I’m a huge fan of B. Avalos. He is an amazing people person. Through the training we got through the AF I’m sure he touches a lot of hearts in the way he enter acts with the public. Keep up the great police work my friend.
Okay, anyone else get goosebumps when he said “this was the end of it” dv call someone being beat but no one answers the door… whelp let’s roll to the next one 😂 that’s kinda crazy… I hope it was a prank. I’ve been on too many dv calls and wellness checks that end up bad. But sometimes they don’t give the cops enough for them to work with.
Great video - I live on South Hill Puyallup and very thankful your out and about. Please be safe out there and go home to your families. Question: Why in the last couple of years do we see a sky rocket of people driving around with expired tabs. I have even seen people driving and the last year it was registered was in 2019. I started to tracking how many I would see in a day just when I was out and about and the numbers would be in the 20's for just a hour of doing quick stops. Seems like the state/ county is loosing out on a good amount of revenue. If the fines are high enough it should compound so if its $124 for expired tabs and they are 2 years behind, then $124 for each yeah.
I`m in Federal Way and notice the same thing, lots of expired tabs out there. if they don't have tabs you know they dont have insurance and or a license.
Thank you for telling the folks in the woods that there are plenty of shelters available in Pierce County. I know they probably already knew that and as the deputy said don't choose to go there, but more of the public needs to know that these folks are not without options.
Thank you PCS. See your patrols in the area all the time, even seen some of you out in the wild. Stay safe out there. I foster a few rescue dogs that you helped recover for PACK. Keep it up. !
It’s absolutely mind blowing that a homeless tweaker is in the hallway of an apartment complex with families obviously using drugs and they are just let off with a warning. Not blaming the deputies at all, I know their hands are tied. This state is a shitshow
You’d prob be less likely to get kicked out of every place you go if you didn’t leave your garbage covering the entire area and ruining the land you’re using.
I really enjoy these ride along videos very much. I enjoy seeing our community here getting the help it needs from all of our police officers. Thank you to our guys and gals in blue. How can someone help our community? What can an average community member do to assist in making our community a better and safer place for everyone? Me and my daughters pick up garbage/litter on our own when possible around our home walking area but is there something else possibly that we could do to help?
A DV 911 call for help with the RP saying “stop hitting me go away” and the RP doesn’t come to the door and the deputies leave? There must be more to this that isn’t in the video. How do they know she isn’t injured and suspect fled in her car? Based on this video, they don’t!
Not enough to justify kicking in the door. If we saw something or heard someone in trouble then we wouldn’t leave and would force the door. Can’t even get a warrant with what we had.
Precisely! A DV 911 call for help with the RP “saying stop hitting me go away” and the RP doesn’t come to the door and the deputies leave? There must be more to this that isn’t in the video. How do they know she isn’t injured and suspect fled in her car? They don’t!

@@PierceCountySheriffsDepartment I would have thought a forced entry via exigent circumstances to check on the welfare of the RP would have been warranted, appropriate and allowable in this instance. Nonetheless, I’m glad it turned out well for both the RP and PCSO!
I appreciate y’all taking us along with y’all. It does blow my mind that people come to the United States and they don't even speak English. We shouldn't have to learn their language to talk to them 😡
De-escalation often involves negotiating with those who are violating the law. I don't entirely support it because, if someone is breaking the law, they should just pack up and leave immediately.
Been seeing more departments do videos like this across the country. It's nice to see our local police department taking part as well. Hope to see more videos from you guys!
Why do they tolerate people just pitching a tent or staying on land that does not belong to them? They trash these beautiful forest and parks and live on the street in front of everyone. That's just ridiculous!!
You can’t do your drugs and drinking in the shelters deputy. Also lots of these people just don’t want the help. They prefer to be on the streets and it’s sad but that’s reality for so many of these people….
Most of the homeless people don't like the shelters you are actually treated like a prisoner and most of them don't want help why doesn't the county and city work with the homeless people and let them have their own pace all other states are the same way they rather build apartments for college students it is what Michigan does y'all are definitely a democratic state
As a Current Leo I love to see Pierce County Sheriff’s letting people in and see first hand whats going on. The public is quick to judge us without knowing the facts. This open door policy should be done at all departments so maybe…Just maybe the few members of the public who don’t understand what goes on now can have a little bit of insight!
Stay safe brothers and sisters thank you for helping animal control I currently do security at a pet hospital in Tacoma and will be in touch with state troopers again thank you for your service and protecting the community as a whole❤️ god speed and I admire your service to this nation.
Those "rent a room" houses are a major issue here in Tacoma. We have one down the block and see things like hand to hand transactions all the time. Investors shouldn't be allowed to turn houses in single family zoned areas into mini apartment buildings.
Great ride along! I appreciated getting to see a variety of calls. Thank you for all of the hard work you do to keep everyone safe. Love the team work too! Just great all around 😊❤
love watching you guys been a fan from the first time seeing the sheriffs department on cops. ill never forget my interactions with one of your deputy's i was in Washington dc for police week in 2019 and lost my phone on the bus heading back to the hotel my wife called my phone and he answer the phone told me what hotel he was at told me what he was wearing i said i know what your uniforms looked like he is a great guy wish i got his name. the reason i was there in DC was my first time going my dad was killed in the line of duty when i was 5 years old he was with the firestone police department in colorado his name is Richard hart EOW 10/18/1982. stay safe out there keep up the good work
We can’t kick in the door to every house when someone doesn’t answer. No sign that anyone was home. The car mentioned was gone, talked to neighbors and called multiple times. Not enough for a warrant or warrantless entry…
We WANT TO LOVE THE POLICE!! ITS JUST NOT POSSIBLE IF AND OR WHEN THEY OVERSTEP THEIR AUTHORITY!! WE HAVE TO HAVE POLICE BECAUSE THERE ARE CRIMMINALS AND NOT EVERYONE CAN DEFEND THEMSELVES AGAINST THAT!!
Stop putting so many restrictions on the shelters. They don't need to treat people like they are in jail. When people feel like their rights have been taken away they don't want to stay there. I've worked in several shelters, and I've seen how people are treated. If they wanted to help the homeless don't make them feel like they are incarcerated.
I love these Ride Alongs(the +10mins gives more wide variety of what you all do). You All stay safe out there. Thanks for all that you do.

I’m glad I’m not a cop these days. You guys have to be more soldier services than police officers.
i was surprise with how you guys handle the first situation (domestic violence). what if something bad happened inside? no further investigation ?

There are so many videos on UA-cam about corrupt cops, its good to see videos of cops in a positive way. Great work officers thanks for your service.

I don't always buy stereo equipment, but when I do, I go to the nearby woods to get the best deals.
Good grief how much homeless do yall have in Washington state?
6:25 "is that your fancy villa" LOL
Pierce county ride alongs are the best. Please do more and more :)
I’m too late but if nobody got that dog I got a nice home with a yard.

Build apartments for drug addict homeless people, with no rules. That sounds like a GREAT idea.. not.
Solid quality stuff here everyone!
WHY DONT THEY LET RESPONSIBLE PEOPLE LIVE THERE
Bless You and Thanks, Deputy Brandon Avalos! You are one of the MANY GOOD Ones! Be SAFE, ALWAYS, Brother!

I thought littering was worthy of a fine. It's illegal. Wish they would address that. Forget trespassing.. the litter is aweful 😢

Currently thinking about joining Pierce County or Seattle PD. I separate the AF in a year. Great video.
That is two totally different worlds. Pretty sure we are the best department in the state. Just ask around!
