a smoke smell. It’s a smoker… I live in an apartment complex that doesn’t allow a grill, so it’s perfect for me. Happy cooking!
Is there any chance the seals on this aren't quite perfect? I know they had some door alignment problems a while back. I thought it was also not supposed to smell strong. Have you been able to reach out to GE and see if they have any troubleshooting or tests you could do to Make sure the seals are good?
No, I think it depends on the smoke intensity. If you use it on the lowest, it isn't so bad, but then you do not get that robust smoke flavor. I think my recommendation is to use some ventilation even though it isn't required.

I had that issue on the first couple of cooks but it hasn’t been a problem since.
I will be doing future smoking outside in my gazebo

I used mine this weekend twice and had about as much smoke smell as I would have from using the oven.
