*This is an UNSPONSORED review. I purchased all of these products myself and am not affiliated with Olaplex in any way.*
In this video, I’m trying every single olaplex product (except for 1 and 2, those are not home-use). The amount of hype, whether warranted or unwarranted, behind this brand is on another level. I see people raving about these products all over UA-cam, TikTok, Instagram…they’re EVERYWHERE. I used to use no 3, but stopped because I was using a billion things in my hair and it kinda just floated in the back of my haircare cabinet…and I forget about it, lol. But after seeing video after video of Olaplex on social media, I decided to try it out for myself. Make sure you watch the entire video to see my final thoughts on all of the products! Let me know in the comments, have you tried Olaplex? Which products do/don’t you like.

I talked with my stylist and he said that it is good for damaged hair and should only be used up to 6 months (or until you see your desired results). After that he specifically said to not use it anymore! It’s not supposed to be used as an everyday shampoo or conditioner because it does contain excessive treatment chemicals salon professionals use when they are treating damaged hair. Just wanted to put out some helpful info out there!

Olaplex has been in my rotation for a few years, each time they bring out a new product I try it. I won't buy another of no 0 or no 7 but I will always buy no 3 and no 6. Sometimes I will swap out the shampoo and conditioner for NAK which is a great alternative that is better on the budget and still cruelty-free.
I had brightly coloured hair for years and then when I went blonde (using olaplex in salon) my hair all slowly snapped off from excess straightening and not using good products. Flash forward to regular at home olaplex use and my hair has grown insanely long which has never happened before. Its expensive but it has done wonders for me. I use the olaplex no 4 myself and there have been times where it's left my hair oily at the roots but I think that I also noticed that the shampoo is much thicker than usual shampoos and you need to use less because you can kind of water it down as you massage a little bit through your hair. I think this is the one shampoo where I can actually use a "quarter size" and it can cover my entire head but if you use more than that it's too much and leaves a residue. So I've had mixed results depending on how I apply it, but when I use less I have liked how long my hair has remained damage-free.

The bonding oil is silicon based and not an actual oil (as most hair oils on the market, they're mainly silicon only with a whisper of oil at the end of the ingredients list so the quantity is very low). When they're silicon based it's the main ingredient in heat protectants :)

I've only tried N.3 and my hair loved it, I would leave it in over night most times before washing and that extra time did make a difference for my very fine, long and knotty hair, BUT... I have long and straight fine hair and it is super damaged just from brushing and everyday activity. I try my best to protect it (no hair ties, even silk scrunchies and hair sticks hurt my hair, I use a ton of conditioner, hair protecting leave-ins, expensive silk bonnet at night, don't use a towel on it, don't use heat) but I still have a lot of fly-aways and split ends. Many hairdressers have told me how damaged my hair is, how many split ends I have... I know! If I could not touch it I wouldn't! Right now I'm even trying to wash it way less and it's been a greasy experience. I've been waiting for a video this informative on Olaplex and it's really tempting me to try it! The problem with Olaplex products is that they contain more silicone than other ingredients. This is also what left the shampoo residue on the hair and why it was oily afterwards. The hair is simply coated with silicone. My really long, regularly dyed and styled hair is much healthier, smoother and easier to manage since I use purely natural care products and none with silicone. It took some time for my scalp and hair to adjust. But it was worth it - healthier hair, lower hair care costs and better for the environment.

No her results are due to user error mainly. I strongly despise false info which makes up most of the internet and social media etc today. I am forced to be a master at researching because of it. Even though the hair perfector says its ok to apply to roots and scalp it is not the best option. I tested out different methods and realized all I need to do is apply the no 3 starting from mid lengths to the tips of my hair ( never on the hair above my ear) and follow along with no. 4 shampoo after 10 min. No more oily hair for me and others unless you naturally have super oily hair. Still worth trying. Funny thing is my hair looks better with just the no. 3 not the 0 and 3 combined. Also don't use too much shampoo and conditioner ( I don't like the no. 5 conditioner i prefer to use the olaplex 4 in 1 mask in lieu of conditioner). Too much conditioner can lead to unnecessary oiliness too. I have tried soooo many shampoos and no. 4 has been the only one that has worked for me. The 4c is too clarifying the no. 4 for me is just enough in terms of clarifying because I dont use tons of hair products etc in the first place. Also have fun experimenting. Try no. 6 on one side and no.6 and 7 on the other side see which on3 looks better. I think she added to much no.7 and no.6. Use a small amount you dont need alot of it. I do prefer the no. 9 though because its a heat protectant and provides shine too.

I am in my 60s and have wavy fine hair color treated this is a gamer changer I use 3 ,4,5 and 6 air dry or blow dry it is great 6 keeps the frizz down you can use very little of all products and it produces stronger and thicker hair

Even though I don't heat style my hair, I still get split ends!
I'm very tempted to give Olaplex a try after reading so many positives about it.
Aldi have a much cheaper alternative but I'm a bit sceptical about buying it as only Olaplex have all the scientific ingredients which are proven to prevent hair damage & promote healthy hair growth.

@@zarrin6486 Olaplex. Awesome product & a little goes a VERY long way!
However, because I wrote this comment a while back, I'm not able to afford Olaplex anymore :(. On the hunt for a cheaper alternative as I don't think Aldi carry the knock off anymore.

Your hair is soooo beautiful 😍😍😍😍 Thank you for a good informative review. Personally I have just used no.3 on it's own and it really did a miracle with my split ends. Now i've got no.0 as well to see how they will work together

the shampoo may not work on your hair as it contains a lot of proteins (usually needed for highly damaged/dry hair or hair with split end higher up) so the moisture would give your hair a waxy feel to it which is also why shea moisture won’t work as well. to remove this just use an anti build up shampoo e.g. an apple cider vinegar base
