I used to sit in this car all the time in the early 90s. My dad worked for Batten Heads. The company eventually changed its name to Batten Performance.
I remember this from back then. Chiron performance from a 2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine, in the 80's. I've left a few comments about this on some Chiron videos, and it seems nobody wants to face this reality.
The Bugatti Chiron engine is big capacity and turbocharged...so no big deal when you get down to it...this one really impressive ...fully agree with you mate !!!
I absolutely adore this car. Just recently purchased a 1/43 scale model made by Bizarre . What a gem that model is . And I believe design wise , this can easily be considered the ancestor of the McLaren Solus GT.
As I try to re-learn about these cars there are not many videos on UA-cam about these. Thx for posting! I happen to have about 1.5secs of home video of one. My video camera battery went dead! 😂 ua-cam.com/video/k0gWgnB40oU/v-deo.html I haven’t found any vids of one with the same paint scheme.
Olds made the First o.h.v. v8 which was copied by EVERYONE in 1948, in 1970 they had a cammer, four can ready to release, but chevy complainsed and shut down, Olds released in 1952 Detroit auto show, but given to chevy in 53, first auto trans, first to use turbo in production, won more wally's in NHRA THEN ANYONE! D.R.C.E. first to put big blocks over 499 c.j. 455 in A bodies Hurst /OLDS, in 68', first auto manufacturer in america R . E.. O . First big engine ,(303) in a light car (rocket 88), they say gto in 64, not true! Won the first Daytona 500 in 59' God bless Harley Earl, and Oldsmobile,
Another fact is olds started out development on the Northstar in the 1980s as the quad 8, but gm moved the final parts of the development to Cadillac when in was very far along, due to Cadillac needing a modern powerplant. The reason for olds decline is mismanagement, all the money spent on launching Saturn could have been used to improving the quad 4 (fixing engine roughness). There were some cool prototype olds was testing one was a olds 98 w/ a turbo quad 4 and a stick(I believe this to have been a test mule for the then up coming 87 olds touring sedan(this could have been a bmw fighter with the options and a 250-280 hp quad 4.motor week drove the mule and was amazed. Also olds wasn't first but it was early, and was also the 1st auto maker to turn 100 and actually made cars for 100 yrs when turning 100. As most old car makers didn't make cars early on-example Buick made plumbing parts and engines until 1903.
You might have had the good idea to leave the sound of the Oldsmobile Aerotech engine at least in some parts of your video, instead of constantly listening to your bad English pronunciation

Mercedes hitting these speeds back in the late 30s believe it or not. Yt 432 km Mercedes landspeed record.
She's a rocket,and she was made too burn!😊
There is one of each of these motors at the Oldsmobile museum in Lansing Michigan. I was just there yesterday it was great
In that first shakedown test in 1986, that crazy bastard Foyt pushed the car to 218 miles per hour. That man has got some massive balls.

I love this car, its so cool, it really does stand out, I'd love to see one on the move in person
Thank you for the additional info on this car.
Your knowledge and videos are very impressive, most of the cars you have featured I never knew existed.
I did not know that You have second channel!
Thanks for the video about Aerotech!
I used to have the lil orange models of these. They seemed so far ahead of their time. Never see them in the racing games I play which is surprising.
Makes me feel good to be at the Warren tech center
This design is so ahead of its time.
The old mclaren speedtail.
PLEASE do a video for the Aurora racecar

257mph😊😮😮😮😮😮😊
Quad 4= GM Family 2?
They could have taken the Aerotech to Le Mans. But GM s attitude Was " No sports" They had accepted Opel's Rallye Championship with gritted teeth.
Cool video except for very thick accent
Too similar to McLaren gtr longtail
Oldsmobile did it first
What you mean this car came before the McLaren
This car was made before the gtr longtail was even an idea
McLaren stole it from Oldsmobile
