Hey Jamel..... I know how much you love Queen, please could you react to ua-cam.com/video/eHPv80jNoQU/v-deo.html Queen &Adam Lambert live at the Isle of Wight festival singing Who wants to live forever.... This has to be one of the most emotionally charged versions of this song I have ever heard.... Adam does an amazing job!
Its true, you can even put on cruise control, this and Dancing with Myself will make the speedometer inch up 5-10 mph on its own. I view out my speakers on some Idol once.
I swear one day I'm gonna be explaining to the police that the reason I'm breaking the speed limit is because of Billy idol- Rebel Yell or ACDC - Hghway to hell or some other song 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm always surprised when people say they've never heard songs this popular before. Rebel Yell is probably one of the 5 most-played rock songs from the 80s. You still hear it everywhere, in stores etc, you can't avoid it.
Oh, this song makes me feel like I am 18 again! The speeding tickets were inevitable and I swear the cops had a hard time not singing when they bopped up to the window!
Yes!!!! My fav Billy Idol video! Saw him perform live at Hollywood Palladium in 1984. He was great and the audience was as wild as the video!! Great fun! Love Billy!! Thanks for this!!!
At one time Billy was about as big as you could get, he had a set back (crashed his bike). After a long rehab he made a comeback but never got back to the top. If you liked that song you should react to Billy's song "Mony mony" (live) (official music video). It will make you wish you had been at that show!
It took me back to the best years of my life. My teenage years were a freaking blast!!! We had the best music, best friends that I'm happy to say we are all still friends. We Rebel Yelled through countless nights and days!¡!!!
Billy's guitarist, Steve Stevens, was incredible. He had his own band Atomic Playboys and they released an album in the 90s that had some good tracks. The track Atomic Playboys sounds a LOT like Rebel Yell.
Jamel, there's no words for how much I love "Rebel Yell"... Billy Idol... and ALL his songs! Damn Jamel! You hit my jam! The story behind this song is so cool. He was with Keith Richard's & Mick Jagger at a party & they were drinking a bottle of whiskey called Rebel Yell! I've seen interviews with the GREAT Steve Stephens, guitarist, on "Professor of Rock" tell how him & Billy wrote it. Steve used a toy ray gun from his toy collection to get those crazy fun sounds. They always leave he said like 18 (number could be wrong) bars in his music so it can be changed up by DJ's into a club mix. In this song it's the bridge where Billy goes low "I walked the world for you, babe A thousand miles for you....." Type in "Professor of Rock Rebel Yell" if you wanna watch. Just to throw this in - he did an amazing breakdown of Hotel California. Best I've ever seen. "Professor of Rock Hotel California" You nailed the meaning: one night stand & she wants more, more, more! 🤣 Next up!!! When I saw/heard Billy Idol for the first time when MTV was brand new, I WAS IN LOVE. OMG, I had never seen anyone like him before. I was hooked. Soon, his pictures and posters covered my bedroom walls. (I was in middle school.) I was lucky enough to see him in concert years later. Amazing! ❤️
Billy Idol is always one hell of an performer--especially live. The fact that he STILL makes outstanding music is a testament to his talent as an artist.
Spent Some time hanging out with his guitarist Steve Stevens at a club I worked at in Chicago. At the time I thought he was just a local guitarist. Was a great guy would make him food. Wasn't till years later I found out who he was. Great times.
How could you not know who Steve Stevens was? His look was unmistakable. And you thought he was a local Chicago guitarist?! The guy's got a heavy Brooklyn accent. LOL. 😂🤣
Genius guitarist Steve Stevens who is the brains behind the duo really, he wrote the music behind most of Billy’s hits. He also played guitar as special guest on Michael Jackson’s Dirty Diana, and he won a grammy for the theme song to Top Gun. He also pioneered the laser/ray gun sound you heard on the guitar solo.
Yes yes yes one of my all time favs from Billy Idol..... The guitarist oh man.... My neighbors know when I play this song so loud where u can hear this all the way to the park they know I'm hyped. U definitely need to do more Billy Idol White Wedding Eyes without a Face Sweet Sixteen Hot in the City By the way Billy did make an appearance in the movie The Wedding Singer 🖤❤️🖤❤️🖤❤️
Actually this song was about a night Billy Idol was hanging out at a bar with Keith Richards and Mick Jagger and they were drinking Rebel Yell, a Kentucky Bourbon. Keith and Mick were serenading the liquor like it was a girl, and Billy wrote the catchphrases they said unto a bar napkin, and thus this song was born.
I always thought it was awesome that they got James Marsters made up to look like Idol. It was hilarious when someone brought it up and he replied that Idol stole the look from him.
Our Billy was just a ball of plasma energy! I always used to think that if the most powerful Magician took a young male Lion just reaching his prime & sprinkled him with the Stardust of the universe & made him human the result would be BILLY IDOL = 🦁
Yes, this is one of the most energetic, fun songs ever. Billy was king of the punk rock era of the early 80s - my day - and his videos were faves on MTV back then. : D
Billy has so many great songs. To Be A Lover, White Wedding, Sweet Sixteen, Don’t Need A Gun, Flesh For Fantasy, Eyes Without A Face, Shock To The System amongst so many more..enjoy the rabbit hole.
As a kid in the 80s this was the first CD I ever purchased. I've heard that this song is named after the Bourbon, Rebel Yell, that Billy saw Mick Jagger and The Rolling Stones downing at a party.
Shred that air guitar Jamel,I have to say Steve Stevens can tear it up!!!!!.Billy brings the energy no matter what music you listen to . Billy and Steve may have been an ocean away, but they were made for each other.

I never thought of Spike that way, I always thought of him and Drusilla as more general types of punk vamps like The Lost Boys, but now I see the resemblance!
Spike was from the Buffy series and moved over to the Angel series. In one episode, Buffy is looking for Spike at a club and the bouncer asks "that guy that looks like Billy Idol?" and Buffy replies "Actually, Billy ... nevermind."
I'm pretty sure in an episode Spike said Billy Idol stole his look from him. And there was one flashback episode with Spike in the 80's where he looked just like Billy Idol.
In his book he said that they tried to get him to play the role of Spike and he turned it down. He said he might as well have done it tho cause they found someone that looks just like him! 😂
Oh man, I got MAAAAAAASIVE chills watching that bridge come up and your reaction. I've heard that song a thousand times and every time he gets to the the "I'll give you all, and have none, babe" I ALWAYS get excited.
I think it's his best song. This is what I call a cruise control song. If I don't have the cruise set and this song comes on, I'll be doing 90mph by the end of the song.
He was so HUGE IN THE 80S and early 90s.... One of the greats!! Abd yes, as a kid in the 80s I also thought that they are rock vampires, this was in late '83 early '84 way before Lost Boys.
Went to high school with a guy that was a huge Billy Idol fan. He had a customized metallic midnight blue '72 Chevy truck, chrome rims, lowered with a chop top. On the tailgate it said "Rebel Yell" with a gloved fist between the words.
Great reaction as always. Some more of Billy Idol includes but is not limited to John Wayne,Eyes with out a face, and White Wedding. Would like to see your reaction to at least one of these when you get the chance.
Jamel's smiling, dancing, fist pumping, & shouting out MORE MORE MORE 😃 Definitely the most fun reaction of yours I've seen so far!!! Oh, AND we had vampires too, back in the 80's on the super cheesy soap opera 'Dark Shadows' 🦇
Billy lived the punk rock life! He infamously did $140,000 damage to the penthouse suite of a Bangkok hotel during a three-week sex-and- drug bender in the early 90s. Thai soldiers carried him out strapped to a gurney and put him on a plane! Legend.

Billy Idol was legit. He knew what a rock song needed. Keep it simple and drivin.

I’ve always liked Billy Idol. He’s a badass rock ‘n roller with an Elvis snarl🤗👌
Yea I love that snarl.
That song never gets old! I can’t help but get up and dance like I did when it came out in ‘83 when I was 19.
I was 19 in '83 too! This got played at every college party ever and on MTV incessantly. Love it!
Jealous of you both. What a time to be alive as a teenager! I was born in '88 :(

Billy's guitarist, Steve Stevens, was incredible. He had his own band Atomic Playboys and they released an album in the 90s that had some good tracks. The track Atomic Playboys sounds a LOT like Rebel Yell.
