Tom lord alge is amazing. Enema of the state was the first record I ever brought and it's still hands down one of my favorite childhood records his mixes on that album are fucking amazing.
Tom wow!!! I almost cried when I finally got a look at your digital tracking machine and the ssl.. The sound you produce/mix, your sound that spank, lol deluxe sound is how I think of it, & I have become absolutely addicted to it! I listen to angels & airwaves pat- 1,2 every day when I go walking. I have thought about that sound, your sound from when I first heard it all the way to now I can't get past it. The saturation with the comp that's pushed the way you do it, and as you say no need for the pro-tools & computers. I can taste it! I think there was a taking back Sunday track on a soundtrack I had some years ago and I knew it was your mix right away.!!! What are the AD converters in your Sony digital tape machine? I thought you once said apogee 48k or something like that I can't remember. All your work is damn amazing.!
Hi Tom: on your great remix of 'Big Time' some of the elements sound like they were flown in from Peter's track, 'No More Apartheid,' on the Sun City album. Is that accurate? what's the story there? thanks!
Good ear Del... CLA & I cut a track around Peters vocal that eventually became "No More Apartheid"... I then "pinched" a couple of screams and used them in the "Big Time" remix... Peter picked up on it as well...
