Thanks for the mention! -- Just to clarify, the provided assets have a strong connection with NATO and, based on the colors of the provided liveries, they can well represent different eras: yellows for the 60s/70s; greens for the 80s and 90s; and grays as currently used by the USAF. Additionally, elements like the fire extinguishers also represent different periods. I will continue adding more objects to the mod, and some of them might be included again in the DCS core in the future.
Really love the ED decision to include the assets from Massun92. Being a small team I'm sure that using their manpower to develop core engine systems, terrain, airframes and everything else already in their production cue this is a smart move.
Its foremost a big step and encouragement for other people to create assets that make DCS feel more organic and alive and once more an example that a mod can make it to core
Thanks, interesting as usual. I like the condensed info from different publications. Regarding ATC, I just bought Beyond ATC for MSFS and it is anazing. I would like to have something similar for DCS in real MIL ATC languages. Well as a retired MIL ATC controller I have a hang for ATC :-)
Heatblur once again raising the bar for modules in DCS. good to see ED making some smart decisions including some ww2 assets for free and including Massun92 assets.
7:00. The Massun92 Asset Pack. I’ve been using those objects. Very cool. When you get your F-4E, replace that F-16 there with an F-4E in SEA camouflage, that should look very cool! 🙂
It is worth noting that the OH-58D was not a "testbed" for the AH-64 as has been claimed recently elsewhere, any more than the UH-1 was a testbed for the CH-47. The AH-64 production was already underway when the prototype of the OH-58D began flying. The OH-58D indeed pioneered the use of the "glass cockpit" in the US Army, which benefited other airframes (AH-64, UH-60, CH-47) during follow-on upgrades later on, but the development paths of the 64 and 58 were distinctly different. The OH-58D did not even start getting weapons like the Hellfire missile or 2.75" rockets until the late 80's/early 90's, long after the AH-64A had been using them, so there was no inheritance there either. The AH-64D has more inheritance from the F-15E than it does from the OH-58D. As for the datalink question, it is not a matter of getting two dev teams to collaborate, but rather that the AH-64D's primary datalink featured in DCS is not used by the OH-58D.
Now we have the DCS F-4, could you produce a status update video specifically related to upcoming REDFOR modules - MIG-17, MIG-23, MIG-29 and SU-17/22(?)
The F-5E also needs a Navigation mode where you put 3-4 way points in on the mission editor map and it will show a heading on your compass. 🧭 similar to the SU-25.
There is no Link function between the Kiowa and the AH64, because there is NONE in real life and I'll believe the 3 SME's who flew one or both of them on that.
Thanks for the clarification. This was my misinterpretation in the way the developers described the system as capable of sharing data, but not with the Apache per se.
6:36 ED doesn't care. It's lamentable they introduce mods as official core assets. Stuff that should be in the game YEARS ago. The statics of the game are from the 90's, laughable.
I agree. I remember seeing these assets when I was a mission maker 4 years ago. I was like, “these will be cleaned up soon.” Nope, 4 years later and they still look terrible.
kinda obvious they add m92 in hindsight. in less than a month they have 2 modern drops..the oh58 and a Afghanistan. and very few modern assets. This was an obvious choice once the clean up any borrowed code.

Awesome! Thank you!!
So cool to see your assets making their way into official DCS - well deserved!!!
These object will be already present on all SP missions or only in new edited missions?
@@SkyCaptainITA its needs to be added for someone on SP or MP missions
Congratulations Massun92 We Love your Work.

The massun92 asset pack is going to be great for dcs

The Huey needs some updates as well. The biggest thing still not implemented is the cyclic trim beeper switch.

Something I would love to see would be a jester wheel for AWACS so you could ask for specific things or even to tell them to shut up from time to time
Thank you Prickly.

Still no sauna in finnish airbases in Kola map
That sounds like a joke, but I’m not sure. 🤔 The airbases have saunas for me. I just step outside onto my back porch in south Texas. 😂
@@Andrew-13579 it is a joke😀
@@banditkfk1463 😄. I always think that says Koala Map in Australia.
I'm from Finland and I need my sauna! 😂
Thank's
They need to work with Core 19 and get them to update their whole fleet with new sounds.
I think the work around is to use track ir for learning and vr for anything after
Great vid, HB not only raised the bar, but then hit it out of the ball park. HB's F-4E Phantom II isn't just good, ots fun also.

Anyone have a reason why ED doesn't update their training missions. as a vr user it's hard to be in vr and watch a youtube video at the same time.
Great update!

F5E3 we have didn't have ins navigation so Hell No,
Put portable tacan station if you really need nav aid.
Wish this guy would make some more WWII assets for DCS.
Great AAR 👍

Yeah, not it will take 15 years from announcement to release!
