I remember when this happened. We drive luggage carts in order to load luggage inside of cargo Bay Area’s of the planes before they take off. We have to go through an intersection of the runway in order for us to do our job. Many of us complained to management because there were no yield or stop signs at these so called intersections of the runway. We said it was a collision bound to happen. It fell on deaf ears, and then this happened. We now have all the stop and yield signs because of the lawsuit. Myself and the boys at the port couldn’t be any more happy for her. I’m glad she got her settlement. God bless and enjoy your new life!
@@Joedysart That's not how the law works. If it's not LABELED clearly with a sign, it's considered a HAZARD & management is liable. Just like a puddle with no "Wet floor" sign.

I work here and know that exact spot, I'm a maintenance guy on the strip. I've almost gotten nailed there so many times, I'm lucky I don't drive those tugs. Congrats to the home girl
I’m surprised they still haven’t put doors on our tugs. Other airlines have doors like delta and southwest. Even Horzion which drives the exact same tugs has doors and padded seats. We are left with no doors and during winter the brakes get ice on the pedals and ya foot slips

insanely excessive award. soldiers losing legs dont even get this much easy money to live on the rest of their livves.3 or 4 million would be more correct..lawyers etc taking one third...and she still has plenty left to buy a home CASH and a BUSINESS to pay her future freight as well as plenty left to pay for medical bills..port got had big time. anyway, dont be rushing around any blind corners so fast you cant stop or safely avoid ANYTHING around that blind corner. there are blind corners everywhere! should people get 11 million when they have accidents there??? it part negligence on her part as well as other driver
In the video, she is approaching the blind turn and advancing forward slowly. The other driver was speeding at a rate he couldn't react in time, barrelling into her vehicle. She attempted to avoid the impact by turning away, but that put her at greater risk, since the carts don't have doors on the sides for protection.
@@oahuhawaii2141it’s fucked up too we have been asking for doors for years. It’s so dangerous when it’s raining or snowing and you have ice on the brake pedal. The same tugs have doors on them at other airlines but Alaska refuses to provide door on the tugs

So common sense would be to yield at these so-called intersections. No excuse sorry.
@@Joedysart what might be common sense to you would not be for someone else. Remember, not everyone thinks the same way that you do.

Oh yeah I remember we had to watch this during training at the airport and at the end it was hard to watch!

She got her foot in the door of the business.
So did leadership/management at PoS make changes? Did any of them get terminated?
No amount of money can bring her life into normal.
Custom, extra long fingernail appointments can get expensive.

Find a good money manager or the wolves will be after you. Look for one that caters to millionaires, billionaires and has a good reputation.
Did they change and make that route safer, though? Not to admit any wrong doing, makes me feel like they don't think they needed to make any changes.
Doesn't she have any responsibility at all? One of the first things I learned in driver's training is... don't drive where you can't see.
It’s an airport not a public city road.
