- In Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard, players can experience the thrill of never having enough ammo for the entire game which makes it very fun and not frustrating when the bosses kill you in one hit and you don't have any shots left so you have to run around meleeing enemies until they drop three rounds then you miss all three shots and die and have to restart from 12 minutes back. Also, jokes!

1.the only ppl that think borderlands (1,2 and 3) is funny are the same ppl that not only think american idol is television but hot topic is where individuals shop,and that mall metal is emo or whatever scene your tryin to steal from and act as if you came up with it today kids as well as the same ppl that picked up a controller once it became popular and then think they have the right to dictate what direction any game (especially the ones they have no interest in and never intend to play (play as in pay full price then buy their way to 100 completion)

It was a good idea, just not executed with any polish or passion. Only other "spoof" video games I can think of are that Bulletstorm thing taking the piss out of CoD, Trombone Champ (clearly a spoof of Wii Music), and I guess WarioWare in a sense.

You know, I remember there was a supplementary website for this game (it's been long since taken down), taking the form of the in universe bad guy's company's blog which had some pretty major piss-takes against AAA treatment of overworking and underpaying game developers, long before said practices became part of the standard public discourse about AAA game companies. If nothing else, I respect The Return of Matt Hazard for that.

As someone who used to say “Master Chef” instead of “Master Chief” I found it pretty fun to see it said in this game
Sony needs to make a AAAA game consisting entirely of vending machines spitting out soda cans when shot, pianos playing sonatas with machinegun bullets, working slides, Bionicles and robocrab so that they can make Oboeshoesgames happy.

I watched my brother play it, and we both enjoyed it a lot. It wasn't perfect, but it worked for us
It isn't. Maybe three good jokes the entire thing: A few of the reactions to "It's Hazard time", the whole QA twin bit, and Sting Sniper-Scope's last encounter has decent banter. The entire rest of the thing is bleh, at best.
To be fair, one of the lessons you learn at the school of infantry is how effective cardboard boxes are at providing cover and concealment from handgun caliber weapons. They also drove home the tactical significance of having a catch phrase involving your own name and how it substantially increases your combat effectiveness.
Did they teach how engraving your weapon does not increase combat effectiveness ?
They also teach you to always bring a gun to a squirt gun battle
The funniest joke in matt hazard is probably the ending of the digital-only sequel that was made of the first one bombed where matt hazard erases himself from existence
At least it has three funny jokes, that beats out high on life.
High on Life has a full Red Letter Media commentary and a movie though.

Guy just said the three jokes in Eat Lead beats out High on Life and I said High on Life has a full RLM commentary, which in my opinion beats those 3 jokes in Eat Lead.

I rented this game through gamefly back in 09, and it felt like it was designed to be a rental game that you beat in like 2-3 nights. I enjoyed it though, even if it was a lil cringe, it was maybe a tad less cringe back in 09, or maybe I just liked it cuz I was 15 and played every other shooter at the time and I appreciated the parody aspect of it.
Yeah, in fairness to these guys that type of edgelord humor was *everywhere* back then. at least Eat Lead knew it was being ridiculous.

That final boss on the hardest difficulty is the most painful frustrating crap I ever had to endure to get this platinum.I literally wanted to fling my controller into orbit.
Seriously. I've done so many games considered harder than this one, but Eat Lead still remains the worst completion experience I've ever had. It was complete and utter misery.

I played a game on ps2 a long time ago called obscure: the aftermath, i think oboe sould definitely give it a shot.
