  • CLARIFICATION: this is not her CONSISTENT supported range, it's just the whole range she has ever supported (consistently + lucky moments).
    Check out my other supported range videos: Beyoncé, Barbra Streisand, Lady Gaga and Whitney Houston :)
    Also thanks to the uploaders of the amazing videos I used here, please go watch them.

    I think her supported range is definitely D3 to F6... Her lower notes than D3 may have Vibrato but I feel it's just a comfort thing with her... Easier when it's comfortable... But The E6 note for Mariah was a staple after 2004... That note kinda became supported over time. The F6 as well because despite what people say if it wasn't supported the 2nd high note after the bridge in IWTKWLI wasn't a whistle it was head voice... She has a high head voice... Higher than most assume... I think alot of the other notes passed either end are more comfortable and can be produced as easy as the supported ones...

    Wait, ahm, why didn't you include her whistles? Lol I'm just confused...

    • @edcardenass
      @edcardenass  7 років тому +10

      'Cause whistle register isn't connected to vocal chords, supported range only includes notes you can sing producing resonance and with full connection to the vocal chords. Fry, falsetto and whistle register aren't connected registers, so that's why I didn't include them here, even if they're supported.

      +Edgar Cárdenas Oh... thanks so much 😊 Ahm, if you don't mind, I'll also ask how whistles aren't connected to the vocal chords... Thank you so much!

      Alchris John Balita how about mariah head voice at cant let go when she did at the emancipation of mimi era tour 2006

    • @VocalStation
      @VocalStation 7 років тому +4

      Alchris John Balita in falsetto and whistle register, the vocal chords are in an open shape with the air fluttering over their edges. In chest and head voice, the folds "zip up," which is why, when used properly, they don't have airiness.

      Edgar Cárdenas just curious then what would Christina's highest supported falsetto be??? I only count connected registers but I want to know why falsetto can't be supported???

      Jhanna Augustina CP Jhanna Augustina CP No even in the studio Mariah's resonance and breath support is usually only present up to G5. For the most part, almost all of her studio G#5s & A5s are unsupported, chesty, & squeezed. She has one A5 that was hit with a neutral larynx though in her song called "The one". But for the most part she is mostly consistent up to G5.

      The supported Eb6 was a lucky moment since she literally strained in all Eb6 except these
      Also she has 1 supported B2 in You And I
      Also he forgotted a lot of notes
      Like
      Eb6 in Inseparable
      E6 in I Still Believe
      F6 in Angels Interlude

    • @bclislife
      @bclislife 7 років тому +3

      Amit Agmon I don't think this video is of a consistent supported range. I think it's of the whole range of notes she supported. I can't recall a single C#3 or G#5 or Eb6 she sang perfectly.

    • @cashcow4450
      @cashcow4450 7 років тому

      Amit Agmon no her consistentcy ends at D3. She has supported only 1 B2 before but it was only once in the studio.

      Currently? Something around F3-C5, but she's not too consistent nowadays, back in her vocal peak she was more like Eb3-F#5/G5, without head voice.

    • @ingropetinal3915

      In her prime like E3/F3-F5/F#5-A5.
