Just a few hours ago, Taehyung mentioned in his explanation of why he chose singularity to be part of their upcoming comeback anthology album 'PROOF', he said “I thought hard about who I was as a person. V is called the idol of idols because of his facial expressions and stage presence. No Singularity performance was the same and everytime he "flirted" (as Jungkook said) with ARMY. RM said that everytime V performed Singularity you would hear the crowds scream every few seconds. Also, V gave an amazing performance everytime despite having to sing and dance during several (I think it was 7) songs before Singularity. He was the only member to not get a break until later. This kept for during the whole Love Yourself tour.

@@taequilasilver7183 singularity is a good door for bts and represents their artistry vert well but kpop in general does not really keep with the expectation singularity puts into the scene. I don't think I've ever heard any non-bts song in kpop that is as complete, artistic and complex as singularity. Even some of the few other kpop groups who aren't bts who put some effort into having a meaning behind their song, it isn't really much complex and the meanings are often bland and pseudo-deep. It does not feel geniune because it's not coming from the performers themselves but the record label only as a marketing strategy or just a "concept" rather than an art expression. some kpop fans think that if the mv is dark and the lyrics are sad then its a "deep" song when it isn't really like that. I have yet to see a kpop group put as much effort behind their discography the way bts does. don't get me wrong, i casually listen to kpop outside, i think some songs are catchy, well produced and music videos aesthetically pleasing to the eyes, but i will never fully get into groups discography because i don't know a single group where i can appreciate even more than half of their albums like i do with BTS.

As kids, RM always said he looked out for V. He was interested in V the most among the young ones or the Maknae Line (the three youngest ones: Jimin, V, and JK). I think as a leader it was an effort to engage V and understand his complex personality because V was often misunderstood because he oftentimes says and thinks things that are so contrary to what the 6 others says and does.
They were also roomates for a long time after they moved from the single room dorm... Hence, his understanding of his emotions is quite high. Singularity is THE song that brought me to BTS, because of the beat, the production, V's soulful voice and the feelings that the song conveys. And to think that this is only part of the 'Love Yourself' story that was created by the BTS Love Yourself album serie is mind-blowing. I advice you to check out this album serie because everything is linked in all three albums and the messages behind it, to love yourself before you love others really is what helped me overcome depression at some point of my life. The message helped me to understand that I wasn't the only one feeling this way and that there was a solution to it. You guys are doing an excellent job at digging into the lyrics and meanings and not only listening to the song, this is why I love watching your reaction videos so much ! Personally, I believe this song showcases V’s vocal range the best, as he goes from bass-like tones to extreme high pitches. It’s also one of my favorite singles of his.
V is the reason why I met BTS and kpop in general, he captivated me from the first moment I heard him sing Winter Bear in such a majestic and lulling way, in my opinion he is the most multifaceted idol in the whole industry, he managed to make a place for himself among so many tenors and break that stigma, he is the member with the widest and most stable vocal range in the whole vocal lineup, I would even dare to say that he is the only one who can perform incredibly songs with low ranges and then drop out of nowhere a high note that leaves you breathless, he is the idol of idols precisely because of everything they saw and heard from him, hence the media dubbed him the diamond voice of Korea, the genius of the stage and the member who attracts more audience for his fascinating vocal presence, stage presence and his definite personality, each of his solos has managed to dominate in the charts, he has the organic record of +No. 1 in iTunes, OTS and song with the highest position in the BBHOT100 (by the way he is the king of OSTs too, drama producers look for him to perform their soundtracks because of the ability he has to fall in love with his voice), more sales in USA and ASIA and being the only k-soloist to have more songs with +100M streams, I respect and admire him too much, so much that I stay on this side just for him, I am eager to listen to his mixtape and enjoy his production, composition and vocal. The meaning behind the song for me is more about his literal voice. He says he doesn't have a voice, he says his throat is sore, "you know i buried my voice for you". The phantom pain is the pain of not being heard even when you're screaming. Even when your voice is the loudest in the room and yet no one is listening. I do love your interpretation of it too. The phantom of the opera fits so well with the overall theme of the song and video. (The irony of rabbit hole-ing watching you rabbit hole is not lost on me. RM is a genius Poet. Did you know he wrote poetry and posted it to a blog before he started writing rap lyrics? He was very young at that time. RM started rapping in 2007. He is literally a genius. Also, RM is ALWAYS reading books and getting inspiration from them. If he didn't, we wouldn't have the WINGS ERA (Demian by Hermann Hesse), and Map of the Soul Era (JUNG's Map of the Soul by Murray Stein). And many others. ARMY's (including me) have reading lists from RM's recommendations. And books become best sellers. You ask if RM read that book Singularity? I would say yes. V's performance is on another level, just like every member of BTS. Their live performances are always better than the recordings. The energy between BTS and ARMY is what makes it different, they are feeding off each other. I've been to two concerts, and it's really true. Yes, V has a deep and soulful voice and always has. They did a reality show back in 2014 called "American Hustle Life". In it, they had a mentor who was very impactful. Iris Stevenson was the inspiration for the movie "Sister Act II". She mentored V, JK and Suga in an episode and she kept saying how soulful and powerful V's voice was and how it touched people. V has an unbelievably thrilling high note in his solo "Stigma". Good on you guys for giving the producer the credit he deserves. Those powerful background vocals add so much to the depth of the music and get to me every time. Don't feel bad about absorbing the music with your eyes closed. I'm sure you will watch it multiple times and get something different from it each time. The rapline write a ton of the music. They are genius lyricists. I absolutely believe that RM has a brain that never shuts off. He talks often about wondering if he has too many thoughts and says he obsesses over things. I honestly think that nothing beats their live performances. No..in the beginning on the bed it was two different performances and not just a light change (2 different outfits). Kudos to Brilliant (who made the stage mix) for her seamless transitions from performance to performance. Many of the lyrics that RM writes are inspired by very deep literature. RM is an avid reader, I'm sure he would have read this book. Almost every song they do that seems to be a love song on the surface are actually to do with ARMY as the love interest, so this explanation makes so much sense. 3 full albums in the Love Yourself series had the common theme of loving yourself first in order to be able to accept love (and their first UN speech had the same theme). His voice, visuals and stage presence is mesmerizing and once you start looking at their RUN BTS episodes you'll see he has quite the unique personality. This was def one of BTS' songs that got me into becoming an ARMY. It's just pure art and who can resist Tae's vocals and this song. 100% true that BTS' music transcends language - they are soooooooooo good at conveying different emotions through songs. Singularity is about the conflict of personas (V vs Taehyung - his struggle to balance his public and private personas -- the mask he wears as V and identity etc. Not a love song) and yep - OT7!!
V's learning trumpet at the moment, even if he already plays so many instruments. I can't imagine the passion for music that these boys have. They're on top but they're constantly improving themselves.

He is highly appreciated by jazz musicians and grammy winning artists. He really did hold the highest high note record. You just need to hear stigma.. a classic and I really love this song. He is soooo versatile. He was recently named as the National treasure of Korea And his voice is called the diamond voice of Korea. Baritone singers are very rare in kpop and Taehyung is also known as the celebrity of Celebs. He is called as the father of the 4th gen. Because all the new idols literally watch his fancams to learn the stage presence. Also here's a fun fact. Hello, Jared and Jorden I am an Army 2022 from Germany and I came across BTS through my younger sister. I was a person who heard hardly music. If I followed a singer, than it wasn't for a long. The music left me after a certain time. I am a person who really isn't confidence. When the biggest self-doubt came over me, I came across BTS. For me they have opened another world. I, who barely listened to music, broke out when I heard of Taehyung "Singularity" and "Christmas Tree". Only then I understood what people said that music can change the world view. Through BTS I started to love myself, they caught me when no one else could do. Every single song has such a deep meaning. I am happy to know BTS, they really changed me. My bias is V and I'm OT7. I randomly came across your reaction from BTS. That was the first reaction video that I saw about BTS. You are incredibleI. I saw all 7 videos of you over BTS in a piece. For upcoming anthology Proof album V chose Singularity and Zero 'o clock as his pick because singularity is so sentimental to him because he himself was going through hard time in 2018 . In his inspiration why he chose this song he said - "Now I'm able to accept both sides of myself, but also keep them separate. Yes, That last Comment is everything. V was discriminated by his own company in their debut days. All 7 BTS members are multitalented but V got rough start. He was not in any of vlog, lives and videos when they introduced the members individually and even with the group. Everyone thought BTS was 6 members group. He mentioned that he felt left out and thought he got cut from the team. He doesn’t understand why they do that even now. He also got way less lines in BTS songs and less screen time at that time. But Fans and medias love him and his solo focused Fan cams and fan accounts were the first to come out. In Kpop industry, they rarely has Baritone singer and always hype for tenors or who can go higher notes. Also, they promotes Main Vocalist, Center positions members and they are the ones always the most popular. But in Taehyung case, it is different. He breaks Stereotypical Kpop norms. Taehyung paved the way for unique voices and become the most popular Kpop idol. The company doesn’t give him any main positions but he is killing it in every positions and plus he can act too. He is the only BTS member with individual two Guinness World Records, and has the most followers on Instagram and many “First and Only” titles. But he got lots of haters and antis too. Extreme Solo Stans are jealous of all his achievements. Even big OT7 fanbases don’t stream or promote only his solo songs and do not follow him on Instagram becos they wanna even out with other members. And you will see some negative comments/ cried solo stan behavior or mentioning other members when you praise V. This is the ugly Truth about ARMYs. There are some real OT7 who really support all 7 tho. But just wanna warn you there are some crazy solo Stans as well. I support all 7 and I’ve been ARMYS since 2013.

the Love Yourself album trilogy is indeed astounding but as someone who's an ARMY since 2015, we all got used to how personal BTS' music is. During the HYYH album series (Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa) which translates to The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, we had to read a whole webtoon series (that is produced by BigHit, of course) just so we could follow the storyline that goes all throughout the music videos and the songs in the HYYH albums. this is what we mean that BTS is not your typical boy band. Diving into BTS' discography is like diving into Psychology. the biggest and deepest rabbit hole that you could dive into if you're a person who genuinely loves music.
This is exciting to read. I found BTS on Feb 28 of this year and have been diving deep since then and am loving every moment. There are so many layers to getting to know these guys and their music and I am here for it.

RM said that everytime V performed Singularity you would hear the crowds scream every few seconds. Also, V gave an amazing performance everytime despite having to sing and dance during several (I think it was 7) songs before Singularity. He was the only member to not get a break until later. This kept for during the whole Love Yourself tour.

@@taequilasilver7183 singularity is a good door for bts and represents their artistry vert well but kpop in general does not really keep with the expectation singularity puts into the scene. I don't think I've ever heard any non-bts song in kpop that is as complete, artistic and complex as singularity. Even some of the few other kpop groups who aren't bts who put some effort into having a meaning behind their song, it isn't really much complex and the meanings are often bland and pseudo-deep. It does not feel geniune because it's not coming from the performers themselves but the record label only as a marketing strategy or just a "concept" rather than an art expression. some kpop fans think that if the mv is dark and the lyrics are sad then its a "deep" song when it isn't really like that. I have yet to see a kpop group put as much effort behind their discography the way bts does. don't get me wrong, i casually listen to kpop outside, i think some songs are catchy, well produced and music videos aesthetically pleasing to the eyes, but i will never fully get into groups discography because i don't know a single group where i can appreciate even more than half of their albums like i do with BTS.

As kids, RM always said he looked out for V. He was interested in V the most among the young ones or the Maknae Line (the three youngest ones: Jimin, V, and JK). I think as a leader it was an effort to engage V and understand his complex personality because V was often misunderstood because he oftentimes says and thinks things that are so contrary to what the 6 others says and does.
They were also roomates for a long time after they moved from the single room dorm... Hence, his understanding of his emotions is quite high.
In fact, the explanation by V released today about his songs also reveals how he at that point was introspecting the difference between V(idol) and taehyung(a normal person). So, RM was able to catch his emotions very fairly via these lyrics, I would say..

Singularity is THE song that brought me to BTS, because of the beat, the production, V's soulful voice and the feelings that the song conveys. And to think that this is only part of the 'Love Yourself' story that was created by the BTS Love Yourself album serie is mind-blowing. I advice you to check out this album serie because everything is linked in all three albums and the messages behind it, to love yourself before you love others really is what helped me overcome depression at some point of my life. The message helped me to understand that I wasn't the only one feeling this way and that there was a solution to it. You guys are doing an excellent job at digging into the lyrics and meanings and not only listening to the song, this is why I love watching your reaction videos so much ! I feel like I am discovering BTS' songs again 💜💜
Same as I, my kids technically dragged me into BTS with the video playing requests during the start of the quarantines in our country, but wow, when I heard his growls, baritone depth and those full toned soulful falsettos, AND I DISCOVERED THEY WERE THE SAME PERSON after a thorough research on their names, I was hooked for life.

Taehyung's consistency is no joke specially when he made sure that every single performance is different with unique aspects so people won't get bored watching it... he kept the core choreography and added his own touch and ideas into the stages... one starts with a bed, the other starts with the coat rack.. The meaning behind the song for me is more about his literal voice. He says he doesn't have a voice, he says his throat is sore, "you know i buried my voice for you". The phantom pain is the pain of not being heard even when you're screaming. Even when your voice is the loudest in the room and yet no one is listening. I do love your interpretation of it too. The phantom of the opera fits so well with the overall theme of the song and video.

RM is a genius Poet. Did you know he wrote poetry and posted it to a blog before he started writing rap lyrics? He was very young at that time. RM started rapping in 2007. He is literally a genius. Also, RM is ALWAYS reading books and getting inspiration from them. If he didn't, we wouldn't have the WINGS ERA (Demian by Hermann Hesse), and Map of the Soul Era (JUNG's Map of the Soul by Murray Stein). And many others. ARMY's (including me) have reading lists from RM's recommendations. And books become best sellers. You ask if RM read that book Singularity? I would say yes.
V's performance is on another level, just like every member of BTS. Their live performances are always better than the recordings. The energy between BTS and ARMY is what makes it different, they are feeding off each other. I've been to two concerts, and it's really true. I think the reason Big Hit kept V a secret, was so other agencies didn't try to steal him away from them. Stigma is a good one too. That's WINGS Era.
All three songs (Singularity, Serendipity, Fake Love) were all written by RM along w many, many of their Hits. RM is such a great lyricist!

Yes, V has a deep and soulful voice and always has. They did a reality show back in 2014 called "American Hustle Life". In it, they had a mentor who was very impactful. Iris Stevenson was the inspiration for the movie "Sister Act II". She mentored V, JK and Suga in an episode and she kept saying how soulful and powerful V's voice was and how it touched people. V has an unbelievably thrilling high note in his solo "Stigma". Good on you guys for giving the producer the credit he deserves. Those powerful background vocals add so much to the depth of the music and get to me every time. Don't feel bad about absorbing the music with your eyes closed. I'm sure you will watch it multiple times and get something different from it each time. The rapline write a ton of the music. They are genius lyricists. I absolutely believe that RM has a brain that never shuts off. He talks often about wondering if he has too many thoughts and says he obsesses over things. I honestly think that nothing beats their live performances. No..in the beginning on the bed it was two different performances and not just a light change (2 different outfits). Kudos to Brilliant (who made the stage mix) for her seamless transitions from performance to performance. Many of the lyrics that RM writes are inspired by very deep literature. RM is an avid reader, I'm sure he would have read this book. Almost every song they do that seems to be a love song on the surface are actually to do with ARMY as the love interest, so this explanation makes so much sense. 3 full albums in the Love Yourself series had the common theme of loving yourself first in order to be able to accept love (and their first UN speech had the same theme). Everything they do is very deep, well thought out and connected. Thanks for the deep dive. I hadn't seen the explanation video before but loved it and also loved your perspective.

It's just pure art and who can resist Tae's vocals and this song. 100% true that BTS' music transcends language - they are soooooooooo good at conveying different emotions through songs. Singularity is about the conflict of personas (V vs Taehyung - his struggle to balance his public and private personas -- the mask he wears as V and identity etc. Not a love song) and yep - OT7!!

I love it when people talk about Tae's vocal. He has the best voice I have ever listened to. Although in many songs of BTS, he had few lines but whenever I heard his voice, my mind was blown away
So happy to see you guys enjoying this BTS journey, Tae chose this song again to be a part of the upcoming album "proof", it's an important song for him too as he just mentioned he was having hard time figuring out who he was as a person. Now he does, he knows!!
tbh Watching V performing is a whole new adventure, he doesn't just dance, he ACTS, the control over his facial expressions and little body movements is insane, he's known for being the "idol of idols" cz a lot of idols and newbies study him, his fancams are the most watched for a reason, and as for this song, singularity performances are never the same, cz he always adds something new in them, either a new feeling or a new atmosphere or new facial expression, he's absolutely mind-blowing and the main reason why he's my bias aside from his beautiful and soulful voice AND warm personality!!
Note: fun fact his songs 4 o'clock (ft.RM) and Stigma were the main reason I became a fan of BTS, I was attracted to his deep voice and how high he can go too, I didn't even know how he looked like when I fell for him, he's just so captivating in everything he does, can't wait for his first Mixtape!! I recommend his solo "Stigma" to see the diversity in his vocals especially after his deep voice singularity💜

V is really the most versatile singer and his talented and has unique. He literally talking about his 2 selves. Artist V & the person Kim Taehyung. His music taste is on another level. He is highly appreciated by jazz musicians and grammy winning artists. He really did hold the highest high note record. You just need to hear stigma.. a classic and I really love this song. He is soooo versatile.
He was recently named as the National treasure of Korea
And his voice is called the diamond voice of Korea.
Baritone singers are very rare in kpop and Taehyung is also known as the celebrity of Celebs.
He is called as the father of the 4th gen. Because all the new idols literally watch his fancams to learn the stage presence.
Also here's a fun fact. He recorded this song with all the light off in his studio because he wants it to be filled with more emotions and seductive. The background vocals are also him. There's only Taehyung's voice throughout the song.

Jared and Jorden I am an Army 2022 from Germany and I came across BTS through my younger sister. I was a person who heard hardly music. If I followed a singer, than it wasn't for a long. The music left me after a certain time. I am a person who really isn't confidence. When the biggest self-doubt came over me, I came across BTS. For me they have opened another world. I, who barely listened to music, broke out when I heard of Taehyung "Singularity" and "Christmas Tree". Only then I understood what people said that music can change the world view. Through BTS I started to love myself, they caught me when no one else could do. Every single song has such a deep meaning. I am happy to know BTS, they really changed me.
My bias is V and I'm OT7. I randomly came across your reaction from BTS. That was the first reaction video that I saw about BTS. You are incredibleI. I saw all 7 videos of you over BTS in a piece. Your reaction was just nice and remember my encounter with BTS.

For upcoming anthology Proof album V chose Singularity and Zero 'o clock as his pick because singularity is so sentimental to him because he himself was going through hard time in 2018 . In his inspiration why he chose this song he said -

Yes, That last Comment is everything. V was discriminated by his own company in their debut days. All 7 BTS members are multitalented but V got rough start. He was not in any of vlog, lives and videos when they introduced the members individually and even with the group. Everyone thought BTS was 6 members group. He mentioned that he felt left out and thought he got cut from the team. He doesn’t understand why they do that even now. He also got way less lines in BTS songs and less screen time at that time. But Fans and medias love him and his solo focused Fan cams and fan accounts were the first to come out. In Kpop industry, they rarely has Baritone singer and always hype for tenors or who can go higher notes. Also, they promotes Main Vocalist, Center positions members and they are the ones always the most popular. But in Taehyung case, it is different. He breaks Stereotypical Kpop norms. Taehyung paved the way for unique voices and become the most popular Kpop idol. The company doesn’t give him any main positions but he is killing it in every positions and plus he can act too. He is the only BTS member with individual two Guinness World Records, and has the most followers on Instagram and many “First and Only” titles. But he got lots of haters and antis too. Extreme Solo Stans are jealous of all his achievements. Even big OT7 fanbases don’t stream or promote only his solo songs and do not follow him on Instagram becos they wanna even out with other members. And you will see some negative comments/ cried solo stan behavior or mentioning other members when you praise V. This is the ugly Truth about ARMYs. There are some real OT7 who really support all 7 tho. But just wanna warn you there are some crazy solo Stans as well. I support all 7 and I’ve been ARMYS since 2013.

the Love Yourself album trilogy is indeed astounding but as someone who's an ARMY since 2015, we all got used to how personal BTS' music is. During the HYYH album series (Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa) which translates to The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, we had to read a whole webtoon series (that is produced by BigHit, of course) just so we could follow the storyline that goes all throughout the music videos and the songs in the HYYH albums. this is what we mean that BTS is not your typical boy band. Diving into BTS' discography is like diving into Psychology. the biggest and deepest rabbit hole that you could dive into if you're a person who genuinely loves music.
BTS really said “gotta do the homework to get our stuff” it’s such a fun thing to dive into.
This is exciting to read. I found BTS on Feb 28 of this year and have been diving deep since then and am loving every moment. There are so many layers to getting to know these guys and their music and I am here for it.
