Celine Dion: Supported Vocal Range (At her best)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 21 вер 2024
- Hi everyone! I hopa y'all enjoy this video, I know I didn't put much effort on Head Voice notes but what I wanted to showcase this time was her underated lower register and mixed voice.
Althought her consistency above C5 has been questioned many times, Celine demostrated she was able to support up to Eb5 more than few times. On the lower register we can notice how she's able to maintain tone and fullnes down to Eb3, more consistently E3/F3. On the head voice part Celine showcased she was able to support up to C#6, however, her consistency above A5 can be argued.
Celine in her prime was no joke.
Ela sempre foi surreal ,porém depois da morte do marido da doença se abateu muito, ela é humana ...mais vai melhorar creio
@@ibanezcapela1155 she is good now, she got better
The resonance is breathtaking 😍
8:45 Her best note eveeeeerrrrr.....
Raquella Yuta Cat/kittens are demon
Raquella Yuta yessss
I always knew Celine was good, but wow! She’s still so much better than I was expecting, Eb3-F#5-C#6 at her best is nothing short of impressive, I’m completely in love with her C#5s and D5s!
ua-cam.com/video/DFMykEqi36U/v-deo.html the g5 is supported, so sorry but at the best celine is fine on G5 and there are other examples
Another Queen! I love Celine! She's an amazing full-lyric soprano! Her lows are good for her voice type! The resonance in her mid belts is amazing! Her head voice is very beautiful!
Curly Celine's resonance tho.
Her lows are perfect! And her mid belts are beautiful. Great video!
All of her range is crazy but her C5's, C#5's, D5's are the best thing my ears've ever heard
Her supported F5s and F#5s sounded so effortless
ua-cam.com/video/DFMykEqi36U/v-deo.html the g5 is supported, so sorry but at the best celine is fine on G5 and there are other examples
11:24 to 11:27 THAT RUN THOUGHHHHHHHHHHHH
Whats the name of the song?
that lower register...
MrSkinnyJeanz3
is you saying her lows are bad? Can you do better
A B I’m saying they’re good you weirdo...
A B Are you* Well ...your English is bad lol
Cats Are Demon Oi, They might as well be a foreigner, so your comment is rather unnecessary and of unpleasant nature. Behave yourself and stay silent if your remarks bring nothing substantial to an argument.
Mic Ku Well.. I’m not fan of correcting other’s grammar. I did it just because the user named A B often shows up at MrskinnyJeanz’s video and leaves really ‘unnecessary and unappealing’ trash comments bashing other vocalists like Ailee, Sohyang. And here obviously, Mrskinny was praising Celine’s lower register. But A B left an aggressive comments to him.
Gosh everything about her voice is crazy good I love her so much
I’m thoroughly shook at how many good Eb5s there are
@Truth Exposed And F5s
Truth Exposed F#5s?
truth is exposed, her consistency doesn't stop at D5
@@graysang5386 yes she has done supported f5s
@@ingropetinal3915 yeah, accurate consistency lies around D5/Eb5 but the resonance output though
In her lower register, I think she can fully support down to C3!
D3 not C3
@@bestvocalsbyvocalists849 She has numerous well connected C3s.
A Master! Queen Celine
the last F5 and i thought she sounded exactly like whitney!
Vansh Mishra she and Whitney have always been the more similar of the two in the trinity. Not sure why everyone tries to compare Celine to Mariah honestly.
I would have added one of the E5 belts from her singing Ave Maria. They were one of her best E5 belts IMO.
these aren't supported, that's why I didn't include them
Edgar Cárdenas She supported one E5 in Ave Maria. It was open and it's one of her best E5s.
ThePianoguy89 Those notes aren't supported.
Immanuel San She has supported the E5s in Ave Maria. There is a degree of support there. The sound is open.
@@awokwok1029 Ave Maria was a great E5s no tension and throatiness
Though her songs usually don't do her voice justice (not counting l'amour existe encore) she still manages to create such interesting vocal lines with amazing climaxes and moments. Like the call the man c5, the way she adds momentum with an upward run and then flips so easily into that clear long note, ugh so amazing.
This is so spot on!!! Great video!!! I say her consistent supported range is E3/F3-Eb5/E5~C6
on the video,
you see eb3 / f # 5 / A5
no??? you do not see f # 5 ????
dedede jereme I said consistent supported range.
ok ... but if you remove "consistent" ;;;
her supported range is e3 / f # 5 / bB5 OK? ? ?
^^
consistent" ;;; does not mean anything ^^
dedede jereme This video clearly showcases her being consistent from E3/F3 in her lows, up to Eb5 in her mixed range, and up to A5 in head voice.
did very well with resonance
Super fantastic! Céline Queen forever! Wonderful person and wonderful singer! I love Céline so much! Thanks!
Eb3/E3 - Eb5/E5 - Bb5/C6 Impressive❤
2 octaves supported range with mixed voice!!!!
@Terence Fairy Bener bgt. larynx setinggi langit dan setipis kertasnya sohyang diatas E5 selalu dibilang resonance besar padahal gk lebih dari sekadar Noisy buzz yg berisik. bahkan udah kehilangan chiaro nya sama sekali😂
@Terence Fairy omg itu perform ter-cringe sohyang has ever made🤦♂️😂 dan semua nada2nya contricted abis wkwkwk

thank you ! one day I hope to see the notes of celine dion not supported because the notes of celine dion not supported are also superb beautiful! she has lots of notes like that which are impressive
it's part of singing
this is part of the vocal range that must have not forgotten
even sometimes unsupported notes are more awesome more beautiful than some supported notes ^^
So beautiful😍
Whitney, Celine and Mariah being The Trinity for a reason and nobody can replaces them!
@@ingropetinal3915 they're not better than trinity tho especially sohyang and Natalie who can't even compete with trinity on G4-E5
@@ingropetinal3915 sucks
@@allykelly Then trinity also can’t even compete with them above E5. Especially Sohyang will destroy them literally. I don’t wanna say who is better or not but idolizing trinity is also not desirable. There are many great vocalists with different technical type and certainly some of them easily tops trinity with their own forte.
@@donutrandys5543 sohyang is definitely better than Mariah but better than Whitney and Celine? I don't think so sohyang only has better mixed voice and sixth octave head voice everything else these 2 beat her but the gap between them are small and ofc trinity are actually overrated they're not the best singers in the world I can make a whole list of those who has better technique than them not even sohyang, Natalie Weiss, Beyonce, Barbra Streisand etc
her F5's and F#5 are nice wow
The C6 one Damn!!
lord pray for these 30 yo men fighting over a vocal trinity like bitch wtf get over it, they all stood out for different reasons. no one could ever sing any of their songs like themselves, they are all immortalized. WHY ARGUE

great to have added the F5 + F # 5
Thank you so much for your support! I'm really thankful!
Love it 💏
Her vocal range is just... #Amazing¡!!! 👏👏👏👏💖💖💖💖
Please do one on her underrated head voice
Oh my fuck! E3/F3 is her consistency now or prime. I think it was F#3/G3 at her prime but she has improved it? What an amazing! Thank you for an really great video. Can I suggest you some singers for next video? I would very happy if I can see Leah Mcfall or Leane Mitchell supported range!
i would love if you can do a video about ariana's true supported range, because some people in our fandom are claming she is consistently supporting e5-f#5 in 2019 when she isn't supporting up there at all and making all us fans look delusional, thank you
10:38 OMG!!
8:42 D5 her note!!!
D5 is her best note
Her C5 is heavenly! ❤
Purple Rain, Tous Les Blues Sont Ecrit Pour Toi, RDMH notes from 2017/2018 should be added in the next video. That's if you've seen them, of course.
René Chèvaprâwatdumrongsoü I don't think those super high belts can be considered supported... I believe that supported means= you take the piano, you play the note and you can sing and sustain the note along with the piano in full voice or head voice. Céline cannot sing the b5 in full chest voice and sustain it like she does with her Eb5... I think that's the difference between a supported belt and a heady mixed belt... It's remarkable at all that she can mix that high
Tommy B Nobody can sing a B5 in full chest voice
Tommy B it’s not a B5 it’s a G#5 and if you mix it can still be supported.
@@icydelight3693 that's not what supported is
She has few supported D3s and has supported G5/G#5
yes aggree
actually she did b2 in her 2017 tour
she can hit C6 with mixed voice in 2017 purple rain
But we talk about supported range
@@ismaelm.mbaangue9147 Mhm, luckily, Céline has also supported a G5. Her C6s are wonderfully mixed thought.
Nice! Glad you did some research to make this video.
I was expecting to see Bb4s from "Quand on que l'amour" and "Can't Help Falling in Love", B4 from "Ordinaire", C5 from "Une chance qu'on s'a", C#5 from "Le blues du businessman" and "Memory (comedy skit)", D5 from "Delivre-moi" and "Ce n'etait qu'un reve", Eb5 from "The Power of the Dream", "La religieuse" and "Le monde est stone", E5 from "Le monde est stone" and F5 from "Je chanterai (recording session) but yeah...good job on this.
Thoughts on F#5 from "Have a Heart", G5 from "J'irai ou tu iras (summer tour 2013)" and G#5 from "Incognito" and "It's Only Love"?
Well, I couldn't cover it all but I tried my best! Sadly I can't check anything for now, but I promise I will once I have the chance, I believe I cut the D5 from Delivre-moi because it wasn't supported, I don't recall if I cut any other you mentioned.

Sahil Jindal No...and she also didn’t have E6
She definitely supported her head voice E6 notes in AIWFCIY remix
95% were not from recent years(after 2005). Does it mean that her techniques is worse?
despairingleonardo I feel like she sings higher, but with less support
She supported F5 at Aretha Franklin's tribute. Wow
@@annettemartin766 Did she?? It sounded like she didn't..
She still has very good midbelts upto D5 now. But she got more nasal to compromise with natural aging
There are lots if not tons of supported and resonated high belts missing: for instance F5 in RDMH live in Las Vegas 2007, G5 in JSP live in Montreal 2008 ot A5 IAMW live in Paris 20/05/2008

So what did she support consistently in her prime? Like E3/F3-D5-G5? It could be higher in head voice and idk really about mixed voice. I could be wrong lol
kpoparina why won't give her Eb5 lol More than 12 Eb5 on different vowels and different era I would give her E3/F3 - Eb5/E5 - Bb5 with support above in both mix and head voice
dedede jereme consistently you believe she supported F#5 consistently? Above Eb5 it lucky moments same below E3
BAZISSINO 94 I’m not very familiar with her. I like some of her songs and her voice but I don’t know a lot of songs so I could be off.
dedede jereme Nope. Supported ranges are about *CONSISTENCY*. She was never consistent above D5/Eb5. Notice how the video has about 20 D5s and only 1 F#5? Why do you think that is? Do you think Edgar got tired and decided to not include any of her other ones? It's because she doesn't have any other ones. Everything above Eb5 in this video is a lucky moment, or a fortunate coincidence. Same goes for the Eb3 and anything above Bb5. Her best register is her low one, not her mix. So no, it is not E3-F#5-Bb5, it is E3/F3-D5/Eb5-A5/Bb5.
Awesome Gamer Seems more accurate! Thanks for clarifying

So i'm back and i just realize that you just made Celine like she can only make a good one F#5, the truth is her depth and tonality were good up to G5 in her prime, especially from Divas live 1998 but yeah you have a 'low standard' for a good singer, you are one of people who believe that a small, tiny, thin tone 'supported' and called it 'resonance' without chest development but called it 'strain' when a singer try to project their voice with chest voice.
yes in the notion of support and not support there are things not clear at all this is obvious

if I'm not wrong, as far as I remember, nowadays she only supports up to around Bb4/B4
Edgar Cárdenas Correct.
i think she's trying to be more nasal and tight and throaty nowadays due to stylistic reasons in order to cope up with the style of this generation.
a singer who uses a lot of chest and volume in her singing will automatically be rated less well than a singer who does short notes and not very chest chest. (headymix) ... this is not clear therefore, very complicated....the notion of support is not clear

My opinion on her supported range on this video:
Low register: supported from f#3
Belt register: ok (best part of her voice)
Head register: until A5
Conclusions: great vocalist... I think it’s a soprano but sings a mezzo soprano register because her belt is stopped on the F#5. Then her low register is a little point of weakness ... needs to better it.
Hah? Celine's belts didn't stop at F#5 lol. Her support is. But that's pretty impressive. Having a F#5 with a good chest coordinate is pretty impressive.
