- When frequently asked what is my all-time favorite place I ever reviewed, I always give the same answer. Come along with me to Bagdad, KY to B&N FOOD MARKET and find out why I live it so much. Family owned and operated for over 50-years. Support local!!
Country restaurants are the best, and need advocates like you Barry. Fewer and fewer of these kinds of places are around anymore. Could tell how excited you were for this one Man...your kind of place!!
Exactly my kind of place.
One of my favorite parts of your videos is the music and country scenes at the beginning, peaceful and calming.
Glad you like it.
The triple snap on the first bite was a thing of beauty
Well thank you sir!
What a delicious looking place. If I ever get down that way I'm definitely trying. Thanks for another great review!!!😊
Thanks for joining me!
Grew up right down the street, went to school with Buckshot, and was good friend of mine. Now I live in central MN, but I miss Bagdad and the people more than I could possibly express. The B&N is an institution, and the people are the best! Love Bagdad, need to get back home for a visit!
Yes, you can tell the folks out there are awesome!!
Excellent choice. I was lucky to eat there quite a few times when I worked in that area. Always delicious. Thanks for posting the pics of Goodalls as well, brings back some good memories of that time.
Thank you! Yes, great memories fro the old Goodall days.
My mom made souse for years. Country people know about souse and head cheese as well as liver pudding.
Oh yeah!!
Glad I discovered & subbed to this channel. I'm gonna have to go check this place out with the kids this summer!
You’re gonna love it!
Thanks for subbing!
Absolutely my favorite is the grocery stores that you go visit because of the best I don’t care about the restaurants and things unless they’re all holes in the wall, but I love the old grocery stores
Another great video Barry! Keep em coming
Thank you! I’ll do it!
Many times in my early life soup beans and cornbread was supper
Not much better than that.
While doing some training at a paper mill in Louisiana a couple of years ago they smoked a pork butt for lunch one day and my students all put mayonnaise on theirs. I thought it sounded strange but I tried some mayonnaise on my sandwich and it was amazing. Your pork butt sandwich triggered that good memory for me. Love your channel!
I thank ya kindly for joining me.
That faygo machine outside sold me.... Been years since I've had one hahaha
Good ole Faygo!
I've been watching food reviews for a while now.. goodall is my favorite food channel now. By far.. keep it genuine and keep it up.. take ryan with you more. I enjoy it😁.. shout me out on the mext video with a quadruple snapping turtle bite!!! Take care
Ryan will be on soon. Thank you so much for the great supportive input!
That Grace hot sauce is amazing thanks for tuning me in on to it
You’re very welcome. Glad you like it.
My kind of place, and everything covered in Grace. How can you go wrong. Thanks Barry for another great review.
Thanks a lot! It’s awesome!
Jeepers! Hi! So sorry I missed the Friday video. Had to travel for my spring football game. Hope you had a wonderful weekend Mr. Goodall! Your biggest fan-Douglas E. Doodle.
All good. You’ve got some catching up to do. lol!! Thanks for being a great fan of the show!
Parents made pickled pigs feet with veal and various spices. Deboned and put the meat and broth mixture into containers and refrigerate. Ate cold water diced sweet onions and vinegar. Same thing with souse!
I can still smell the hair burning on top of the stove from the pigs feet. I couldn’t eat it….
Lancaster, Pa. Is the place to go for homemade meats, sausages, liver pudding, head cheese, souse, blood pudding, smoked kolbassi, dried chipped beef, bologna ring, ect.
Not local to you but worth the trip and take the family to Hershey Park.
I definitely would enjoy browsing in this store. You have Buckshot and we have Amos!!!
Good review as always, Barry.
Thank you! All those meats are right up my ally. I might have to get up there and meet Amos some day.
B&N is truly a special place. Homemade softserve, souse, the pinto beans with serrano peppers... And those briskets look incredible. Bagdad Kentucky has a real treasure. Even the kids know! Thank you for showing us!
Thanks for coming along with me.
You can't go wrong with a ride out to B&N Food Market! Great review as always!
Thank you!!
luv the intro music…B&N Market today…Newt Burger…yes, all about the freshly ground beef…incredible brisket, corn bread and tomatillo sauce…so dang good…thank you.
Talk to Buckshot?
I see you did. Glad you made it.
Yes , B & N a winner for sure!
Exactly!!
Looks like a good ole country place, good food, good value.
Yes!
Looks delicious ! Great video Barry !
Thanks so much
This is the best place ever!! Great people! Great food! Great town!!
Yes!
Another great video! Thank you Sir!! Brings back great memories.
Thank you!
My family and i made going to B&N every saturday a Tradition thanks to you Sir’
You’re so welcome! Thanks for reaching out!
My kind of place. Souse sandwich 🥪 😋, yes!
Loved that souse!!
Can't hardly wait to get out there, they have a pretty good breakfast menu also ..my fav is biscuits and gravy!
I need to try breakfast also.
i was gonna guess Hatch green chilies in those beans. i grew up calling it headcheese instead of souse, but its hard to come by these days. everything looked delicious there!
Head cheese is different than souse but similar.
Dance in the beginning is 🔥 FIRE
Thank you!
Looks fantastic, will definitely check it out!
Always good to see the triple snapping turtle
Thank you. More coming! lol!!
I eat at B&N as often as I can! Their brisket is the best! Great people, too!
Amen to that!
Our local Piggly Wiggly make their own souse and it is pretty good. They have mild and hot.
Have had the purnell's and that is darn good.
It is head cheese. Made with head and cheek meat.
The key to the burger is that it is cooked from raw to order. A lot of restaurants pre cook burgers to medium and finish them to order and it is just not the same. If a place serves up a burger 5 minutes after you order it you know they are precooked and not as good.
Very good information.
looking to relocate to the Louisville area in the somewhat near future and really appreciate your Chanel, the sound effects are hilarious and the "snappin" turtle I definitely stole that at home....
Glad you like them!
Brother I like the simple things in life. That hamburger is exactly the way my grandma made it for me. The pulled pork, I eat it with nothing but onions. But the sauce looked good. When my wife cooks greens I insinuate buddy. Just finished watching the PGA down the road from your house. Thank you BG another great production! Later my friend can’t wait for the next one!!
Thank you for the awesome feedback. Definitely get them pinto beans and pulled pork sandwich.
@@goodallscountrykitchen my ma had pintos about every meal it was always country cookin
@@Old_Timer66 you were raised on good fixins.
Damn you can grub dude. 3 big sandwiches & a ton of sides too. Plus dessert. Its so much food
If it’s good I can’t stop. lol!!
Wow that ice cream looked so good!
Real bananas

I am from Virginia but my parents were born and raised in Henry and Shelby County, KY. My daddy was born in Bagdad! I still have relatives out there. New subscriber , found you via vafunseekers.
Awesome! Thanks for joining me. About how old is your Daddy?
Quadruple snappin turtle bite was dangerous you savage lol.

Hello JD!!!

Thank you for joining us!
Don't know about being better but you should check out Deaton's Market in Warsaw KY. It reminds me a LOT of this video!
I’ll write that down.
Nice one....need to send you an Izod shirt...your prob more preppy then yuppie generation...lmao. Cant beat those places sir, nice finds as always...your neighborhood caught national attention by the golf club..interesting how that plays out....
I just hope the facts come to forefront before the police are judged and convicted. Let’s see how the new mayor handles it?
Okay, I'm going to have to try the place out. Seriously hungry now🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤

Thanks for watching!
Great video 📹
Thank you!
I know you have to please everyone, and certainly must please yourself, but these restaurants are why I started watching. Nothing beats an old school, hole in the wall place
Thank you! I definitely know how to find the best spots.
I hear you talk about Goodall Country Store have you ever done a video on it or about it the history of it? Where was it and how long were you in business? Interested in the story.
I’ll try and remember to do a segment at the end of a country restaurant review sometime.
I love SOUSE ! Here in Dallas we have a few markets that sell it but its hard to find
Awesome’!
👏👏👏
dang good review coach…Jake and I will be a B&N next week!
Awesome!!
This guy has some clout, swung by there at 5:30 per the recco and the guy said they were sold out of everything 😂 way to go!

We made souse at my grandma's in Franklin KY when I was younger over 50 years ago
Nuthin better!!
Good review and look forward to visiting 😀
Good chatting earlier. Now I know who you are.
@@goodallscountrykitchen likewise good vibes and conversations. Builds lasting relationships whether we meet in person or not, we almost did a couple of months ago @ Shack In The Back in Fairdale and I didn't know you were there at the time I picked up a to go order and responded to you that I was there. The universe almost connected us LOL 😆 if it happens great if not we'll meet in heaven one day and talk about those things about down here LOL 😎
@@jdmaricle3958 Praise The Lord on that one!!
Going to have to try this place out.
For sure!
@@goodallscountrykitchen 👍
I like hog head cheese… it’s similar or the same🤷🏽♀️
Have you ever done a review on Webb’s market down in Smoketown? It’s a very old little store that does home cooking buffet in the back. Went there Al the time when I worked down there
I went there to review it. The new owners stopped selling lunches. Groceries only.
Man Goodall l heard that triple and quadruple snappin turtle bite from New York you Burmese python lol.
lol!!!
Tapatio is the best mexican sauce ever ,been using over 45 years.
It was my favorite until Grace.
Great video, we're can I find the Grace hot sauce our local Kroger in Elizabethtown don't carry it.
Publix in Middletown carries it. $2.59.
Have you tried the Brown Barrel in Midway, excellent food!
Not yet. Is it old?
@@goodallscountrykitchen not sure!
You really need to hit up The Farm Kitchen right on US 60 in Shelby County.

You should review JUST BEST in Henry County. It was awesome a decade ago....hidden country gem
Our Best? If so, I have already reviewed it. It’s awesome!
My bad. I wish Chi Chis was still open in Middletown...enjoy the reviews.
@@Newtonian40059 me too. My parents and I went there all the time.
@@goodallscountrykitchen I was a 10 in 1985 and I'd eat 7 baskets of chips watching adults drink big colored drinks and smoke. Wait 3 hrs for table. It was always awesome....Did you ever go to the Chick Inn? How about the Prospector?
@@Newtonian40059 chick inn yes. Prospector no.
Where do you get the Grace Hot Sauce from??
Publix in Middletown.
Which one of those 3 young men in the old B+W photo is you?
My dad and I sitting and mom in back.
Hi Barry! We spoke on Messenger last night. My husband wants to know how to get hold of one of your t shirts??
I wrote you an email with the info.
When we were kids Mom and Dad would load us all up in an old station wagon and head to Grayson County to visit relatives. We ALWAYS stopped and got pickled bologna and saltines. I love pickled bologna, do you like it?
In will be In Louisville and Elizabethtown Father’s day weekend. Any recommendations on a good chili cheese hotdog 🌭 , old fashioned Cheeseburger and Philly Steak and anything local to Ky you recommend???
The chili cheese dog is GET IT IN A BUN AT BOOTY’S in New Albany. The burgers go to kern’s, Weekend-Burgers or Cunningham’s.
Philly Cheese steak go to gorilla Bob’s.
@@goodallscountrykitchen Awesome! Thanks i’m a foodie any local Kentucky spots you recommend!

@@goodallscountrykitchen haha its on there mate and you never know i might just make it over there someday : )
@@davidlawrencegraham6722 I hope so Mate.
Never heard of souse
It’s hard to find. Kroger carried it in the past. Next to the Bologna section.
No ribs or burnt ends ? Have I seen this place on food TV?
They gave ribs, pork butt and brisket.
A good cheeseburger has only 4 parts. Meat, bread, cheese and light condiments. Anything else your just posing
Uh huh.
Pellet cookers suck. Food looks good I'm just not a fan of pellets and glue😮
I had the best bbq I ever had in my life last night and it was from a pellet smoker.
@@goodallscountrykitchen That is quite an endorsement there.
They need to be careful they have cooked ready to eat deli like the Souse right next to raw uncooked meats in the counter.
Should be some space between them. Do not want any juices from the raw meat getting on the deli meat.
They ARE careful. That’s why the souse was sealed & covered in plastic wrap.
Grilled...??
Grilled what?
No one likes dry bar-B-que, but what really galls me is so called "Barbeque" that has been shredded and sat in a pan on a steam table until it is a soggy mess, water just runs out from the condensed steam. Yuck!
I didn't see anything that I didn't want. Just saying.
That's way too much for pellet grill bbq.
Uh huh.
Why do you have to shove so much food in your mouth?
Because he has a big appetite
There is a scientific method to the snapping turtle move.
How else does a person eat ? Smh back off Goodall
@@SigmaNuHE481 Tammy has too much class to ever eat at my table. lol!!!
@@SandmanFightingSys she’s just trolling. She has made prior comments and it’s always the same ole bs.
Wow …. Slicing bologne and checking on briskets is apparently a very high pressure multitasking job ….
