  • I'm back at the grocery store to show you my favorite and healthiest gluten free foods on the market. Even though we have amazing gluten free selections now, it does not means that it's good for you. Instead of starchy fillers, look for foods with whole grains and beans, and try to avoid too many preservatives and additives. Right now is a great time to be gluten free, the grocery stores are full of exciting foods that taste great and don;t make you feel like you have to sacrifice just because you are not eating gluten. Mad love Bobby...Dessi...and Art! XOXO

Canyon Bakehouse - each of their products have a slightly different ingredient list. The "shelf stable" breads all use canola oil, whereas the three main "freezer" breads use olive oil. The bagels don't use olive oil either. Read each product's label because they change it up a lot depending on the product.

Are you Serbian? Love the country! Do you think buying a bread machine is worth it for people like us that can't have wheat and making your own? Or do you make it by hand? If you are from Serbia, you probably knead your own bread?

Organic einkorn is a healther option.
I personally wouldn't buy any flour that isn't organic. It doesn't have to be a gmo plant to be used glysophate on. Round up desiccation is used on regular crops like potatoes and rice, which are in the product you mentioned. But this is just one herbicide among many that will be used.

Since 1 in 7 Americans have IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), I'd like to see you do a review of low FODMAP food items, which are just now beginning to show up in grocery stores. My 5 year old son is on a special diet for his special needs. We have been following the Feingold diet for a year now and have seen huge improvements once we eliminated all the garbage. Alot of your Bobby Approved products are also Feingold approved. But your list is way better in my opinion. You are helping me clean up his diet even more! Thank you so much. You are 100% correct... it's not easy. It took me months to find things that didnt have artificial colors, dyed, or preservatives and things that he didnt react to. And even if the FOOD doesn't contain bad ingredients, sometimes the package does and you cant see that on a label 😪. I would love to know all of your favorite GF items from Trader Joe's. So I have hashimotos and hypothyroid, I've been told going gluten free can help. My biggest challenges when looking at this was textures of foods, lack of flavour and the high sugar or salt. Price was also a major downside. It's pretty overwhelming trying to work it all out, get things you'd actually like to eat and keep within a budget. Hopefully I can learn more to help watching videos

Well I’m sorry to hear that . I’ve been celiac for almost 2 years now this October. It definitely is very expensive compared to regular gluten food but it is what it is I guess with that. If you live In the US I’ve heard you can do tax deductions if you keep track of how much you spend compared to non-gluten free. But I would look it up for your state. I’ve been through tons and tons of gluten free food. And almost tried everything so if you need some recommendations or just want to talk about Gf food lol I’m happy to help. Also, talking about the price thing, before I was celiac I would by prepackaged meals for lunches and stuff. I’ve noticed they really overprice that stuff. The one thing that really helps me is making a lot of my own food rather than buying the quick option. Really the only thing I buy is pastas, bread, muffins, and a few snacks. Especially now, because of all the fad diets, there really isn’t too much to choose from anyway. Lol.

I have hashimotos and was diagnosed with celiac last year. There are more gluten free things than I thought. It's more expensive for sure, but the transition has been easier than I thought.

I have the same issues and have been gluten/soy free for 8yrs now. No more bloating and inflammation is great. My favorite bread is base culture (more healthier) or carbonaut. Both are gluten-free and keto and taste better than his choices. I’ve noticed now that I am lactose intolerant too (which happens a lot with having issues we have) and I have to look out for things like that too. Also if you have a grocery outlet near you you’ll find some of these options way cheaper.

I'm celiac and have been for 20+ years. Imagine the awful stuff I have eaten over the years. LOL Especially when I first was diagnosed and so sad to not have the breads and pasta that I was used to. Now, I steer clear of starches so no longer care about the breads and pasta substitutes but I still agree with you Bobby. Most of that stuff is full of additives that are not good. And Annies....ugh. Can't trust them. Their products are often manufactured in facilities that also have wheat. Learned a long time ago to steer clear of Annie's. Didn't know about Capello's pizza. Thanks for that. Maybe when I want to splurge. Love your videos, Bobby!

After watching this video, I just checked the Canyon Bakehouse Bread that I bought at Ralph's (Kroger company), not only were the ingredients different (Canola oil instead of EVOO) than the Whole Foods bread, they were swapped around. Tapioca was the first ingredient. So, they are bagging a cheaper product for the other markets.

Hi Bobby! I just wanted to correct when you say that you cannot avoid emulsifiers/gums in almond milk. You actually can! I use Three Trees Almond (or Pistachio) milk, and the only ingredients are filtered water, organic almonds, organic vanilla extract, and organic vanilla beans (for the almond milk). Just putting that out there for the viewers :)
Also caught that for the bread options in the beginning of the video, there are gums, emulsifiers, and additives in the ingredients alongside the nutrients. Are these at all possible to avoid in gluten-free breads? (for example, cellulose, xantham gum, etc.)
I appreciate your videos, and your sharing your knowledge with us! Take care.

I live in a rural area and a Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s is 85 miles away. All I have is Safeway or Walmart and a grocery outlet. I have to get creative with shopping for gluten free products or learn to make my own. I’m Non-Celiac Gluten intolerant and have found sourdough and am loving it. Do you have a vid on why sourdough is easier to digest and many GF people can handle eating it? It would be nice to refer people to one of your videos when they have questions.
