Liked. All good except that toxicity causes mutagenesis - cancer. If accurate, I'd love to read some studies. 17-20% has a hereditary component that can be screed by genetic testing from Color Genomics for example. Their genetic counselors are useless but free. Also, cancer may be caught early with Grail's Galleri blood draw cancer screen.

I can vouch for this! I was lucky as a child in that my parents never forced me to eat the way that my friends parents forced them! I never could eat in the mornings before school and I wasn’t forced to, thank goodness. I only eat when I am hungry which is once or twice a day! My whole life I have eaten this way (not a snacker either) and although people believed I was too thin I am now 62 and have not seen a doctor in 30 yrs and never have weighed over 115lbs- except during pregnancies. Friends ask what my “secret” is to staying healthy and “thin” I never knew I had a “secret” until listening to this😊 I think we push food on children telling them they must eat 3 meals and snacks etc... that is where the (health) troubles begin.

@@diddy103177 Most of this country is type 2 diabetic and Alzheimer's rates are on a steep rise. It's common knowledge that affluent countries are subject to sub standard food products and health is suffering as a result (namely America). I find it incredibly difficult to find quality food products, especially in rural parts of the country. I also see grossly obese minors more than I have in my entire life (I'm 41 years old). Even in the military where physical performance is a metric for success, quality food options are few and far between. I say it should be mandatory because I want to see prosperous, healthy children and adults in this country. I want American children to learn how to eat properly when they are young so they don't fall victim to this atrocious agricultural industry and die unhealthy, miserable, senile and overweight.

Eggs should be Pastured and soft boiled 4 minutes for max nutrition.
18/6 probably should not be a daily thing either. 3'ish days a week is good. Do you work out much? I do. If I ate like you I would have no energy. It is not winning if you eat very little, fast but are sedentary. We were born to move. I run, lift and get after it. I need fuel. Still my BMI is 20. Dr. Ekberg speaks the truth. I am almost at a 20 pound weight loss in just two months. My progress is steady and I haven't felt sick at any time. Decreasing the frequency of eating to only once a day has helped me to lose weight and enjoy richer and more satisfying foods when I do eat. I love this OMAD diet! I don't feel deprived at all and believe it or not I still get full really fast even eating only once a day. It does save a lot of time and energy not having to worry about preparing meals three times a day. I really hope that Dr. Ekberg considers writing a book because he is truly saving lives with this information.

I have cut out sugar, wheat products and breakfast, and I have greatly reduced carbohydrates. I have increased healthy fats and the quality of ingredients in my home cooking. I have spent 20 minutes on every sunny day this summer, swimming outdoors. I have just done one 36 hr fast and plan to continue with longer fasts, and I have begun breathing exercises for stress. Your advice is good. I have dropped a dress size and my aches have improved enormously. I am hopeful now about being able to balance my thyroid hormones naturally and stop taking medication, so I am going to have another blood test and consult my doctor. Thanks to watching these videos I started OMAD 2 months ago. I lost 23 lbs so far and feel fantastic. I have already cut down on one of the 2 medications I take for diabetes and I know if I continue I’ll get off the other as well. I’m the type of person who goes all in once I’m very educated on something and that happened thanks to these videos. Otherwise, I would have been skeptical and even paranoid of the dangers of it because of what I’ve grown up hearing from doctors for so many years. Now, when I’m at work I feel full of energy and sharper than ever. Last year I struggled horribly with no energy, lots of brain fog, and high sugars, and all the symptoms that my diabetes was causing. I’m so glad there’s people out there like you who want to help. My husband has also lost 30 lbs because of this and his blood pressure has finally fallen to a normal number. This video is going in my favorites to remind me in the future of what actually works because it does. Thank you.

My mother in law was diagnosed with diabetes/insulin resistance. I recommended her to try IF, but her Doctor warned her from getting eating disorder and especially from low carb... how brainwashed someone can be, who is responsible for the health of patients.
According to Doctors recommendations she should avoid eating fat food, and still can eat whole-grain pasta (better than conventional pasta). She got less information about insulin in general and was offered to take pills and having a normal life.

Unfortunately, chronic illness has become a profit center for the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and processed food industries. As long as you stay sick, they all make money. As one keto advocate put it: we don’t have a healthcare system - we have an illness maintenance system. The USDA and our doctors recommend a diet that makes us sick, the food industry insures that we become addicted to the unhealthy diet, big pharma prescribes drugs to treat the symptoms but not the root cause - many of which have side effects requiring addition drugs in an unending cascade, and then we’re back to the doctor for more bad advice in a vicious but profitable (for them) cycle.

Came back to this video because I have fallen off track..gained half of my weight back 😭 I felt so well and no cravings. I have no thyroid yet I lost effortlessly w/ fasting and keto.. Seriously thinking about making an appointment I live in the west coast but I know it would be worth it. Would love to see a video on people with no thyroid. Thank you Dr. Ekberg ❤

I agree with 99% of what is presented here and applaud the information getting out to so many who may benefit from it. One of the things he says in this video is how large spikes in insulin are damaging, therefore it's counter productive to fast ( skip breakfast, or lunch etc) and then have a large flood of calories. This is the hardest part about fasting for me is controlling that urge to eat more once the fast period is over. Working on it though.

Hi, I have been doing IF 6/18 hours, for a year now, lost 25 kg, bloodwork best it has been ever. I experienced what you said, the key to not have a surge of insulin and the hunger that follows is to combine IF with a low-carb diet. Try it, it is very easy and works.

As a 70+ year old senior. I want to pack on about 10 lbs of lean muscle through bodybuilding~but to do that requires a eating a greater amount of protein, higher carbs, and more frequent (small) meals. I already lost 25lbs following your metabolic recommendations. I am naturally of medium build with a long history of being athletic and as a wholly natural bodybuilder. But
how do I balance good health with this goal? (the goals seem to go in opposite directions!)

My husband recommended Dr. Ekberg ‘s channel to me a few weeks ago while he was already doing omad for a while. I started OMAD basically straight away, was 62kgs now 57kgs for just over 3 weeks, not only that but I feel so good, so energetic, I ate a lot of food on that one meal per day, real food, no junk food. Now I’m so ready for 2 days fasting. Thanks again Dr. Ekberg. You deserve a Nobel prize.

Hello Dr.Ekbert, you have really change my life! I'm fasting 20-4 more than 6 months and recently i did a 72 hours fasting, no problem. I stopped the 3rd day not because i was hungry but because i felt to run out of energy , or thought so! Anyways, as you have already said, it's really not that big a deal to stop eating for a couple of days :)
    Thank you very much

Due to the busy summertime planting and harvesting of food, natural food, I haven't done any all day fasts for awhile. I just have too much ultra nutritious food to eat! I've also been socking some food away via lacto ferment, gallons and gallons, so the winter is made too. I have been sticking to two meals a day of the recommended food choices and feel fantastic. I have more sustaining energy now, at age 61, than I ever did. I'll do more three day fasts in winter, its easier not having to carry food around on those ice fishing trips I embark on. Thanks again!

Dr Ekberg, I am truly admire your dedication. I am following you for many years, and you had videos about fasting numerous times. But each one of them is different, highlighting the problem from a different perspective. It seems like that you just keep educating us until we all start listening and change our life, our health for the better. I certainly did mine, and as you said it was life changing. Please don’t stop! 🤗

Thank You Frankston Safranek. You are a great student who realize that the same student will hear the same or a similar message differently at a different time because if you desire to learn you evolve. People who think they got it because they recognize certain phrases, never really get it. I won't stop until the world "gets it."😄
