my opinion here James is the most talented McCartney kid... and other than Julian, in my estimation, he's the best songwriter of any child of the Beatles

hey James, I promise you you're going to be extremely successful at some point, in your own way, a couple of your songs are extremely good they're going to be rediscovered, I can tell, that "Ballerina" song is spectacular off of your album "BlackBerry Train" and the song "Angel" is going to be rediscovered too, a bunch of your stuff is going to be rediscovered
i hope he does more interviews like this. very respectable.. his last few interviews have been awkward and have sounded a little rude even though i don't think that was his intention
There is a paradox here, for 30 years he was kept out of the media and here he has to promote himself on it. His formative training is to be guarded. So he looks uncomfortable in every interview, has no enthusiasm, gives brief answers and rather snotty with Krishna GM. Painful to watch. I think its sad for him, but also the other talented people who don't get his exposure. He acts entitled to have prime time national news channel interview him. Paul doesn't have this attitude, he is very giving, highlighting the difference between a self made man and their entitled offspring. That said musically James is a genius, he just needs a bit of energy/enthusiasm/spirit/oomph and he'll rise to the stratosphere.
As much as l would prefer not to discuss it publicly - did it ever occur to you that James is probably autistic - cos you described it perfectly - in your ignorance.
I suppose musical genius is not hereditary. James seems nice, but not ultra-talented. There was such absolute magic when the Beatles came together. I don't know if anything like that will ever happen again. It certainly won't in my lifetime.
You said it when you said the Beatles came together. James is solo which is very different and difficult. He has immense god given musical talent and guts too. The amount he does just out there on his own, is astonishing. Furthermore he's a peaceful silent soul. So he does a lot with no fanfare.
