I grew up right next to DC raised by my grandma from Edinburg, VA. This was like a trip back to my childhood!!! Fried chicken, pepperoni rolls, cornbread, collards, chicken and pastry all sending me home. Stuff I'd love to see on here is popeye, not to be confused with pot pie, simple square flour and water noodles boiled in beef or VA ham broth with potatoes, and ribble (called rivel some places) soup, beef or VA ham broth with shredded cabbage, potatoes, and tiny flour and water dumplings made by crumbling the dry dough into pea-ish sized pieces and dropping it in. Cabbage and Kielbasa (only other ingredients are water, salt and potatoes) was another regular dinner, roots in Poland but 'refined' in Appalachia. You got another sub, keep up the good work, your video and editing work is great!

That's how people are here, super friendly. Appalachia has a lot of negative attention, and a lot of it is rooting in simply people not actually knowing. My goal with my channel is to shed light on the positive things and show how awesome this area can be.

The secret to juicy chicken breast is a 3-hour brine and 5% salt to water ratio. That makes it delicious. Cooked to 160 °

Do y’all remember - back in the day - when you would go to a restaurant and just say tea - when they asked your drink - and they knew what you were ordering - I think that term started from up North
