No. 0 & No. 3 made the most drastic difference in my hair. Even though I don't heat style, my hair still gets UV damage. I have virgin hair, sleep with a silk pillowcase, hardly ever wear my hair in a tight ponytail...but I still get split ends like a mofo. Just saying, it's not only for those who bleach or use heat tools. It's a miracle for ANYONE with damaged hair!!!

I'm happy to read this. I don't color or style my hair with heat so you'd think it would be healthy, but I have split ends up to my ears! I refuse to chop off all my hair, though. (It's waist length.) So I bought No. 0 and No. 3 to see if it helps any. It was so hard to convince myself to spend $60 on something that I wasn't sure would help. This makes me feel a little better.

I have afro hair, combination 3/4 bc, and have been using olaplex since I had heat damage from silk pressess. I have noticed minimal shedding which I'm grateful for. I love the hack about pre shampooing, especially for afro hair to remove product build up to get max benefits. I also use a medicated shampoo so this have enables me to use both without stripping my hair after applying number 0 and 3. Ps loving your earrings and top.

    A curly girl here!
Just a note about the olaplex 7 dupes Olaplex 7 uses silicone that are water soluble, if im not mistaken, so they don't build up, but the ogx oil uses insoluble silicone which can develop dry brittle hair over long time use and hair loss.

Put your hair in a bun on top of your hair and then place the nozzle of #0 into your bun. Squeeze the bottle and your bun so that it begins to saturate the hair. This is the best way to distribute it throughout the hair.

Tips are good. If you shampoo your hair prior to using 0 and 3 you should wait until you hair is fully dry. If your hair is wet then 0 may not fully penetrate your strands because of the water. Apply 0, put on a plastic cap, wait at least 10 minutes, apply 3, then put the plastic cap back on.. proceed as normal

I just purchased and used 0 and 3 yesterday. I wish I had seen your video. I applied it wrong. According to the directions it says to apply 0 to dry hair. I used half of the bottle! Then I waited 10 minutes and applied 3 and left on over an hour. I then washed and conditioned my already dry hair. My hair looked worse. Flyaways and frizz!
Thanks to your video I will first wash my hair with a clarifying shampoo and follow your instructions. Hopefully I will have better results.

My hair stylist told me only to use No 3 about once a month due to the high levels of proteins in it. She said it can actually make your hair weaker if used frequently. I’m not sure if this is true, or not…

@@AshLey-js1jx I can understand how you’d be a little anxious but I think it’s effective in moderation. The No. 3 is like magic - I leave it in for 30-60 min. @SoFarAway. 2 роки тому +10

@@TheAmandajoy4602 the temperature of water doesn't actually affect the cuticles as people think.. it's a misconception about hair.
First of all, open cuticles is damaged hair so that is not something we really want. Water alone does swell up the hair which opens up the cuticles a bit ( which is why it's not healthy to leave hair wet for a long time ) .. One other thing that affects it is PH, and most products are already balanced in a mildly acidic ph which is great for hair ( minus some reaally clarifying shampoos, which is why again they're not meant to be used all the time ).

I use cling wrap, it’s tight and seals well and only costs a few cents! Wrap a strip around the back and tie at the top and then do the same from the top to the bottom. If you have a lot of hair just add more pieces.

Please don’t use cling wrap , it’s very contaminating !!! Single use plastic is the worst .

As an added “hack”, Costco currently sells two bottles of 0 and 3 for $45 online so there is a $15 savings. But I’ve found Olaplex has better deals than that during the holidays. And instead of a clarifying shampoo, I rinse my hair with very diluted ACV and it gets rid of ALLLL the buildup. I only do this maybe twice a year because it works so effectively. Hope this helps anyone ballin on a budget :)

Thanks for the advice! I will try your hacks. My hair is really damaged from the Japanese treatment, hair dye and using a hot iron. Olaplex hasn’t done much for my hair and I know one size does not fit all. I have to figure out what works for me.

Don't recommend for 30 - 45 mins of olaplex 0 or 3....I recommend putting on wet hair for 10 - 15 mins . Specially for thick dry hair like mine.....because you don't wanna damage even more by keeping it for too long......you need to rescue your hair slowly bit by bit....use it only ONCE a week. or more than a week. That's enough to rescue your hair. Then you need to use lite weight hair serum with vitamins minerals immediately to lock the moisture of your hair when you have slightly wet hair. Never wash your hair everyday !! Wash your hair twice every week....may be very oily hair needs everyday wash. You need Olaplex oil or any good hair oil & very good lite hair serum everyday to protect & keep it polished, moist & silky smooth. USE FLAXSEED MUCUS by boiling those seeds in water, on your hair for an hour & half.....your hair will be silky like hell. But anything you do you have to lock your moisture of your hair by putting the hair serum on you hair when it's still bit wet & hair is silky soft. That's the hack. You don't need anything else.....even only Olaplex no: 3 is enough. Rest can be a good soft shampoo & powerful detangling conditioner.....then flax seed mucus for an hour.....then again conditioner then lock the moisture with lite weight glycerin based serum with matt silk finish not heavy oily serum nope. That's it your hair is rescued. Also recommend everyone to watch Blowout Professor aka Chris on UA-cam. He literally saved me. Great video by the way.

I have yet to try the olaplex # 6 and 7 but I have definitely tried the ogx penetrating oil & I absolutely love it after learning how to use it. Not only does it smell great. I love applying it to my hair & my hair is adapting to it really well ❤ It has been part of my holy grail. I have tried the shampoo & conditioner of olaplex before I just wished I knew more about this back then 😢
Thank u so much for all the info I have not tried the elvive but I have been trying the ogx tea tree mint shampoo & conditioner & it has been amazing on my hair. I was supposedly trying to buy the aveeno greens blend but we were out of those in the store so I tried ogx instead. Either way it worked out regardless

I love olaplex but it's so expensive to get some type of regime. I proffered to use no3 regularly.
I struggled to keep up with the system.
I now use kinami7 hair butter on almost dry hair and blow dry with wide paddle brush.
My hair is thick and curly ( I'm white so I have medium tight curls ) I can reapply the hair butter to my tips on day 3 hair to rehydrate the ends ☺️

If anyone knows how to stop hair loss and or balding please lmk 😊I have to wear a hat or scarf because I’m so embarrassed by the bald spots. I’m pretty sure it’s not alopecia. Thank you again everyone🫶

If you have no.0 you should use it to dampen your hair and proceed with no.3, but if you don’t you can just use water and then no.3. You should let no.0 process in your hair for 10 minutes while for no.3, you should keep it in your hair for a MINIMUM of 10 minutes however you can leave it on for longer💗💗
