i respect his message of hard work, but as one who steals for their daily bread we do not see eye to eye. he would not want me, so I do not interact with his shrines.
Hell, my most recent playthrough, playing a traditional Hero's Journey, my character began as a worshiper of Zenithar, as he was in fact a blacksmith by trade. Before he eventually converted to the Way of the Voice (I downloaded an alternate version of Talos for Wintersun, but the effects reflected the Way of the Voice)
I follow that take often too! Going from a humble blacksmith to a mighty warrior, then after the fighting is done, he either returns to his blacksmithing days or becomes a follower in the Way Of The Voice I like to think the Daedric Prince Malacath is sort of like a mix of both ways. Zenith for the work ethic, and the Way Of The Voice for the rules and strict ways that his followers must live. Hence why he stole the position of favourite Prince from Hircine
Don't forget that you can get multiple amulet of Talos, and equip them whenever you acquire werewolf form or vampire lord form and have a follower. Infinite shouts galore
I know right? Or take it one step further, Use said soul gem and enchant it with the soul gem and name the item from the soul trapped victim. Sorry. I'm evil. Lol
Because it wasn't Akatosh who gave the ability to shout to mortals; if anything, other than Talos, Kynareth should be the one who gives you a shout bonus.
@collectorofmyst2107 Nobody "gave" anyone the ability to Shout. Shouts disturb the Godhead's dream and directly alter reality, but they must be done perfectly. Great ideas! Permanent buffs, or even just a 7 in-game days buff would be much better - like going to church on Sundays I guess lol rather than praying every single day. I like the debuff idea also 👌 you have to live by the deities rules, or suffer the consequences! And how about if it worked the other way too - so if you were good and performed a side-quest for the deity every 1-7 in-game days following the blessing, (like rid these undead from this tomb - Meridia), the deity would reward you with a boost to the original blessing and continued loyalty would further see you buff the blessing up its cap!
Solitude is great for trading because of the shrine of Dibela and easy access to gift of charity, granting an easy 25 bonus to speech. The radiant rainment on top has a good chance to sell amulets of Dibella for a cheap +10 or some other bartering boosting jewelry. In general its the best palce to start earning big bucks, if you are not planning to steal everything thats not bolted down.
I actually don't really utilize shrine blessings. My go to is the standing stones, specifically, I use the Horse Stone. I see the best results in the raid of that one dragon priest's tomb/citadel near Riften. I forget the name because I'm really bad at remembering names (and faces).
Notably, one can make shouts like elemental fury, and slow time last longer than their cooldown through the use of fortify alteration potions on the off chance you don't desire to be a necromage vampire or you simply don't wish to wear the amulet of talos.
The video was excellent.... except for the audio. You might want to try the trick that I've heard some youtubers use: record your audio under a thick blanket, so you don't get so much echo.
I know the video is a bit older, I just figured I'd throw this out there. Nocturnal's blessing would be substantially better if you had access to it BEFORE the questline that expects you to use the most stealth in the game. Giving it to us after we have completed the thieves guild questline in it's entirety is kinda a moot point. It would have made more sense to make her blessing something that would be more tangible and fit better as a reward for the player completing the questline, like sneak attack damage. That would give her a completely unique and useful blessing.
Yeah, that would have made sense tbf, allowing us to activate the shrine earlier, and yeah, +10 Sneak is a pretty average reward for going through all those quests. I agree, a sneak attack bonus would have been better. I also think having the ability to perform a stealth takedown when close to the target would’ve been awesome! 🥷
Shrines of talos actually do work, it displays incorrectly in descriptions. Its expressed as .2 reduction, and was carried over into the description. It still works as intended
If it's only the blessings and not the devotee stuff, Tall Papa is just plain broken. 10% bonus to enchanting is essentially a permanent 10% bonus to whatever you want forever and that doesn't stop you from worshiping anyone else for their bonuses.
I can't say I find the shout reducing effects all that important as most of the time shouts can be easily outclassed by other abilities since shouts not scale with your character. as a result i usually just stick with a blessing that directly leverages my characters best ability to get the most out of it. and the amulet of talos again wastes that valuable amulet which when enchanting is maxed can have two enchantments with one enhancing your primary skill with the secondary effect being of coarse resist magic. Maybe its just my playstyle but no matter what type of character I make (OP archer, warrior, stealth, illusion, OP mage, etc...) i always find the shouts to play second fiddle and I am generally unimpressed with them aside from of coarse fus roh dah which is never old. so for me the number one realy depends on my build as i put the build specific blessing as number one. for
Reduced cooldowns on them allow for some crazy things. The breath shouts, for example, have much higher damage than the good Magika efficient damage spells. Especially if you get them buffed. Stacking time slow, elemental fury, and marked for death let's you more or less pop open ZA WARUDO on anything and butcher it real quick. Whirlwind sprint turns from a funny gimmick into tons of damage mitigation and focused damage on more dangerous targets, Ice Form just straight up turns combats into a series of executions, and being able to just spam Storm Call is often clearing multiple overworld areas at once. Before you spam it. Their main weakness is how weak most of the effects are COMBINED with how absurdly long most of the cooldowns are. Remove the cooldowns and the shouts being weak doesn't matter, because you can machinegun them. Clear Weather is a decent combat shout ENTIRELY because it's level 1 Unrelenting Force on a really low cooldown. Now you get actual Unrelenting Force on that same very low cooldown and can win basically any 1v1 for free.
Oh thank goodness that that 0% is just a description bug! I have an ancient walkthrough that claims the blessing SHOULD be 20%, so one could imagine my confusion.
Most of the time I don't use them, I am an user of alchemy and enchanting, long ago I used them depending on what I do but in recent years I been more on the "Lore" so I use the one that my character will use if it really was a citizen of Tamriel
Edited: Forget the crappy Vaermina Blessing, the Ghosts of the Tribunal Creation offers 3 new blessings that are actually really good. I remember there was a Mod where you can turn in Black Souls for extra retires or reduce the cooldown on Shouts, getting near Infinite Shouts is Fun.
Dont forget that talos worship was also banned by the empire due to talos being a main reason why the dwarves enslaved the snow elves
Your videos are top tier 🙌
this is great but i need headphones to hear you properly! thank you for your dedicated work!
Awesome vid. Informative, funny, delivered with the style of a tru wizard
MIssed out on the shrine of dibella's most convenient location, Helga's bedroom lmao
your editing and humor are great! you deserve 10x the subscribers man!
Shrines of talos actually do work, it displays incorrectly in descriptions. Its expressed as .2 reduction, and was carried over into the description. It still works as intended
Next in line: Ranking the Blessings in Wintersun
Now that would be a BIG ranking! 😲
The horker booty dance was the best part of the video.
I love your videos, just found you. Thank you for making these well edited and interesting videos.
Welcome! Glad you like them :)
"Heard about you and your honeyed words" - Whiterun Guard.
Probably...
Your videos are very cinematic. It's like watching a movie.
I'd love to see you rank mods that include beautiful robes.
Talos laughs in the face of unbelievers who think his blessing is only worth 0%.
Liked and subbed. Great info and humor.
Your videos are the best blessing, o grand Welsh Wizard
Wintersun mod, Bless of Malacath is a must for 2 handed Warriors 😊
Honestly, during the Mara chapter, i expected to see Victorias wedding in the Background End with the classic Arrow out of nowhere
You videos are great
Make more
This is great stuff. Dioch!
Oh thank goodness that that 0% is just a description bug! I have an ancient walkthrough that claims the blessing SHOULD be 20%, so one could imagine my confusion.
Where do you get your Welsh Wizard robes? I think they look awesome and was wondering if it's a downloadable mod
We need a top ten list of Welsh villages that are the least friendly to wizards, now.
Most of the time I don't use them, I am an user of alchemy and enchanting, long ago I used them depending on what I do but in recent years I been more on the "Lore" so I use the one that my character will use if it really was a citizen of Tamriel
3:18 then i took an arrow on the knee...
the statue of *Azura* is located just due south of Winterhold atop a nearby mountain peak 🗻
Edited: Forget the crappy Vaermina Blessing, the Ghosts of the Tribunal Creation offers 3 new blessings that are actually really good.
Blessing of Vivec: Prices are 5% better and you are 5% harder to detect for 8 hours (Meh)
Blessing of Sotha Sil: +10 Magicka and 5% Faster Magicka Regen for 8 Hours
Blessing of Almalexia: Increases Heavy Armor Skill by 10 points, and one handed weapons do 10% more damage for 8 hours (best one in terms of strength)
Thankfully they fixed the talos blessing
Maybe you could do one for items that can be difficult to aquire / rare spawning materials for crafting such as flawless sapphires or briar hearts
Woah. So Akatosh acknowledges Talos
Everyone does.
And nobody acknowledges Talos more than the High Elves that are on fatal amounts of copium that the humans have achieved divinity, the dark elves have shared several beds with it, the Orcs have a daedric sugar daddy, the Argonians are outside of conventional creation altogether, and the Khajit have gotten so high as to become divine temporarily, meaning the High Elves are competing for second to last place with the goddamn wood elves.
The almighty wizard returns
To this day im disaapointed that i cant destroy thieves guild. Bunch of washouts.
I just grab the powers and leave them leaderless
plus none of them may become a follower, neither such a key character like Karliah
...while among the Companions SEVEN, three strong and four 'weaker'
And three others at Winterhold College..
One thing to point out is that the Shrine of Talos is removed from Whiterun if you side with the Imperials.
Imagine siding with an ineffectual, dying garbage pile of an empire.
This post was made by the Stormcloak Gang
Thanks Stormcloaks. Without you, the Thalmor wouldn't have noticed.
@@getthegoons
Imagine being a Nord so incapable of complex thought that you snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, and actually get played by Elves.
Sparkette you're wrong
It remains, as well as the Riften Graveyard one (where Nura SnowShod doesn't pray anymore, that's it)...plus the unmarked scattered throughout eastern wilderness (3 Winterhold - around Ysgramor Tomb and Tower Stone - , 2 Eastmarch - in front of Windhelm and nearby Cradlecrush Rock - 1 Rift not far from Froki's Shack) and the one at Weynon Stones, Pale
My favorite blessing is the wintersun mod. Er, I mean Azura...yeah...
You're a god!!
I hit Nocturnal's shrine every time I'm in Riften.
I like to think that's the one which you come across along Pilgrim's Path, reappeared into the Ragged Flagon Cistern as soon as the Twilight Sepulcher mission ends and the Path 'vanishes' 😎😏
@@fabriziodefrancesco7083 Yup!
@@davidnoel9355 and by the way, looking around, I think I've read about a portal that connects Sepulcher to Nightingale Hall and I can't find it...but is it there?
@@fabriziodefrancesco7083 I've read that too and never found one. I can't remember where I saw it (maybe a bit of Kahlia's dialogue?) where the Oath Room in Nightingale Hall is referred to as "The Sanctum" and perhaps that got confused with the Inner Sanctum of the Twilight Sepulchre (which becomes accessible by a portal from the first room of the Sepulchre after you have completed the Darkness Returns quest). Just a guess.
