Awesome playthrough! This game looks pretty incredible. I would mostly play solo but this gives me a good idea of the game as DT's solo designs are really good at simulating a multi-player game. Good stuff, guys!
Really well done video. It made learning the rules easy, and y'all were fun to watch. Also, huge shout out to the editing and shots - especially the zoomed-in main/player board shots - it made it really easy to see/learn what's going on. The game looks amazing - I have it pre-ordered and I'm excited to get it.
46:28 "I'll just take this free one ... which will cost, of course, two" ! LOLz !! The fact you added the "of course" in there made me laugh loud enough that my cat looked at me like "Dude, SSshhhh, trying to sleep!"
Great game, nice Introduction and nice playthrough. Railway build: Why do you get 2VP when you have built and activated the Link? Can not find this in the Rulebook. Only for completing a link consisting of min 2tiles - but even there it is a bump up on the VP-income-track and not instant VPs… ?! Keep on boarding 👍
I am not sure if this happens to only me or other videos as well. I read thru the rulebook on final scoring (Pg 20) ; this is what it says: If a player has one or more Achievement tokens left at this stage, they may place a Milestone marker on the Milestone track as described under “Recharge” but without triggering any effects (King’s Day Scoring, Nucleum placement, gaining Technologies, etc.) nor gaining any income . The limit of 1 Milestone marker per player per tier still applies. When I started playing, I was not aware of such rule. Also, when I watched videos, it was not explained. I think this is an easy edit if you can add just as a side note that it is there. Love the video!
I love the idea of this. It reminds me of the sci-fi novel Anti-Ice by Stephen Baxter, in which a big chunk of antimatter is discovered during the Victorian era, and is utilized as a society-changing new power source.
Hi! Awesome gameplay! Really looking forward for this game. Why do you get 2 VP for flipping a one tile rail? The rulebook (page 13) says "advancements in the VP income track, when a rail line of two or more railway spaces is completed". No direct VP when you built a single tile railway. Am I missing something?
1:14:30 You are not allowed to use two different power plants (white and green zones) for energizing a building. So, that is 4 uranium, not 5 and then 8 energy, not 10. Page 16: "select ONE power plant o the map". I am enjoying the gameplay so far!
I think Nick may have missed his extra bonus for "contract placement" at approximately 1:05. He had the technology that gave him an extra bonus, right?
This looks like a mashup of Brass and Barrage. Do I think Simone Luciani is good at integrating different games? Yes, I certainly do. But do I want to see something new? Yes to that as well. A liiiiittle bit disappointed about that part but no doubt I get this and enjoy it regardless :D
Awesome! Watching this now but one question: is there a significance to the city colors: orange, purple, green, tan? I'm seeing purple and orange in the actions and orange and green in the symbols for factories and laboratory and wondering if I'm missing a link to these.
I don’t believe there’s a link really? But honestly we could have just missed that. Our guess is it’s more of a mechanical choice to make the laying of tiles down more fun when you color match
I do not believe you get points for completing connections with the rails. And you never get anything for a single connection. However if the completed link with two spaces each player in the connection will get a 2 point income bump. And a three connection in a higher player count, Each rail owner will get a two point income bump
I think the main game board illustration wise needs to be better. Its like they had 2 different artists one for the cover and one for the board. It feels like you hit the garage door opener for a fancy Mansion and in the garage was a 1981 Ford Escort!
@TheBrothersMurph lmao! Love it! I couldn't get past the art which I know is lame. It was like number 3's (Fred Savages) mole in Austin Powers. Just kept going moley moley moley in my head lmao!
That’s fair. One thing we’ll point out is that I don’t believe the copy we’re using is a final final copy so it’s possible things have changed although they’d be minor im sure. But something to note in case they spruced things up a bit
Sorry don't know why there's randomly 5 second of blank screen at the beginning
It's suspense for Mike's dramatic solo :P
5 seconds of silence for the stolen GenCon skid
I’m just here to say the Intro was incredible 😂😂😂UUURAAAANIUUUUM please release the single as a short 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

They sure are, even if that means some of them are quite convoluted.

Thank you for all the kind words!!

We probably just messed up haha

Ah interesting. To late to change the video but good to know for future plays :)

That sounds super cool!
It's good you avoided taking those -5 points near the start 😅 GG can't wait for this! Already preoredered my copy!
I am now interested in this game. Thank you Murph Bros!
Ayyyyye right on glad you enjoyed the Playthrough!

We could have had an outdated (or more updated rule set) or we may have simply missed on a couple rules. Happens to everyone :)
Neat playthrough. Thank you 💚
Cheers glad you liked it!
Thanks for that video! Nice gameplay and awesome game! And, guys, you are hilarious 😂 that's exactly my kind of jokes 😂

Man i want this game!!

This looks cool! I feel like it shares some DNA with Brass: Birmingham, what do you think?
Yes, I think so
Most definitely

There are also contract(s) that require player to place a number buildings inside specific colour cities.

I do believe we goofed that. Good catch
Gameplay start 7:34
Guys do you enjoy this more or less than Barrage? Looks like it works very well at2p which Brass doesn't at all
We only played Barrage one and didn’t have a great time so this wins out easily

Hey don’t knock the Ford Escort, those things ran for ever. you couldn’t kill them if you ran it off a cliff!

Are you saying "Tollar" instead of "Dollar" or am I going nuts (which is VERY possible). If so, how come?
Money is this game is called Taler
Oooooooh. I was unaware. Thanks for the reply. Great playthrough!!!! @@TheBrothersMurph
Grab the iron clays!!
Nick refuses to use them so now Mike must suffer always
Who da He11 asked Nick? 😇
That’s a very good point
11:32 why did he get 2 points?? 😮
117+18=145 😅you were already winning, no need to cheat 😂😂
My ego needed it. Plus math is dumb and who needs it
Brass verse.
so its basically a Brass Birmingham knockoff?
Knockoff is strong for sure but it does share some dna
I want to see Nucleum coverage, but man these two are unbearable to watch.
Oh no some rando on the internet doesn’t like us. Whatever will we dooooooo
Not even sorry you feel this way because you deserve to not enjoy things
How you could not enjoy these two loveable goofballs is beyond me, but to each their own
I like to believe he meant unbearable in the sense they are so handsome and charming that it’s nearly too much. At least that’s how I feel.
