    Thank you so much for showing how to neatly carry the yarn up the side! I have been watching a ton of videos to see if anyone would show it, but most just mentioned to carry it. I’m making kitchen gifts for my mom and I want them to be pretty.❤

    Craig....this is adorable❗I kept picturing a Christmas display that had this " chimney " and a " bag of presents " and a Santa, beside a Christmas tree display.
    I love tunisian crochet and you showed me how easy it is to change colors and a different stitch all in this one video. Thank you , 'Fiber Spider, you really are an awesome teacher.‼️😘

    Funny thing, I have seen the really long crochet hooks in my local shop but had never heard of "Tunisian" style of crochet. I just thought the Long Hook would be annoying to use so never bought any. Guess what I will be buying next time I am at my local yarn store! Thanks for another great tutorial. Regards Liz.

    Even when I crochet, I always go into the back bump, because it makes the bottom edge look like the top edge of the crocheting.

    I’m going to use the same colors as you do today the brick, but I’m thinking about making a castle with gray brick and black mortar

      Awesome idea, just keep in mind it may be a tad tricky to see the stitches to pick up if it's a really dark color.

    I have never done Tunisian. Can I do this in just regular crochet? Will it give the same effect?

    • @FiberSpider
      @FiberSpider  Місяць тому +3

      You could do something similar using single crochet stitches instead of tunisian. It would look different but have the same effect.

    Ok so I can Tunisian crochet with no problem but it gets fiddly for me ( since I’m trying to make a full blanket) once the hook is covered in yarn…. I’m wondering if this can also be achieved with say a half double crochet also?

  • @nadinepierce3016
    @nadinepierce3016 Місяць тому +1

    Question, if i wanted to make this longer as in lets say a blanket how would I do that?

    • @FiberSpider
      @FiberSpider  Місяць тому +2

      All you need is a multiple of 6 chains, however many you need, add 5 more and you're good to start.

  • @waitin4theworld223

    If you begin with a couple of rows of reverse Tunisian stitch the work will not curl at all!

    • @nadinepierce3016
      @nadinepierce3016 Місяць тому

      I was wondering about that. So your saying do a few more of the starting rows?

    • @DianneMajorCrochet
      @DianneMajorCrochet Місяць тому +1

      You can also do one row of just single crochet and it makes all the difference in the world.

    • @waitin4theworld223
      @waitin4theworld223 Місяць тому

      @@nadinepierce3016 reverse tunisian is instead of the front bar work in the back bar just like you do the front and it will not curl
