I usually hate the "minimalist" moniker because the properties end up being modern and cold and empty. This one felt spacious, but warm and homey at the same time, which I greatly appreciate.
Oh it's definately "modern". The upside is efficient use of space and light- sometimes clever sometimes understated. Downside is the light ends up making the place and inhabitants washed out (think "Night Hawks", Hooper). The thing is actual humans that are alive and live on planet earth like their imperfections. The couch too big, the kitchen too small, an over big bath, an imperfect lawn over a perfectly linear pool. I like this place but not because it appeals to my brighter side. I can be a lonely character and that place knows me.
My husband and I were saying the same thing. The amount of green inside the house, and the green views from the house help a lot to make it a warm welcoming, peaceful place.
I wish they would do houses and buildings from around the world.
@@fredericchopin1667 😂🤣Us has some beautiful homes & I wouldn't wanna live anywhere else but here
Yes that would be interesting 😊
@@Karen-dm5lb but they also have beautifull homes in other countries 😊
@@emilieguillon-equitation421 I never said they didn't
@@fredericchopin1667 There's some beautiful homes in Canada too & in the islands believe it or not. But I'd hardly call US homes fake or monotonous
Only in LA that you have an acre and still be that close to neighbors 😁😁
Right? And they still claim you've privacy 🙄
They say this guy is a genius for putting a theater upstairs
A slight exaggeration...
Just what was thinking, how silly is her statement. A genius would cure COVID.
I love the warmth of this place! Really good vibes, a lot less cold than most mansions lol

Guys, we can afford a room in the house if we all pay $100
This house gives me "you can't bring food into your room" vibes.
😂
“Minimalism” for $29.5 million
The house does seem compact. Not really open enough from what I saw.
Honestly, props to the host for being able to sell the idea of minimalism and no doors for $29.5 million
For sure, a $1.9 million toll brothers house in Yorba Linda has more pop than this.
12 bathrooms .... minimal .....
All of these cookie-cutter, spec houses start looking alike the more of them you see. Added to that, they're all characterless, cold, and modular. Would really love to see properties with more imaginative architecture
You can't. Nobody ever lives there
Yes!!! Exactly what I was thinking. So boring. Needs more color and unique features. Nothing memorable.
@Kaleela Edwards When it comes to decorating the interiors and doing the landscaping, sure the owner can impart some amount of character. But what mostly gives a property it's character is a unique design and an uncommon architecture. So that when you see something as simple as a window you say "Wow, I never would have thought of designing it like that or making it work like that", and not "Meh, I've seen it look and done that way a million times already".
Lol She got really excited when she stepped into that wine cellar😂
Was looking through comments to see if anyone realized that she referred to Qatari royalty as a kitchen utensil. "amir of cutter"
I was scanning the comments to see if anyone else noticed that lolol. Stay classy, rich LA real estate lady!
😂😂
Ah yes, my daily routine of looking at houses that I could never afford
So beautiful! I love it from the first time I saw it! It gives me that feeling of calm and at the same time luxury combined with a relaxing and comfortable lifestyle! SUPER!!!
All these houses starting to look da same
Yep
Cookie-cutter luxury house. Zero personality, nothing interesting to look at.
@@lsamoa To some extent I would say that's the point of this kind of design! Ideally the house isn't the focus-it disappears and lets the people who live there do so however they want because it's relatively free of form. Whether or not any given minimalist house achieves that is up to the viewer. And of course sometimes it just isn't to everyone's taste. Just my 2/c!
@@KaiBurley I get the idea in theory but in reality these houses all look the same when lived in as well. Most rich people have no sense of style and just hire the same popular interior designers.
Am I the only one who doesn't like ANY of the houses in LA? Like I always find myself wondering what is so appealing about living in a "minimalist" museum
It’s always the same thing modern white and open spaces I prefer the ones that aren’t in big cities and are way bigger property and house wise and some of them are still cheaper than this house
I agree, I would much rather an old style town house or a European styled villa
I also agree but you got to realize the people living in these mansions own like 5 diffrent propertys so they probs have houses out of city too but idk.
I usually agree with this but somehow I really liked this house. It felt really well spaced out and warm and 'homey' in my opinion. If I'd have that kinda money, that's a house I'd considering buying. :D
They're are some beautiful and unique homes there, they just don't get showcased
This actually a very beautifully put together home I love how airy it feels and the colors combinations and tones of the house and the structure too! The pool is very fitting as well! The view is gorgeous as well!
Stunning design and stunning property.
one of the best i`ve ever seen
Love the library 📚
Lovely home tour, stunning visuals.
6:50 I like how it looks like its in the jungle
Look beautiful so far 😍
Beautiful
Love the fleetwood doors
I would love to see more houses from other places like the French Riviera or Italy
Beautiful modern design mansion.

nows that's a vibe.. 😭😭
Wir warten schon auf den Reaktionsboss
Hab den Kommentar schon gesucht 😂
Looks like it was inspired by the 924 bel aire mansion
Yeah i was thinking the same thing
This house is older than 924 bel air
Gorgeous
What sells this is Linda May’s personal knowledge and passion for this interesting property having experienced this house in a social setting. The garden terraces deserved a little more time. It would help to see the entrance and front of the house, also what garage facilities there are.
Imagine the taxes on on a property like this.
Eye watering im sure!
If you able to afford this mansion, you are probably dodge taxes easily.

“Neighbours like Elon Musk and the ‘aim ear of cutter” shudder-shudder. Probably not the “most favourite” advert for the education system
I mean do you expect the lady to say "امیر" and "قطر"? None of those sounds really exist in American English fam lol you don't feel that's not a close enough approximation?
Who wishes they could have a home like this ?
Apparently, Trevor Noah owns this home now.
She really brought that bottle to the screening room.
Van nalh tak😱😍
Show us more houses from around the world
How many oaks did they cut down to redo the whole hill?
Really a sense of minimalism haha
A house of that stature should be presented in 4K. I would expect nothing less if I was the homeowner.
Bonjour,
Fabuleux et merci pour ce merveilleux échange et bien cordialement à vous.

I would live in this house
not that i will
But i would
12 bathrooms? For me1 for each bedroom, 1 for company, and 1 for the pool house
Everybody dies but not everybody gets to live a luxurious life
Yeah that’s why I’m on my way to achieving a lot that

Back from the honeymoon. I'm gonna have some catching up to do...
Cool, I have the same house in GTA.

Lemme grab my 30 mil that i have here laying around...yep 😂
Home theaters are put in the basement because it’s dark. Natural light it makes it harder to see the screen.
I feel the modern Japanese vibe.

But can we have a house tour of a formula 1 driver?

looks like the house from bojack horseman

houses like this are so unsustainable - imagine in 10 years when its entirely unfashionable anymore and just a massive hunk of concrete no one knows what to do with?
it's already unfashionable, this is little more than expensive airbnb
@@intranix Totally. I cant believe people are still building these early noughts-type places when they have access to all the design expertise and resources on the planet. So weird! Rich people suck.
If only the house had a couple more bars
How about a house that isn’t in LA or NY?!?!
Trevor Noah bought this house recently, beat me to it....
Dam no jacuzzi?
What do you like more AD or richest
In my country, 29 million dollars is 29 billion dinars... You can buy a complex of vellas with a cars bundle and a soccer course, a helicopter with the pad and a millitary-grade nuclear shelter and dont forget being guarded by top millitary grades not secret service yet MILLITARY
