This one might be on the Christmas List. I recently got a few new games (including Castles of Burgundy😊), so I'm still enjoying those for a while. 7 Wonders Duel has always been on the list to try, so with the LOtR theming, it might be time to dive in.

I don’t know how to make a video of this or what it would even be, but I always loved how you could play and compare Tikal/T’zolkin, Mexica/Teotihuacan, and Cuzco/Tawantinsuyu. I guess you could add Tiletum/Palaces of Carrara to that

Why this amount of plastic….? I hope they will do it with wooden pieces.
Furthermore, I do not see the point of having the player boards dual layered.

The core game is there and entirely intact. It is just a bunch of added items.... why isn't this being sold just as an expansion?
It would be nice to have this as an expansion. It is a bit of a bummer that that is not the case.
Well, making this as an expansion would mean :
Addtiionnal 2 common boards
Additionnal 4 player boards
New gameboard
More meeples
Additionnal cards
Additionnal turn order statuettes
Additionnal tiles
Additionnal treasures, tokens ...
New rulebooks
New pack for solo
Not sure that an expansion would make any sense :) And the feeling of the game and how it's played is really different. So yes, it still takes place in Tikal, there are still action points, temples and treasures, but still the game is really different when you play it. (Charles Amir - Super Meeple)
Really, we are talking about a small box expansion that would contain: 2 Common boards, 4 player boards, additional cards, tiles, tokens and rulebook. The base gameboard and can be easily updated with just a few additional tiles... (lake tiles, etc.). Everything else already exists in the base game including the wood meeples which everyone prefers (verses the universally hated plastic minis). I do hope this can be reconsidered.
@@charlesamir I totally get this, and it isn't to say that anything that was done is wrong, it's just that I will most likely never buy this because I love tikal and don't want to get rid of it. So it's a bummer that it isn't available as just an expansion.
