- Today we want you take a "Ride Along" on Swing Shift with Deputy Tim Tan in Parkland. See the variety of calls he gets to handle with a day in the life of a sheriff deputy in one of our busier districts!
We share these videos with you so you have an actual look at what it is like to work a full shift as a deputy. We could cherry pick the exciting calls, but we know that is not realistic to what the job is really like. Visit our profile to see our other Ride Along and body camera videos or checkout our UA-cam page to skip the posts and just watch videos!
Outstanding stache Deputy Tan
Yeah if it was 1873😂
@@drexlspivey3047 still a great 'stache
Cock broom
@@drexlspivey3047 Some people can pull it off and he's one of them
@@drexlspivey3047No way man! The curled mustache will forever be a great look
Tim 'Don't think there's a crime committed' Tan. 😂
ME, MYSELF AND I.
Why you had to do it to my man Tim Tan like that?
Deputy Tim Tan loves everyone in his community, especially minors.
Tan knows how to protect ALL members of his community, especially those who want to hurt Children
tim tan is a pdf file protector
Yes he is... how sad to protect the people that harm children
Deputy Tan looks like the kind of cop that will let a child predator go free because he doesn’t believe it is a crime.
@@Rusty327 his exact words actually!
You're gonna be real famous, real soon, buddy 😉😉
why?
@@lunarlight3131 bc he chose to NOT arrest a predator! He refused to do his job.
@@beatcat1265it was much worse then that. He unilaterally, without a supervisor, simply decided that he was not coming to the scene to investigate because he found nothing actionable. Deputy Tan is an absolute disgrace.
@@beatcat1265He refused to even show up to the scene!
dude what happened? I didn't see anything in the video
Thank you ALL Pierce County Sheriff's Officers for your amazing and hard efforts and praying for you, your families and I support you all. God Bless!
This is one of the best ride along channels out there.
Fr 15min 15min! need to be longer XD
Right! Feels like an episode of cops.. without commercials 🙏🏻😊
Yea, really well done
This show isn’t bad it’s just fairly banal. It is interesting just experiencing the typical day of law enforcement but this was fairly boring.
@@sunshizzleyoubecause it’s authentic. It’s not a dramatic cops show only showing the entertaining parts. It’s real life!
This deputy protects lil boy lovers.
Gordon Flowers 2024 🇺🇸
Nice guy, chill, love the vibes. Looking forward to more ride alongs, especially I would love to see more of them with Sgt. Moss
Don't forget the.... moustaaaaaaaache.
@@philonetic321 the moustache is on point :D
On point to a boys' butt. Tan sucks.
I heard that he doesn’t respond to calls if he thinks the crime won’t be prosecuted
This aged poorly
Enjoyed this "ride-along" with this Young, Kind, and Professional Policeman! You are so Respectful of everyone, the victims, your colleagues, and even the suspects.
Thankyou for your Service! 🙂
Except he loves to protect pedophiles
He loves em young.
Great Job Deputy Tan! Much respect!!
We need more officers like you
You're awesome an amazing how in tune you are With your community so kicked back an mellow
God bless keep safe
YES! we need more officers who fail to yield to a school bus discharging children. Also, we need more officers who will ticket you for not wearing a seatbelt while removing theirs while driving. NO big deal right? He is a stelar example of how law enforcement is expected to behave. Kudos to you for exemplifying this officer's behavior.
@@copterfixernot to mention the fact that he chooses to not respond to calls that involve PDF Files, not because his supervisor said not to, but because he believes that it “won’t be procecuted”
Deputy Tan loves pd files
Thank you for not putting background music or theatrics in this video. Plain and simple. I watched the whole thing from start to finish.
horrible policing
Great video! The only thing that made me nervous was when the deputy overtook the school bus at 5:38 while it had its stop lights on and sign out. It made me hold my breath for a second when he didn't appear to slow down even a little bit. I noticed there were residential properties on both sides of the road. My greatest fear was a kid darting out in front of him, not expecting a police car to be doing 30-45 mph around the bus.
The bus was pulled over to yield for the lights and sees as ie should. Ta wasn’t a bus stop.
@@remodz6385If that were a public transportation bus, I might see your point.
But one, that was a school bus. School busses do not generally have a Bus Stop like public transportation because school bus stops can change from year to year based on the where the kids they're transporting live so you're rarely going to find a permanent school bus stop.
Two, a school bus yielding to lights and sirens would generally not throw out their Red stop lights and Stop sign.
Three, did you notice that there were no cars coming on the opposite side of the road and how all lanes of traffic were correctly stopped with a large amount of space around the front and rear of the bus? Most likely this bus was likely stopped long before the police car was in sight of the bus driver.
But four, an officer still need to proceed with extreme caution around a school bus that has its red lights and stop sign out.
I was going to comment on this too. Anyone in public service knows you need to stop for that no matter what call you're going to..
Dont be dramatic lol. Your points are valid but even if a child wouldve stepped out from infront of the bus, the deputy was far enough to the left that he wouldve missed the child by atleast 5 feet.
@thomasdaniels6824 love your comment. Making an observation is being dramatic.
Great to see different calls and how they interact with the public.
This was a great episode.
I can relate to your college decision, too. I went in for a medical degree, but quickly found that I couldn't speak that foreign language. Haha
My prerequisites were computers and office, so I went for my Executive Secretary certification with Computer Science. Now I drive 18-wheelers. Go figure.😅
I have trained people to drive trucks and even worked closely with Washington State Patrol during the "Leave More Space" campaign.
Be safe out there. Love what you all do to keep the peace.
Good job! That’s what it’s all about…finding what you’re good at doing.
I’m still looking. Glad you found out!
@@naughtystep285 awesome. Well, as long as you can make a difference in someone else's life, then you have found it. Now you can capitalize on it and perfect it.... over and over again.
@@MissJenni_ISO That’s sweet, yes! Take care! Keep truckin’. 👋😎
Awesome thank you and be safe❤
I just want to know why Deputy Tan protects ped O files.
🐷
dude what happened? I didn't see anything in the video
It's there now if you Google Deputy Timothy Tan. There is a couple youtube videos showing what a douche this guy is and why he shouldn't have a badge. His ego gets in the way of saving children in his community.
Icac needs to check his hard drives.
This was GREAT! Thank you for sharing your day with us Deputy Tan. This was so very interesting how everything is done, and I was surprised at how many calls you were dispatched to on that day.
I've been on ride alongs in both Tukwila and Lakewood. My brother was a SWAT team leader and SGT. Mark Renninger of Lakewood P.D. This is a great video and brings back memories to visiting him and his family as well as loving the Police work he so loved!! 💙💙💙💙
Love these ride Along videos! AND, it is good to see PIO Moss is back.
thank you Deputy Tan for keeping our criminals safe and free.
I hope you're like this when the camera is off! The US needs more officers like you.
“I don’t think I need to come out there”. Making decisions for prosecutors and sergeants without even asking them. “There’s no evidence”. As he refuses to come out and see any evidence. Astounding.
more ride alongs! Please! Love this!
Deputy protecting and serving the child diddlers in an area near you.
I love the old timey mustache you look like you could be a villain that would tie a damsel in distress to the train tracks but you are also looking like an old-time sheriff's deputy from the Wild West
The video was a good watch. Deputy Tan works in a beautiful area. I wish him all the best.
TY for showing your day deputy. I hope we can see more soon or maybe even go live. Regardless,. Stay safe.
Tall trees, lush green foliage, and rainy weather looks like an inviting environment. My heart goes out to the father and daughter exchanging I love you’s.
Great episode, good job officer Stache 🫡
The intro really brought me back to late 90’s early 00’s TV 😂
This was a really interesting look at a day in the life of a deputy.
In a heterosexual way officer Tim Tan has a sexy mustache
Key fob on the vest zipper is genius!
I was thinking the same thing!!
Bootlickers
More should be like you. God bless
That is a sore eye for a nice town. Those houses you were just at townhouses. Such a bad sore eye. 👀our incorporated city runs them off. Our city taxes are high, we don’t need to be scared living in our own homes. One transit going thru, stabbed a food truck driver. He wanted money and stabbed him in the chest, bled out in seconds. The guy ran into the Tom Thumb gas station and locked himself in the bathroom. He said he needed a pack of cigarettes. An awesome hard working family man lost his life because he wouldn’t buy a pack of Ciggies.
❤thank you for doing service
Great to ride along with you. Thank you for what you do. Be safe.
Great work by these officers, seriously. Tim Tan knows what he's doing and is a very calm and collected cop even when the general public aren't being the best with him. We need more officers like this out there. I wish I decided to become a police officer but with the way the general public is nowadays, I'll find a different way to help people.
@seanl8930 Definitely wouldn't want him policing my city. He's so entitled he thinks he can refuse to go to calls just because he doesn't feel like going! He called an told the person reporting a crime that he wasn't going to.come because he didn't think that a pedo committed a crime! This is based solely off being dispatched to a call. He had no further info and refused to do his job and show up to investigate and take a report. This would be concerning under any circumstances, but when it's a child predator being reported and he flat out refuses to go....not a good look! Protect our children should be number 1 priority. Deputy Tim Tan just couldn't be bothered. Shameful and scary for his community if this is how he does his job.
Tim 'Me, Myself and I' Tan
Officer Tan why did you refuse to do your job and protect children??? Bc you refused to do your job a child predator is still walking the streets!
Do you have children? Do you not like doing your job? What if that man has been doing something to children bc you refused to do your job?
You are really cool to hang out with. Nice looking and well spoken. It is nice to see a cop video from my home state..
You guys need to make just the part about responding to the residence to see if the RO knew where their vehicle was a Public Service Video.
I’ve spent 25 years in law enforcement. And there is a huge trend on UA-cam with also the anti-cop crowd saying NEVER talk to the cops, if they show up at your door, don’t talk to them, don’t open it yada yada yada.
We all know when law enforcement shows up at a residence, 95% of the time it’s not even involving a crime, or it’s because we were called there for a call for service of some sort.
People never believe that they can show up for other reason, like trying to see if someone is a victim of a crime before they knew it themselves.
I have sent countless other agencies on wild goose chases because of possible unreported stolen vehicles, at all hours of the day or night. I have also knocked out countless doors at all hours because I found garages left open, vehicle doors left open, residence with open doors.
Worst time we can knock on doors at any time is to do a death notification.
That part should be made a separate video just to show that just because law enforcement is knocking on your door, it doesn’t mean they are trying to take someone to jail or make a case on the residents.
The nay sayers never believe it because it’s NEVER shown, it doesn’t make the news, it doesn’t make it in reports, it doesn’t make it on social media because it’s just stuff we do on a daily basis. Routine stuff, never makes social media because it’s boring, and no one knows to request camera footage of it, everyone just sees the shootings and the use of force incidents, because that makes the booking records and people request the footage. Then it blows up on social media and half the comments are saying the person should have said anything, or walked away or whatever have you. The public needs to see more of just the boring knocking on doors for follow up stuff and let them see what happens when people actually cooperate.
I worked in a county of 3,500 sq miles, usually only one of us were on at a time. One time I drove 2 hours to go knock on someone’s door to see if there were the victim of a crime because I located their property. It was on the other end of the county. They didn’t want to come to the door and told me to screw off. Okay then, did just that and drove back to the office. Person called the next day and wanted to be a victim because someone stole some of his property.
Lucky for me I was working. Told him, I would be more than happy to take a report and told him I tried to yesterday. Reminded him of his exact words back to him that he told me, and I told him I already drove out there yesterday and was met with hostility. He demanded I return back there. I told him due to the hostility, I wouldn’t be going back out there, and he was more then welcome to drive the two hours into the office to do a report. Told him sorry but it was now and officer safety issue since he made his feeling well known, and I was the only one able to respond on duty. Also told me dispatcher to send a minimum of two units to the residence for any calls in the future. Not sure if he ever came in to do the report or if he emailed in a statement.
Magnificent mustache deserves its own badge
amazing video! please post more ride alongs with TIm Tan!

Fantastic public servant in Deputy Tan
Very professional officer!
He doesn't like to do his job
He just ran by that bus doing like 20 over and an ambulance. 😂
This dude is great
finally a cop says what i thought for a long time now.... a cop usually won't give you a ticket if you are speeding but not being stupid.. if you are where there wont be pedestrians and you are being safe they will ignore you.
I don't understand,he wrote a ticket to the Mercedes car for speeding?,but he just ran a school bus STOP SIGN,you supposed to stop for children, coming of the bus,I'm sure there were more units responding to the call.
Great video
You know you are stressed when you have to look at your watch to see what month it is
Love the stache my man
Great cop.
Keep that mustache going, good job
