My contribution to this blood angels detachment was 20 primaris intercessors and 10 old tactical marines. I actually really enjoyed painting those primaris... is this the start of something new???
Thanks for going on this ride with me! As you can see I got to play with some different video elements during this odyssey with varying degrees of success.
AND you did it for charity?! Stop being so impossibly NICE!
I think he has a knack for that?
Edit: he sure does!
Its insufferable isn't it? 😉
Also aren't you treading dangerous ground? all this non-stop painting!
I love the fact that Brent is so into Dark Eldar, the absolute friendliest person on the planet loves to collect the most disgustingly depraved and brutally horrific race in existence. I love it 😂
Your minis were great aswell
I do think it would be cool if we could have a battle report of these against the army Midwinter Minis painted !
I think its funny how guy was talking about his keto diet and cutting out his sugar intake and then Brent's just eating cake and ice-cream mid video
hahahaha, we knew very little about what the other two were doing, I thought that was pretty funny too ;-)
Actually, the high-carb payload is a legitimate strategy here. A bit of easy energy goes a long way to keeping the cranial computer functioning handling cognitively-biased workloads.

Goobs painting a lot of Blood Angels is giving me PTSD
_7 years_
Miniac Saw that episode. :)
I guess that was his ploy! Your BA video was first one that got me to your channel :D Soooo... when are you doing another army commission? (maybe you could paint one Ossiarch mini for Jon's army? Could be a cool gift)
damn that must have been hard painting a force of blood angels for 7 years
who do you think won? you spent 38 hours but painted around 15 models, and guy spent 25 hours but painted a LOT of models in that time, and brent spent 29 hours and i would guess he painted 30/40 models
Poor scot
These three channels are like the Triforce of mini painting.
Goobs: Enjoyment & comfort
Miniac: Technique
Midwinter: Speed
Great challenge, and thanks all three of you for the content
I can still see Brent smiling under his mask while airbrushing!
:-)
@@GoobertownHobbies hey Brent, where did you get the music for this video?
This was published 5 minutes ago, yet UA-cam DIDN'T NOTIFY ME! HOW DARE THEY TRY TO MAKE ME MISS SOME GOOBER ACTION?!?
This is the first one of these vids i'm watching. Also, Brent, it's a lot of effort to be kind as you seem to be and I'd like to point out that it's not going un-noticed.
This is one of my favourite channels because of how consistently wholesome everything is. Even the comments are great 99/99.5 times
@@whywhy8324 Indeed :)
Don't forget how chill his kitties are.. sign of a true gent. There's a crude joke in here.. but it's just too wholesome for that.
Agreed. One of the many wonderful aspects of his channel and content :)
I these are my three favourite miniature painters and this is so cool to see them together
And also 3 videos
Right!?!? Me too!!
Nope, watching this first. Kitties.
nop, keep the best for last. XD
Truly a worthy reason.
First for me too!
+1

Well... technically I'm both watching this first _and_ keeping the best for last... this is the only one I really care about. ;)
"Infinity war is the most ambitious crossover."
Guy, Brent and Scott: "Hold my paint."
The MPU (Mini painting universe) is really coming together. I can see their superhero names now:
Shades: Always wear sunglasses. Seems like a cool guy, but he has a dark background...
Baser: Grounded personality. He keeps the rest steady on their feet and provides the tactical insight.
Zenith: Wields power and wisdom blessed from the heavens, though it could also be from a chemical experiment.
Finally the charismatic Edge Highlight, who brings a sharp mind and a positive attitude to cover every angle.
I hope they can take on the ever expanding Backlog, the giant foe Dioramus and the diabolical Detol Strip.
@@Narcian150 But don't forget the time travel lord, LA'S NUMBER ONE!
And the fragile, yet graceful Lady Transfer Sheet!
"I'm still positive about the project" You can't not be positive! You are the source of positivity!
My canon order is Brent, Guy then Scott. Why?
*Brent* props up his "opponents" with compliments like a mini painting wingman but also because he's no stranger to marathon paints. It was never a case of "can he" but when will he stop and be satisfied?
*Guy* Has plenty of experience when it comes to speed painting. He's done numerous tutorials that exceed just "cutting corners" and fills the middle of this trilogy with some great tips while under pressure!
*Scott* Started it, sent out the curse and has the most to lose. Namely his soul to his Vampire army. It fits best that he signs off last for the perfect close.
There's also the plot twist that Scott didn't actually make the curse, it was Brent and Guy!
Good that our wh 40k Bob Ross ate Health quorantine meal :D
Favorite part about Brent is that he puts exactly who he is out for the whole world to see. No shade, no filter, just honesty. You’re my kindof dude.
Congratulations on 100K subs! And now I'm gonna Watch this video. You really talked me back to Collecting and painting minis
whoa! didn't expect to see you here, what army do you collect?
@@guillaumecleach5124 I have a Bretonnian army, a High elf army, a Dark elf army, a huge chaos army and a small dwarven army, and a small Imperial army maybe I should stop
Cool to see you here!! do you have any historical minis?
@@conrad762 Yes, mostly Roman, but I wanna start to get some Japanese ones
I love how chill your cats are. Whenever I paint my space marine army my cat jumps up on my table and try’s to drink the paint water. Stay awesome man, you are making my quarantine better whenever you post.
An EGGcelent collab, you guys
ehehehe :-)
16:30 the kitty approves.
youtube decided i wanted to watch midwinter minis first then had you as next on autoplay and miniac is 3rd and i am subscribed to all 3 of you.
youtube knows best! :-)
Brent you are my Bob Ross of mini painting, relaxed, positive and joy to listen and watch you enjoy yourself. It's a real pleasure.
Well... Actually... I watched yours first... But on to the next one noww.
Oh and btw.. This is such a treat for everyone in quarantine right now... Thanks!
wooo! glad you liked it :-)
I just love how both cats just seem to be equally confused about every one of your actions in this video :'D
Also these marathons you guys did are really motivating, makes me want to paint my hive fleet leviathan that's gathering dust 👍
ooooh, tyranids would be perfect for one of these marathons!! :-)
@@GoobertownHobbies I guess these sessions need a lot of prep work, let's see how far I can get in a weekend :)
This collab content is absolutely fantastic; such a great idea guys, and Scott nailed it on the intro. (And cos I watched to the end, I can tell you Brent I watched your vid first :) )
Scott's intros are soooo good! I watched the one on his channel a couple times in a row :-)
Nope watched this one first - liked the dig at Guy for not wearing a mask when he Airbrushes, very subtle ;)
Great job Brent those Blood Angels looked fabulous.

I've watched a lot of videos in my days. I've had many interests which maad me watch loads of videos.
I must say that Brent and his channel are the most wholesome I have ever seen. You can feel his joy and enthusiasm and you can almost always see a little smile. It makes me happy to know there is someone who is enjoying his live as he should.
mmmm cake... ice cream. I thought we were going to get to enjoy that entire sequence in real time, but you had to go and speed it up and ruin the experience. Great collab guys, you're all such an inspiration!
FYI to any noob painters getting into the hobby but are intimidated by this, you don't need to go this far. This man is a maniac artisan. remember the term "finished not perfect" if you're starting out, it'll save you a lot of time. Learn to basecoat, ink wash, and dry brushing in that order and you'll have the fundamentals you need to start.
I have been painting minis for 15 years and just declared my second army finished, with my third well underway. I've painted nearly 200 minis since the COVID quarantine started and I tend to enjoy one-off models more than whole squads (similar color schemes are tedious).
So good I get 3 videos to watch from 3 amazing painters
Almost 30 hours of non-stop painting. You are a superman. Actually, your video is the first one I watch of the trio. I found your channel after your collaboration with Neil from Real Terrain Hobbies, and while I'm not a miniature painter, I find your videos relaxing. Keep up the good work for good causes.
:-) :-) :-)
1. UA-cam how dare you not notify me
2. All three of you splendiferis gents are an inspiration
3. Get some well earned sleep!
Everytime i see a Goobertown video i am excited. The warm, quiet kind of excited. I usually use the time while watching to get my colors and palette ready for the next day, so i can use the energy i got from Brents incredible videos for something i enjoy more than i spend time with it. Thank you Brent.
They broke into Scott’s house and stole some Space Marines lmao
Proof that scott secretly adores space marines.
TAKE THE TAU!!!
NO ... THE OTHER TAU.
Yours was the first video of the three I watched. Nice painting! I just love the vibe of your videos. Very relaxing, yet informative.
They say that being awake for longer than about 18 hours has the same effect as drinking 2 pints of beer, this means that goob was effectively drunk for some of this challenge and still painted to a higher standard than me
You thenEbayMiniatureRescue were the first hobbying UA-cam channels I followed when I picked up my first set of minis in the form of the Gouged Eye Blood Bowl Team, and have been enjoying the relaxing atmosphere, and the recommendations for other UA-camrs and podcasts you shout out.
Great work once again Brent, and looking forward to you giving your 2 week update report on the next episode of PaintBravely
I am sure they have chosen their models more wisely . Scott : Of couurse
The fact that you got up, and your cats didn't absolutely devoured whatever what's left on the plate makes me look at my cat with a "WHY CAN'T YOU BE LIKE THEM" kind of look.
You were meant to paint your kroots, why do you betray us like this!
I love these kinds of videos where you talk about your process and about life. I would love to see more spread out videos like this. How you did the second half of of your 24 hour Extra Life video was great, we got to see the whole process without exhausting you as an artist.
awesome job man! remember to eat your eggs!
But what kind? Sooo many to choose from!
Hehehe, I forgot that important tip! I'd better go make some eggs now... :-)
I love how even after a full day of not sleeping you seem so chill and upbeat. Inspiration dude.
Another feat of endurance, very well done and a pleasure to watch as always.
Brent, thanks so much for your positivity and your excellent content. If it wasn’t for your channel, I would have done even less painting this year than I have.
If I get something done this weekend, this video will be the reason. I’m thinking, if he can do that, I can finish some Orcs. So, inspirational?
I know Primaris gets a bad wrap for being so vanilla, but you gotta admit that when you look at the difference in body proportions between them and the old marines, they look so much better.
Oh I'm on-board with primaris, I think they look great! :-)
The combination of Goobertown and Midwinter have motivated me to paint some of my pile of shame in quick, decent fashion. Miniac makes me want to finish them so I can focus on improving without the pile go shame breathing down my neck.
Awesome collaboration!
"You're watching the Goobertown video third, aren't you?" ... First, actually.
For some reason I really enjoy the fact that you have at least ten minutes of raw footage that's you just silently eating a plate of cake and ice cream.
uploading at 6am. sure. why not.
Miniac is a madman!
@@GoobertownHobbies haha, agreed.
@@GoobertownHobbies miniac is maniac?
Great job, was nice to watch, now my energy is back to paint for my self. I still have a lot to paint 4x Leman Russ, 1x Wyvern and some guardsman to finishing :D
I think that you might have created a new form of workout; Catisthenics!
Gobbertown was in second place for me, after Midwinter Minis ;)

Good job mate! I think that's your video is the best one, really. The fact that you said so many kind words about Scott and Guy is priceless. Cheers!
Oh goody goody, will watch that right when I'm home. :)
You decided to do fine details near the end of things rather than prioritize them.
You're a madman and I respect it.
I would easily do this in 3 to 4..... Weeks!
I'm subscribed to 4 Channels about Mini painting and i love all the shout outs and collabs you guys are doing. It's such a nice community!
last time I was this early I was 10 weeks premature.
Great to see the only 3 painting mini channels I see combine. You were right, I did watch this one last. I definitely wanted to end this competition on that positive, Goobertown experience! Great job and well done by all of you.
FOR THAH EMPRAAAAAAAH
I didn't watch this video third, I'm watching it first. I gain so much from watching this channel, and the way that information is conveyed is always so positive. This channel has become my go-to for relaxing painting tutorials. Frankly, with everything going on, and with all the tragedies and sadness in the world, this channel has become one of my reset buttons for stress and anxiety. Thank you.
Whoa I'm here early! This will be fun!
Hi i'm here early i'm uh oh stinky
Two videos this week?! We are blessed thank you Brent always love your videos
"you watched this third"
how did he know?!
I think the painting miniatures as well as those who do Warhammer vids has the best community. 😂😂😂 i feel like I’ve seen everyone i watch already work together
Goobertown Hobbies: Repetitive Stress Injury edition.
Brent is the best! Loved the Video mate - and that wee container on which you rest your hands (as see at 6:55) while painting - GENIUS!
Sleep is for the lazy and the dead.
And the cats
Tom Parmenter 😂😂😂😂😂
And the people that don't want to BE dead, depending on how old you are. You youngsters and your paint marathons...
For the record, I watched this one first - I'll watch the others after work, but this was a perfect video to watch during my lunch break!
So all the mini painting channels are part of a secret organisation???????
;-)
As a matter of fact Goober, you were the first one I've watched thus far. You're my favorite mini painter on UA-cam, and I can't wait to see how these turn out. You're slowly inspiring me to pick up this hobby, thank you.
I’m watching it second actually, Scott’s is third.

Brent you're a huge inspiration to me you always look on the bright side and you are so good at what you you do and you look like you're having so much fun and you love it so much. I'm not super into the hobby but I do paint models and enjoy it very much. But I like watching your videos for other reasons as well you're just so entertaining to listen to and watch. You're like the Bob Ross of painting miniatures! Anyway keep posting I'm really inspired by you
Just wanted to say I pulled a late night for work and let your videos autoplay in the background. Thanks for making such friendly, chill and wholesome content!
Man YOU crack me up, That "interaction" with the Cat / Workout was Awsome. Big Up from Sweden!
Like @Miniac said you are THE Bob Ross of minis just joy and love
Coming over from miniac, dude you are a monster - painting all those minis, still having fun, despite them all being basically the same, and sending them all off for charity!
Great video, can't wait to see how Miniac and guy did in their own videos. I can't wait to have time to paint some minis too, it's almost painful already. You'd think that with the self isolation and working from home I'd have tons of time, but nooo, work is love, work is life! If I have any free days this summer, I'll definitely attempt something like this too!
You all are so funny. This series is great, thanks for the funny and instructive videos.
It’s genuinely nice to see communication between somewhat “competitors on UA-cam”
No bitterness at all, love it
Side note, is the painting community the most inviting or is it just me
Brent, the music in this episode was MEGA ❤️
Watched this one first, Brent, but the competitor vids are next in the menu. Great job, and a great cause to support! Much love for all you do, sir!
Man, you are wrong. Your video is the first one I saw from this challenge and this is great. Otherwise I probably would have missed it. And thanks for bringing attention to such an important topic as cancer. Your video is an inspiration and it has a proper charity spirit. Thank you! Cheers!
Right on!! Hopefully this army raises a bunch and ends up going to a good home ;-)
I saw all three of the videos pop up at the top of my recommended, this was the first one I clicked on, the other of course opened in a different window to watch as soon as I was done.

Enjoyed watching the vid! Not going to lie, I completely cracked up at the exercise break and then seeing the cake/ice cream break later. Balance has been achieved.
Cake & ice cream clearly give you superpowers, Brent. Nicely done - can't wait to see them finished!

You know who really won? UA-cam viewers. We're have 3 very satisfying videos of minis painting to watch. Thank you, that was fun challenge you guys did.

Love your videos my man! It was your 24 hour challenge videos that got me to pick up my paint brush again after a painting burn out. I love how chill your videos are and the background music choices. For the record, I came here first and watched your video first not third!
Awesome looking Blood Angels. Hopefully this was as fun a collaboration for all the participants as it was for me to watch.

I have to say, it's awesome the community is getting together for a great cause. While this challenge is excruciating, it's going to make a lot of people happy.
