Back again, trout season, another year playing this amongst other videos in the back round 🤙
Just started mini jigging and not gonna lie it changed my game!! I’ve noticed trout don’t bite always in spinners or spoons because they see mini jigs as like a grub. Just bought the American Premier 7’6” rod from Turner Outdoors and Dobyns Sierra Trout rod 7’4”(still casts great even though it’s shorter than recommended) with Phenix iron feather braid and Berkley Vanish Fluorocarbon bumper and man I’ve caught so many fish and noticed bigger fish love the mini jigs and minnows! So now everywhere I go I always bring one mini jig rod and one regular trout rod. Definitely loving mini jigging and your channel 🔥

Awesome video man! I'm going to check that American Spirit rod out. Currently eyeing the Daiwa Presso Ultralight Spinning rod. What I noticed is that every hardcore angler who fishes ultralight uses Izorline. Are they still stocking in SoCal?
Daiwa Presso is a much better rod imo. The back bone is there and Daiwa is an overall better rod company

Question, do you ever use a snap so you can quickly swap out your mini jigs or does it mess up the presentation and movement? Also, do you tie it directly to your mainline? Or do you have a leader that's fluorocarbon?

Awesome info... really wanting to get started fishing like this. Just curious why spool up with 4lb when you can use a braid with a Fluorocarbon bumper?
I just tried braid again. But I use primarily mono, I like the stretch! Braid doesn't stretch and to me isn't as reliable but I'm trying anyways! Thanks for the support!

Is the mirage better than the elixir and dragon fly?
For mini jigging I prefer the Mirage right now, each does it's own thing but they all have their place in my approach. The elixir is an all around sick rod, throw anything on it, was my workhorse for this channel. The dragon fly is sick also, but your hook set has to be a little harder cause of how moderate in action it is. Get all of them! HAHAH GET MADE
