After all the years of hearing ppl talk trash on metal calling it devil music it's nice hearing people actually giving it a chance and realizing how diverse it actually is. People always thought heavy metal was just screaming but it's always had classical, blues, and hip hop elements in it
A ton of classical influence. Sometimes it's hard for people to get past the heavy distortion to hear the genius behind it.

As a singer he's been around 20+ years. With some "time off" in there, but still. Started in the late 90's with Escape the Fate. They were kind of punk/rock. When he formed Falling In Reverse their first album was similar, a strong punk vibe. He branched out and tried different things, there was some rap elements here and there. But he just kind of evolved into the stuff you hear from him now. I think he will always keep experimenting with different types of sounds, genres, etc... A lot of rock/metal bands are just formulaic and keep making the same thing over and over. Not Ronnie, he's a real musician, I'm along for the ride whatever he does.
He can rap, sing and METAL!!!

I love the contrast of you two.
This is such an deeply intense song for me. When I first heard it I was going through some rough times and immediately identified with so many of the layers within it. It took more listens than I can remember to be able to not break down sobbing when I hear it. Sometimes it still gets to me and I won’t even realize I’m in a bad place till I hear his music and it starts hurting again. But it’s getting better.

His first genre/band was Escale the Fate. His band. It was considered screamo and it's bad ass. Yall should check out Raised by wolves first falling in reverse album. Truth and Cliche by escape the fate(when he was there) They fell apart when he started Falling in reverse. Check out Champion falling in reverse. He's been around since 2004. Yeah yall missing out been following him since day 1 he is soooooo versatile and talented. Love me some Ronnie❤

Honestly, another couple good songs to check out are a little older, “Chemical Prisoner” and “Wait and See” both are an excellent alternative to Drugs. Especially Wait and See.

Having been a fan since ETF and watching everyone go down the FIR rabbit hole, you might try and guide her in the way she will most appreciate them from their older stuff and leading into the newer stuff so she has some sort of idea about his life history and his history in music so that she can understand things a lot more and be able to really understand what's going on in the lyrics and videos. I've seen so many new reactors in the last few years just bouncing all over the place and being utterly confused bc they have no clue how to interpret things. I love the reacts though and I hope she starts down the hole as well! 💜💜🤘😊
