Hey all! I am trucking along on the chopper project for the #smokeout rally. My last personal bit of mock up is lining out the rear fender, then it can go for a few pretty welds from my buddy Bren, and so he can make the seat pan. after that Jeff will cover the seat, then she gets totally torn down for paint and powder coat. Then the real fun starts, final assembly. I am really looking forward to that, I am going to video that in detail just for Grease & Gears TV. If you're not a subscriber, go check it out, all the bike stuff you can handle!

Monk when your baby girl is on the back , you want it totally dead "nuts" accurate , running safe and true. Honestly we can't wait to see the chopper done .
FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING DEAR TO US, TURN THE LEFT NUT ON THE AXEL ADJUSTER THE OTHER WAY!! 😂😂😂
Love the direction you’re going with this chopper and look forward to more updates. And congratulations on raising such a wonderful daughter 😊 parenting done right!
Thanks so much!
Congrats on raising a smart kid! Glad you're treating her. Good job!
Like the new fender, looks better than the one that’s on … good call…
I think it was worth the trouble and investment for sure.
Great update. Really like the build and can't wait to see it when it is on the road. Have fun at Disney with the family!
That's why I mentioned a laser
Howdy from Ohio! How did you know what size sprockets you needed? Coming from a motocross back round I know one tooth difference up front/rear makes a big difference on getting out of the hole or top end. Love the sissy bar as well, whole bike is coming along nicely monkey.
I actually bought one of those chain alignment tools, and a slack measuring tool, when I first had to adjust the chain on my bike. Those tools work wonders.
You can't spend to much time making sure shit is lined up. A poorly lined up rear end near killed me twice from pulley bolts coming loose and locking up on the swing arm. Play safe take yr time.
With a piece of flat bar, drill and vice you could bend up a lower fender bracket so there's no welding, wish I was there to help dammit.
Sir, hog looks like it’s going to be a mean mama🤘 one question.. where does that huge white body panel fit? 😉
Unfortunately not a member. However, I love these videos!!
Monk your measuring is off, that bolt was nine inches brother!
Yeah man, I love this "stream of consciousness" ramble!
Love these videos, the build is fun to follow and can’t wait to see it finished. I can see in my minds eye as you described - I know it will be stunning, more than I can imagine.
Is your mechanic hiding some where, or is he on a coffee break
Yes @Professional Monkey, I enjoy these videos. It’s not just the chopper videos but the format as well. This is why I became a fan of the channel. It’s like getting to hear from a buddy. Glad to see the bike coming together.
I appreciate that
When in doubt, always reference the "Grease Monkey" you know the one by Indian Larry. My favorite chopper ever...
Same here! Absolutely my favorite bike ever.
3:09 just the Tip 😂, the progress looks great good update...
You're daughters perfect because of her parents! Everything starts with parents that are a true part of their child's life. Pat yourself on your back because you are doing more than the majority of parents do today. Nothing better than that feeling your child turned out with morales, respect & care. Proud of you brother!
Thank you!
I think it is really cool. You are either better than you think or learning a lot as you go forward. I think it will be a Great build!!😊👍
LOVE It, Monkey!
Nice to see you understand all you know about the chopper😂 Can’t wait to see it when you finish it..
awesome video Mr monkey !!
Can't wait to see this done. It might have been mentioned but, are you going to run an open primary?
I wish, but not in the budget. Also, I tend to pop my left foot up on the primary when riding. An open one would get me when I forget... HA!
Cannot wait to see it finished
Great Substance !!!
Great video
Being a home garage builder myself I can relate
Right on
Love your videos and methods to the madness. LOL. Cant wait for more updates and the finished chopper.
Lovin the updates, keep em coming!!
Gotta ask, what the hell is the white thing behind you?!? Convertible top?
Is that old man monkeys new toy piece?!
I really like it bro and as soon as I can I will be joining your Members club . things are just a little tight right now .
I really love your channel . Stay safe out there .And MLLH&R always . And God bless you and your family .
Live in the Ozarks my 2 girls and wife will be going to Disney in June so happy for them and I'll be going on a ride to Jack Daniels ✌️
I never get calls about my daughter, which is fine. They only talk to me during conferences. No news is good news.
Loved the update on the chopper. Doing a great job AWESOME...
I don't know about great job but... 😂
The update was greatly appreciated
I really enjoyed the vid even though I'm not a member....everything is peas and carrots now....just wait till baby girl becomes a teenager lol. You may want to build a sandbag wall to hide behind for when her and mama get into it in Spanish. 🤣🤣🤣. One of my tattoo artists told me the other day Latinas are the one people she doesn't mess with . " cause their freaking crazy " 🤣🤣. She's drawing up another brap star tattoo with an octopus for me to go on my arm 🤘🤘. If you had access to a surface grinder you could insure those spacers are flat. A lathe can do it too. Good vid
I am learning so much. Will I ever build a chopper? No, but now when I go to a show, I am going to be really inspecting those custom builds!. 🙂😁
Roller my ass!!!! LMMAO!
Looks like the mount for the brake caliper is hitting the frame and causing your angular gap at the axle and misalignment of the top and bottom of the bracket.
So cool man
Turn that 4 inch 3/8 bolt around and I bet a standard 2 or 3 inch bolt will fit nicely/// Plus put a nut on either side of the threaded adjusting piece to take the strain off the threads.
Any custom chain guards?
No chain guards here!
GREAT update coming along very nice I don't have time to take on a build like this but I would love to
Humm, request more motorcycle build videos or more portable RV dishwasher videos? Tough call, but I think I'm going to go with more motorcycle build videos. I know, call me crazy, as fascinating as watching dishes being washed is, I still gotta' go with the bikes.
😂😂😂
do it, but why are your nilocks backwards?
Cause they were new and I could get them to thread backwards first try!
@ProfessionalMonk ok that's as good an excuse as any.
Great video bud I always enjoy your content. Keep it coming.
We’d just call it an RCH.
Love the video and the chopper sounds like its going to turn out awesome
Are you going to get chain slap up to your oil tank ?
I think this bike will look badass when it’s done
Great update. Thanks for sharing 👍 you'll be done with the build way before smoke out if you continue at this pace. I was wondering if you have dimensioned the transmission to match that powerful engine? If memory serves well it came with the engine but back in 95 they haven't had those Trask and you name it brands that are available, today. Have fun at Disney 🤙
I've wondered if it will hold up to hard use. I am not even sure what it is to be honest. It is the transmission that was with it, but still. I bet this motor is pushing 100 hp...
I really enjoyed this video.
Thanks!
Thanks!!!
Thanks for the chopper update, have a great time at Disney with the family! My parents never got "thank you for having such a wonderful child" calls from the school either...
😂😂😂😂😂
Da MONK strikes again!
Love the updates want to build my.own but right now my budget won't let me butmy future plans is to build one
I get it trust me. And when you budget, just double it. So many little things you don't think of!
Love what u do. The content is awesome.
Tag mounts on the side is one the ugliest things about chopper. I am not alone with this. I like them centered on the Fender with the light❤
You should definitely do yours that way then…
Is the bolt stainless?
Hell yea Monk it's looking sick
Yes. Get your shit together. Do better
Yes sir, right away sir...
@ProfessionalMonkey lol keep up the good work. I think the majority of us realize you have a busy life.
This is my favorite content. I love the details and artistry of the process. It ain't custom unless it was done 1 off with these 2 hands!
Great update love the chopper videos! Watching you piece the chopper together makes me want to turn my '85 fxwg into a chopper! It's sitting in the garage in boxes! Possibly a project for smoke out 2025.
Looking great my man ! Can’t wait to see what the end result is !
You and me both!
Keep these coming 😊
Lovin the updates! Can’t wait to see it finished 🤘
Us too!
Hmmmmm interesting
I really like it when you show us stuff that's going on it information a lot of people don't know keep up the good work P Monkey
JUST THE TIP!
Love the member vids!
What kind of fuel tank ?
Paughco sells them but they source them from a small shop. I can’t remember the name. It’s a frisco but with an older school 22mm petcock outlet and bayonet style gas cap
You forgot about us. HOW DARE YOU!
Sorry! I need to do better for sure.
@ProfessionalMonkey only giving you a hard time brother. Your a busy man and it happens. Looking forward to more on the build. It's been enjoyable to watch.
Lol. You're Fired.
All kidding aside. You are killing it aka doing a great job and we understand you have a regular job. No worries.
Great progress 👏
Not only do the members only club comment on videos, guess there are some that comment on every video.
Why make the non paying people who watch your videos feel like they don’t contribute in some way. If it wasn’t for non paying members your channel wouldn’t be where it is now.
Maybe the average viewer does like this kind of content over some Rv dishwasher.
If this is is it really is then good luck killa. There are plenty of other channels to watch that talk and work on bikes.
I’m not sure why this hit a nerve so much. I’ve never said anything about people who aren’t members being unimportant, you made that crap up yourself.
Your the best brother. Great job awesome parenting
