I've had the same Triton shower for 9 years. No problems. I had another one in another house for 7 years, no problems, might still be working I moved away.
Please also bare in mind that these showers, like most that are produced today, are designed to a standard so that a majority will fail after 10 years. They could, of course, build them to last longer, but then if they did so, sales would be fewer.
@Mark Sesum Some people remember when things lasted MUCH longer though. No conspiracy there. Then there is the Chinese element to all of this, and the quality of their materials, e.g. plastic or metal leave a LOT to be desired. We did not all come down in the last shower Mark!
My Creda 950DL electric shower doesn’t work properly. The Mid LED light stays off - water runs cold at full pressure. Turned the water flow dial to extreme hot - then water gets lukewarm, while the flow from the showerhead is weak. Both High LEDs stays on, while the Mid LED stay off. I then tried to remove component/s. However, after spending about an hour trying…I found they were not straightforward to remove. I then replaced the cover and left it. So, I guess it's got to be a new shower?!
Triton showers were once good however newer models are dirt especially since triton changed the pump in triton t90sr etc to a small dc pump it too weak and only lasts on average 2 years older version far better had decent ac pump , was a far better shower, also lets say an electric triton shower eg triton enrich no bleeder on this model pain in the a## plus it takes about 3 minutes to heat up and would then burn your skin off. All in all triton use to be good but now unfortunately not so stick to mira would be my taughts on the matter.
Unless your replacing old Triton!which I was! But new EAZI FIT!didn't fit as left or right multi fit! But older Tritons attach from bottom! Bought EAZI fit from bq at £98!! But didn't fit!got it to fit but only temporary as can see water pipe!! Two days later back had original shower!!£48 !!! But fitting already changed to accommodate EAZI FIT!! Not! Bathroom refit required to suit new EAZI FIT ! Shower!!!
Avoid Triton. You’ll hear tradespeople saying they’re cheap and will last 2 or 3 years.. then just replace. But do you really want the hassle of having to replace the unit (changing plumbing/cable details- more expense) and if they fail so quickly is it really worth risking you family’s safety with an inferior quality product?
Well man, I've had a Triton t 90 for 13 years only went yesterday went on fire, and the limescale that's pumping through it.... to get that long out of it I think triton are decent
@@BruceSwane Your so-called "qualified folks" are the ones that destroyed your last two showers... Triton is a very good quality electric shower and mine still works after 20 years!
This bloke reminds me of a character Paul Whitehouse used to do. "Briliant!" he used to say. Think it was on Fast show
Haha, yes!
You remember? 🙂@@Ron-Ayres

designed obsolescence at its finest
@Mark Sesum I get your point but do now underestimate the engineering that goes into making things break after a certain point.

If you only use the shower once every 3 months it will last 4 times longer
I wish they lasted that long, been through four Triton showers in 12 years (two separate bathrooms) in our house.

Does water system must be pressurized? Because after installing it doesn't work as it ment to be, water persure low and not heating water at all

Yep, had two of them fitted by qualified folks over the the last 5 years, both have broken. You get what you pay for, I guess.
