@@polarlotus Alright, you asked for it!) Sanity becomes a non-issue if you make a drying rack and dry some kelp (it dries in half a day and gives +10 sanity a pop) Planting all those kelp stalks would be a great idea for the same reason Also fish dries on the rack two times faster then regular meat Shoving a lot of fish (and, optionally, meat) in the crockpot would net you surf-n-turf, restoring a lot of sanity *and* health You can shave barnacles off those seaweeds at night with a razor, giving you even more options for the crockpot Sail upgrades are good for saving space on your boat, and the spittlefish can not extinguish deck illuminator fire Shade from the ocean forest trees provides protection from the summer heat, spontaneous combustions, lightning strikes, and some wetness For the love of god use watering cans to extinguish spontaneous fires (works on land too) If you are unable to go on dry land (hello Davy Jones), you can refill your watering can with ice found around Frostjaw's island Pirates like to destroy sails to prevent running You can skip half the longer sail animation by clicking on them when prompt "Ho!" appears (works when closing regular sails and opening malbatross ones) Pirate raid instantly ends if they find a banana, so stealing some banana bushes off their island and growing some would give you a good alternative to being robbed in their territory
This was awesome. I like the diet restriction aspect of it too. With both this and your farming video, it puts the emphasis on survival in the survival game and reminds me that there are a ton of different options for food, I don't need to be relying on the same procedure every time.
Once you found the waterlogged biome, you could've actually combined 1 fig with 1 corn cod/popperfish and 2 kelp to make figatoni, a very good dish for hunger, health, AND sanity. Using the corn you get from killing both types of fish instead of the actual fish themselves works too.
Fish gives you some of the best crock pot recipes for health, like Surf 'n' Turf, Fishsticks and either Lobster dishes. Surf 'n' Turf and Lobster Dinner in particular are also especially great for sanity management.
True! Unfortunately for this challenge wobster dinner would have been banned because of the butter requirement (I did use bisque though which was very nice!) Im not sure why I didn’t think about surf and turf for sanity, though because I would only be able to use fish for it it probably would have been very ineffective
I love these challenges. I am pretty bad at the game but since your crop challenge, I can pull off giant crops reliably, so I guess now it is time to become a fisher 😀🍣
- This was actually a pretty cool idea, a good challenge, my only question (which may have even been mentioned in the video, I can't recall), is besides the Wobster, what was the 18th (last) sea creature you forgot, I am curious and can't remember if you named it.
Thank you so much for doing my idea bro 🤝💪
00:09 And you know what else is massive?
Sick red knight profile I love castle crashers
YEEEAH, AN OCEAN VID! I am so exited (yet struggle to not backseat game you and drop a lecture worth of pro tips in here)!
Go for it, I could use them! :D

You know i always hate making like normal bases seeing people actually acknoledge ship bases is kinda nice even if its in a niche scenario
I'm so happy to see ocean fishing getting a proper spotlight. It's such an underrated and actually really food effective mechanic!
Fish, ocean, frostjaw, ice, polar, polarlotus. Polar is a fish
🤔
@polarlotus i can do this all day

40:16 I think bro forgot about the ice flingomatic
And watering can
So excited!!!! 😃😃😃 0:48 he was so proud of this video
I am! it was so fun to make! :D
@@polarlotus I’m at 10:34 and I can see why you were so proud of it. It’s a great video!!!
bro thinks he's in Stardew Valley.
Based torch thrower Wilson
Spittlefish for wigfrid's fireproof falsetto too
He’s playing shipwrecked in dst, basically
Dried kelp gives sanity back, that might have helped deal with sanity. This is a pretty cool idea for a run though, very entertaining :)
Sanity drain on land, can’t eat anything that isn’t aquatic, eating mostly fish…
So you’re a selkie now.

@@Arthaius lunar wobster! There is also the eel and freshwater fish but I only found out that all of them can go in a scale AFTER the challenge 😅
@@polarlotus - So technically there were 4 fishbowl ones you could have included?
epic vid
Ultimate Nomad challenge???
15:47 so... why are frogs allowed?
@@lks19 because frogs drop their own unique food, otters drop large meat and morsels which I was avoiding
3:28 16 twigs
